She was recently in a video with Kano and Ebata, and while she revealed that she was wearing Ishida's uniform shirt under her own after this match, it was a little known fact that she started wearing it from the quarter finals. Apparently she didn't like hand washing both of the shirts after the matches, so even though she wasn't supposed to, before this match she sent them out to be washed to Ebata's dismay. Also the reason why Ishida's uniform was worn, but no one wore Kurihara's is because on the day of the opening ceremonies, Ishida heard that her mother was in critical condition (and eventually passed away), and returned to Japan.

この試合もいいですが、何と言っても準々決勝の中国戦が凄かったですね。あれはバレーボール史上最高の試合だと思います。日本は予選リーグから苦戦続きで３勝２敗で辛うじて決勝トーナメントに進みました、そして準々決勝で中国に勝ち、準決でブラジルに負け、３決で韓国に勝って銅メダルを獲得したのです。つまり通算成績は５勝３敗ですから結構勝ったり負けたりしながらのメダル獲得だったんですね。最後まで切れることなく集中して戦った成果だと思います。
