Hi Jimmy! I was thinking to buy this rod, but after your video i changed my mind! I have a travel rod Kyorim K1 - 10lbs 1.87m, Its a wonderful rod. 4 piece rod, 2 tips, one with hollow carbon and one with solid carbon, came with a pvc tube to carry and the guides are Fuji. I highly recommend you try it out, i think you will like it for a light fishing
Glad I was able to save ya a few bucks as this rod is not even worth my time fishing to be quiet honest. I may do it just to see if it blows up as some folks in south east Asia destroyed theirs already lol. I will look into that rod. Thx for the recommendation

Jimmy, I got the same loose rod a week ago and I asked the seller, they told me I should rotate/screw the rod after install to attach each piece tighter, and it worked for me, hope it helps you too.

Also got the VE2...hope the reel is good because the VE1 more like a BFS heavy not for light

My bfs combo is my favourite I only use it in the winter
I use mainly bfs in the winter as well!
It’s the best time to fish for me, not crowded but my last day out I got snaked every single time I found the fish. I couldn’t make a cast without being cast over only 6 others at the pond which is great but all six of them followed me and forced me to leave it when people just won’t do the work them selves

I finally received the L power Centron rod. I haven't fished it yet so I don't know if the sections will come apart or twist. But I did whip the rod around at home and it does stay together. The tip section is the most suspect and looks like it might fall out. I feel the paint and the clear coat gets in the way of the sections fitting tight. So KK shouldn't have painted this rod IMO.
The balance point is 3/4" right in front of the reel. The tip section of the Centron L rod is similar to the Max Steel L tip which as you know is more like an UL tip. With a one hand cast I can make 3/4 of the rod bend. I was hoping the light rod would have more backbone. KK can't seem to get the light power right. They need better people to develop and test their rods and reels before release. So far all of my KK rods' power and action has left me with disappointment. And that's my initial unboxing impression.
I wonder if the UL one are the only ones with the problem. I wouldn't shove down the rods too deep. Tried it and did a few casts and it cracked. Video to come
@@rawrfishing I was planning to use the Centron rod to fish weedless ned rigs. Looks like I'll have to buy a real L power rod. Look forward to the video 😂. Might try using some masking tape to make the joints fit more snug

Is this any better if purchased straight from KastKing, avoiding Amazon and Alliexpress? I prefer knowing ìt is a genuine item.
Those loose ferrules are a deal breaker. I had a nice 9 foot fly rod crack the ferrule because of a slide out doing a long cast.
I don't know if KK sells this in the US. This was from their store on Aliexpress, but was taken down after many others saying theirs broke. I haven't looked on their page for some time now. But I would avoid this rod.

Pieces getting off is a common problem in every multi-piece rods, Fly or BFS. But the connection over the fore grip is too much loose.
I own only a few fly rods, but several multi piece rods. Never had one this loose.

@@fsanfo kkkkkk! Flip cast. Cara as minhas 4 e 3 partes, ação lenta não tem jeito. Uma das partes sempre folga. Quebrei várias assim até perceber que tenho que checar a cada pescaria. É problema crônico de varas de múltiplas partes, até mesmo no fly.
@@fsanfo tô testando a Kestrel elite. E ainda não vi a tal carretilha presa que a turma anda falando. Arremessa demais! Agora o frio exige adaptação. É diferente de tudo que já usei.

That's odd... I should have mentioned it within the video. But don't think I recommend this rod. There are issues with the rod that Many folks are experiencing. Many of them breaking too
I ordered the light power Centron rod. But it's still in transit. That's very disappointing to have an unusable rod that doesn't stay together out of the box. When I receive my rod in a week, I'll report back if my rod has the same problem.
Might just glue mine together. But I am curious about the L rod. The max steel UL L twin tip rod was more like super UL and UL.. So let me know how that one is.
@@rawrfishing There are videos of international youtubers snakehead fishing with frogs. They aren't showing problems with the joints however they have the spinning model. But their hookset is so hard it breaks the rod at the second joint. 😂 Others have landed some good size snakeheads
@@rawrfishing Absolutely, I'll check the power and action of the L power Centron rod once I receive it. Every KK rod I own the power and action is off not what it was rated. The regular bass rods are unbalanced so they feel very heavy in hand and difficult to cast.
@@pacman_17 sounds like a wrong rod for the wrong type of fishing. But exploding rods are not good! Lol

Looks tacky and cheap. Probably my favourite rod from kastking is the max steel. That rod has performed so well here in Australian conditions. I might try this one. Might
yeah.. price should be cheaper as there are plenty of cheaper ali rods that would be more reliable than this. don't try until I blessed it with my crayons!
@@rawrfishing I'll wait for further reviews for sure... another rod that surprised me is the acehawk CU double, that thing feels so nice to fish with. But my go-to is definitely the max steel.

Likely I will as I wont be sending it back. Cost to send back is too much. But it's a shame... No longer a travel rod
@@rawrfishing hmmmm, add some layers with super glue on male join only for make the diameter larger, sanding with sand papper if the diameter is too large, not gluing your travel rod into one piece 🤣

@@rawrfishing that's why I enjoy seeing your videos because you tell the truth if a rod is good or not this rod look nice out I didn't like that when you put it together it's is very loss and it just fly off as you Cast it I would have been nice if it has a more tight snug fit

loose shaky joints on multi piece travel rods are just a failure and disaster waiting to happen .... while youre out on vacation fishing with it..... Kastking better have the factory check on QC
