I have own this watch for almost a year already and I love it ! I have bought their model 5303 and should be deliver to me next week . I am a collector for almost 20 years and I own all price range of watches from Seiko to Rolex , AP and Patek ! this watch just give me the same level of enjoyment as my other high end watches !
My problem with the very same Serica is... When you come up with a grail piece, you save money, look for an ocassion or put your name on the list and you live your life waiting for that one special watch to finaly find the pleace in your box...I ordered Serica knowing that it's gonna be something but I didn't think about it as a grail. After I got it in my hands, put it on my wrist I knew I have the watch I have been waiting for. I got my grail not buying one. And I started thinking what to sell because with Serica I won't have time to wear all other pieces from my collection. For me it's a great piece. It doesn't have a cons it has a features.
Sure gets allot of wrist time. There are pieces I have that have been neglected because of this watch. Complete agree. Sometime you get a watch and you fall in love, unexpectedly.

Personally I think it's a criminal offense not to wear it on the original Bonklip since the super cool bracelets are so clearly integral to all Serica designs. I am still pretending not to need the watch even though I am irreversibly in love with it and I even have the awesome Bonklip already.

I already know we have a similar taste in watches because we're both big fans of Lorier, so I was not at all surprised to see the exact Dan Henry 1937 chronograph I've been considering on your wrist. I'm looking forward to your review! I do really like the bones of this Serica watch, though I don't love the look of the bracelet because it reminds me of the stretchy bracelets you see on a lot of older watches. It's a shame you can't buy it on a leather strap. Otherwise I'd probably consider it because I like the classier field watch design. The omega-style hour hand is *chef's kiss*.
Hey Aron, a good leather strap is easy to find, the bonklip is not for everyone, I know that. It’s for old people like me 😂😂😂😂. Lorier is amazing and so is this Dan Henry watch. Cheers friend 🍻

Nice Video Leo! I was on the fence with this watch coz I’m very iffy when it comes to manual winding watch!! But this review made me pull that trigger! Loving it!
I've owned one for about 2 years. It's such a fascinating watch. When it first arrived, I was a little disappointed. It felt small, seemed a little understated, but I decided to keep it. 2 years later, it is the only watch I wear. Every time I switch back to a diver or another daily, I go back to this Serica. I don't know exactly how to describe the Commando, other than perfect. And the band is without competition.
With the Serica WWW it is as with the Lorier Neptune. Every time I look at my wrist it conjures me a big grin on my face. You have done a great review again the way I like to watch it.
Best watch i have. Its all a field watch should be. A day date version would be cool in the future, with 200m water resistance would beat out everything in the market.

Perhaps the Falcon 2 to this watch, more of an everyday piece. Falcon 2 is awesome, had one for a week or so, it is smaller tho and for me at least the Serica looks better on nato, straps, leather. Serica has a Swiss manual vs Japanese automatic. Serica feels more special honestly but it’s almost twice the price too.
Love this, but wary of buying one as I know that the diver has had issues with the crown causing the hands to jump when setting the time. Any idea if the field watch has had similar issues?
2 huge issues: how can you have a field watch without lume at every indices? And, if you are going to do a mechanical then it shouldn’t have a screw down crown. Other than that, I really like it.

I'm having a hard time with the screw down crown and the hand-wind only with a minimal power reserve. Is anyone reading this comment that has lived with the watch for awhile and can describe this aspect of the experience with this watch. Sure it's pretty... but isn't that annoying?

No. Never. The is a quite dressy retro-modern sports watch with a distinctly French artistic touch. It is closer to a Cartier Santos than to a Hamilton. Putting it on any generic strap totally ruins its coolness. Just saying.
@@Bonpu I think a generic strap for this watch maintains the focus on the watch itself. Considering the original utility of the piece, it suits it's 'backstory' as well. But, hey...throw it on your plush beaver tail gauche strap...don't care.

I have owned the WMB version for about two and a half years. Outstanding watch. The screw down crown is getting gritty. Have you had this issue?
I have not and my watch was all over the place. I’ve must’ve sent it to 15 watch enthusiasts to enjoy. Crown works as it did new 🙋🏻♂️🍷

This watch looks superb. Unfortunately, the movement inside is fossil. Not even a myota or seiko. So is quite overpriced.
