@@ericscamping I've got a scouting trip out there planned but waiting on the weather to cool down a bit to go camp there. We haven't had any significant rain this summer so I expect the roads to be pretty clear. Not sure my 2-wheel drive F-150 could make it all the way to the bridge though. I'll find out how it looks there soon

It was a beautiful drive. The short wheel base of that old Wrangler does make the feel of those roads a lot of fun.

I always set the height of my drone to naturally avoid obstacles. I set it above electrical lines. I always make sure that the part that I’m filming is not going to have a changing path it is significant enough to run it into an obstacle on the sides. I’ve had it malfunction once, but other than that, it’s been pretty good.

There is no opacity in the lenses. They remain clear and bright. I agree. The Honda pilot is underrated. It’s capabilities are quite remarkable in my experience. Because it is not rated well for those activities it always had made me proceeded with a little bit of, tenuous fear of failure. However, it does just fine.

Yes I will lose a little suspension travel in the rear.

I will not upgrade the front to keep that travel.

I bet they are original too. The heavy duty should help with the loading.

I always have mixed feelings about saying where something is at, but I figure one still have to do the work to actually find it and get there. I’m hoping that that in itself will preclude those who do not know how to #leave no trace.

Absolutely my favorite trip. Mountain lakes are awesome and the chain of lakes in that area awesome to explore.

It has slowly evolved and slowly allowed me to get out further.

It really did do well.

Stock rims and stock tire size. With larger tires, you lose torque against the ground. Pilots do not have a low range to compensate for this.

@@ericscamping thinking about getting a 2nd gen facelift. I do like wider tires they don’t need to be huge though I just like a slight poke but seems like it wouldn’t work well for pilot…. 😢. Could I get your opinion? I like your set up though

The Faulken Wildpeaks that I have on my vehicle do have a little wider stance compared to other tires. But they are expensive. I would be very cautious of using wheel spacers to achieve a wider stance. The leverage against the wheel bearings is a hub bearing killer.

@@ericscamping ahhh okay cool cool. I will have to think about it. Not planning to do full off reading and trails but I do go fishing and camping. Currently have a taco lifted on 35’s and now that I think about it. It is kind of overkill lol
