Incredibly useful video...🤘🏼💯✔️ I'm always checking out the glassware, so my education needs to be much, much stronger, as which you just helped to make it...👌🏼
The shot glass with the bell would get me in trouble since I'm not supposed to drink but yes it will be useful for someone . Thanks for the tips Don . The intrinsic value of silver alone is worthwhile .
I'm so happy I found your videos! I have collected items over the years, and I have dabbled in selling items in my collections. I must correct you on one tiny little thing. Regarding the double sided shot glasses, the measurements are not one ounce and two ounces. The small side is indeed one ounce and is called a pony; the large side is a standard 1.5 ounce shot, or jigger. Just a little factoid I picked up years ago. Now I think I will go to my liquor cabinet and pick out a few shot glasses to list. 😉
Well, I must be one of a kind, as I have never had one of these in my house ever. Probably because no one has ever drunk spirits in our house. Some of these glasses look beautiful to look at, little wonder why they go for as much as they go for. Always learn new stuff when watching your videos, and I love the short adverts at the end, I remember watching the Partridge Family, as a kid about 1971, or 1972 I think it came here in the UK with David Cassidy. Thank you so much, Don. Charles in the UK
Awesome thanks for sharing this information. I’m alway on the lookout for shot glasses. I’m gonna look at my collection cause I do have some old ones from places that are no longer in business. Thanks again
I have a silver-plated thimble shotglass; it has to be 100 years old if not older. Not worth a pile, but more than the quarter I paid. The shot glasses I generally find are Souvenir of Transfer Printed Mass Production and not worth my time. Or anyone's.
God these videos are depressing! Here is yet ANOTHER item I have been throwing into Junk Drawer Lots for 10+ years. I thought SHOT GLASSES were glass. It's in the name. So if it wasn't glass it wasn't collectable. What we get in the UK are Continental Ornamented Pewter shot glasses. At least now I know they are shot glasses. Before watching this video I had no idea what they were so I searched < vintage pewter souvenir > didn't see any exciting results and slung them. . Now that I know they are vintage pewter shot glasses I discover they were all worth £30-£50. Thanks Professor. Make my day why doncha? .

I could sit for days weeks or months and just absorb the knowledge of the professor. Knowledge is my drug and I'm addicted.
I have some old shot glasses packed away somewhere from my parents estate (died in their 90s in 2003)
Thank you for that info!
Excellent! I never even considered shot glasses!
Thank you for sharing this info.
Thank you so much for this information.
Thank you so much in general I knew there was some value but I appreciate you breaking it down and showing the different kinds.
Do you polish the silver?
Thanks, Professor!
Trader Vic's are red and green for Port and Starboard. The Yellow ones are from different companies.
Thank you!

Do you leave the tarnish on them, or polish them up before selling?
Down the hatch!
Jigger is a Old name for a Shot aKa Jigger of Wiskey. Interesting to know there's a shot glass with same name.
