The standard crimp for .410 is 6 pt. Unfortunately, with the very small dimensions of a .410 hull it is very nearly impossible to get a satisfactory 8 pt. crimp. We strongly recommend going with the 6 pt. in .410 (and 28ga) as it is much easier to form and save you time and frustration. Thanks for your comment!
@@ballisticproductsinc1934 excellent info. Thank you. Just trying to not have to buy every gizmo and gadget out there if ultimately it goes unused in the end
There you are Jonathan! It's nice to see you doing some vids my friend!! Wade
I have a MEC600 .410 3” and I run this without the spring. The spring or a nut. Just the wing nut.
It looks like there is a black one on the ponsness/warren beside it.
How about you tell use the thread size a Pitch?
When loading .410 bore, when wouldca guy benefit from a 6pt crimp? Also when is an 8pt crimp best?

Which is best for loading duck hunting loads the 6 or 8 crimper?
6 point
All of the loading data and major manufacturers us 6 point crimps any time loading #6 and larger shot.
Will this work with a Lee precision II shot shell reloader?
Does it crimp all gauges?
How mec still provides presses with thier garbage crimp starter is beyond me....this thing is a god send for .410 hulls that are new
Would this work on a lee shot shell press?
