Hi Phill! Today I received my results for the CAE exam and I got 207 (with 210 and 209 on reading and use of English 😁)! I wanted to thank you for all the recourses that you put out there, your videos and articles helped me a lot during my preparation! Please keep it up, you are awesome 👏
Tomorrow is my exam, today I took the speaking test and I did good in my opinion. This video will help me so much with the other parts. Love from Bolivia
@@teacherphill A small update! I got the result and passed with a good grade. 🥳🥳 Your videos helped a lot and in my previous worst topic I have scored over 200 points and also in other tasks so many points. But not in all 😆🤣 Thank you very much! 😁
Hi Phill, I took my CAE exam 2 weeks ago and I really want to thank you for the help you provide with these useful and enjoyable videos. I passed the exam with a score of 197 (3 points short from an A, sadly), and this is mainly thanks to you and your channel, as well as others that do the same kind of videos as yours. Keep up the good work!!❤❤❤
@@yalvar i just get my mark! I had 177 points in use of english, 153 in reading (i'm not good at it😂👀), 183 in writing and 184 in speaking (i didn't get my listening mark bc i couldn't take this exam that day, so i will have to repeat It in some months (It was because of an error in an audio, so we couldn't do the listening), but i'm pretty i'm going to pass It!
Any advice on how to tackle the exam or what books/resources are better. The vocabulary that came up in the exam was the same as in the resources you used to prepare for the exam? Anything that took you aback?. Thanks for answering and congratulations on your scores.
Thank you so much! In two days I will be presenting my C1 exam. I was not feeling confident because I didnt know what to do to improve my mistakes, but this video definitely helped a lot. Wish me luck!
Oh my god! Thanks so much! I accessed this video later than other viewers, but your tips work extremely well for me! I used to be disheartened by making too many "ridiculous" mistakes in reading parts, but now I improved a lot! Thanks for your video so so much again!
Thanks a lot! your videos have been very helpful. I take the exam in May and to be honest I was very anxious when I first started studying, but after watching your videos I feel much more prepared now.
Well I had c1 mock test yesterday and I think it was a catastrophy. Especially reading 😭 But at least I have c1 speaking according to my examiner thanks to you !
You can always wait and take the official exam later. Practise every day reading and listen to content in English and ask your teacher for help. Over time you will improve and get to the right level. :)
@@teacherphill Highly elated to get reply from you sir. I am going to appear in CAE exam in the month of April 2023. Kindly guide on how to study grammar and vocabulary from the scratch and if possible, please teach grammar as well; it will be very helpful for me and i shall be eternally grateful . Please sir.
Hello! I am about to present the test and I am studying for myself. But there are still some parts that I have so much wrong. Do you offer lessons online??
No, that can change from task to task. You might also get only four or even six short texts so it would be impossible to match them an equal number of times.
I mean as quickly as possible but only so fast that you can still understand the gist of the text. It depends on your personal reading speed and skill.
@@teacherphill thank you, i tried reading the entire text carefully before aswering the question and got 1/6 in 12 minutes. Then, in another text, i just read quickly (about 30 seconds), skipping a lot of words, and got 5/6 in 10 minutes. I hope i can do the same at the exam, which i am going to take in two weeks.

How am i supposed to do all that in just 1 hour and a halff? It's just impossible 😭
Thousands of people have done it before you, so I'm sure you can do it too. :)
Practice a lot, it is possible. You can do it ❤
it’s doable imo, like near easy

Hi Dana, I do offer online lessons. You can send me an email to info@teacherphill.com
I can spend about 40 minutes and I do around 185 points in RUE. Do you think that if I concentrate and use all the time I will be able to reach C2?
That is a question that only you can answer yourself. Do YOU think you can do it?
teacher phil my goat
Haha, thank you very much! :)
In part 8, are there always 2 matching options per paragraph?
No, that can change from task to task. You might also get only four or even six short texts so it would be impossible to match them an equal number of times.
How much time do you mean by saying "quickly read", expecially in the 5th part?
Like 3 minutes?
I mean as quickly as possible but only so fast that you can still understand the gist of the text. It depends on your personal reading speed and skill.

I'm not sure what you mean. What answers would you like to check?
Thank you so much! You taught me in 30 minutes more than a teacher have done in 2 years LMAO
You're welcome. :)
I have my speaking test tomorrow and the next day the rest of the exam 😭
