This song just came to my mind in a bad moment. I broke with my partner, lost him to his addiction and related issues, the more I tried to help the more he pushed me away. The truth is he never really made an effort to let me in, with his friends or to change his ways. He is too full of cocaine to see reality and something tragic is bound to happen. The song describes my feelings so accurate it hurts. He's still a beautiful person and I love him but I'm not his soul mate, the white dust is his only true love. Lives totally isolated, I'm the only one who has seen what he's really like in the last two years, his family doesn't know and friends don't really care, they've been absent for years, too busy with their lives, they gave up on him long ago. I'm sad this is how he's decided to live and soon die, as if all the love I've given him never existed or mattered. It's not to be, I worry what will become of him and where his actions will lead him now.
You’re a good person for sticking by him. Sometimes there’s only so much you can do, If a person doesn’t want to be helped. For your own sake and health I applaud you for having the strength to step away. Maybe one day he’ll realize what he was doing to himself and the people around him. But it’s not your job to wait around until that happens. And don’t let him tell you “if you couldn’t handle me at my worse” cliche, and know that it’s in vain. no one has to put up with their partners bullshit and no one deserves to live their life in drama and agony. He might think that your decision to leave was a selfish act, but don’t forget that his behavior was the main reason why you decided to finish your chapter with him and move on. It’s as simple as that. You can’t keep waiting for him to decide what he really wants in life. He shouldn’t expect someone to devote all their attention and energy to him when he doesn’t even put the minimal amount of effort into getting better. All the best, focus on you for now. I left the love of my life too. He prefered his toxic friends more who made him a junkie more than good and healthy people. I can not blame him. I feel like he is trapped in a society where he does not belong. His family don't care or see. His friends definitely don't care. And he? Well, let's just say that I haven't see the real person anymore in a vey long time when I look at a picture of him. I look at his eyes. And I don't see him anymore. I guess his feelings are buried so deep, he has forgotten them. For always I will regret my decision to leave. But he did pushed me away too. And I couldn't bare it anymore to see him destroy himself in every way. But I will love him tho from afar while keep going on with my life. Always and Forever. ;-;

She had breast cancer and pasted away in 2011. She loved Tim Burton, especially The Nightmare Before Christmas. Her favorite song from this movie was Sally's song. This literally brought me to tears. Amy Lee was one of her favorite artists. Combining these two of her favorites has made my day. These song is so deeply loved and this version is amazing. Thank you for this. :)

I’ve has a crush or I’m in love with him since 4 years now and he’s my best friend but he’s always busy and I don’t think he’ll notice me or if he likes me. It hurts so much not knowing. The nightmare before Christmas is one of my all time favorite movies. If they re-released it but with metal band's singing the songs especially this version, it might be better than the original.
Well, they made a soundtrack called "Nightmare Revisited", which is the songs since by different bands. Amy Lee's cover of Sally's Song is on it, as well as Korn covering Kidnap the Sandy Claws, and Marilyn Manson covering This is Halloween. :)

The original doesn't have more depth lol, it just sounds more insecure vocally because that's what the character is in the scene and the actress wasn't a professional singer so they made use of that for the character. Amy's version of the song is more longing and melancholic
