Thank you for this video because I’ve been thinking about removing all the back seats and didn’t think they could be removed. I have a question though, my sunroof all of a sudden won’t open up. When I push the button, the window tries to move but then stops. I wonder if you had any problems with yours? My dogs love to stick out their heads from the sunroof and now they miss putting their hands out
I am thinking about it. It would give me more space to be creative with the build out. Just have’t worked out the ideas for it. Right now the deck works good for a base for my fridge slide out.
I'd consider this but not without the option of ordering the third row seat delete which used to be an option. Buying a third row seat and not using it is wasteful. At least it can be taken out; otherwise, you pay for the seat in mileage penalty even when not using it. It is a shame, years ago automakers were consumer friendly and you could order a vehicle that met your needs from the factory without having to pay extra then have to remove what you pay for.
Great tip! I have been rolling without my third row for camping trips lately too!
It was a lot more space than I thought it would be.
I had our porta poti behind the passenger seat when I had my 2nd row seats removed; glad I saw your video, now I know how to remove our 3rd row!
There is a lot of space with seats removed.
Great idea. You still got room for the dog.
We did not forget Gracie.
If your not using the seat, only makes sense.
Thank you so much Eric's
This video is helpful 👍
Not a hard job at all.
Third row seat is not used in many vehicles, thanks!
I have found a little extra space when camping never hurts.
You are right on!

I have never had a problem with my son roof 🤞.
I’ve been considering this, Why not get rid of that storage box also?

Interesting! They can get you coming and going.
is it possible to remove the rear seat arm rest that holds cups?
I have not looked closely at that. But I believe that the whole backseat moves as a unit it may be pressed in by permanent rivets.
How do you pop the head rest tubes out to remove the uphostery? Thanks!
@@nicehashlogin9858 I haven’t removed the upholstery. I kept the seat all together and removed.
What size is the rachet
Ratchet is a 1/2” drive. Do you mean socket size?
How much did the 3rd row seats weigh?
Didn’t weigh them, but they are heavy and awkward to get out.
What year is this?
2011
Did this give you any better mpg?
It didn’t affect the gas mileage. But that’s probably because I just stuffed more junk in the space of the third row seat. L O L
Excuse me, could you help me put the 3rd row set in rav4 2008?
Sorry, I don’t know anything about that.
