That is the best hinge design I've seen on a grapple. I may have to copy your design on my set of forks. You know what's going on for sure , but one thing you could add is a pin on extension for when picking up brush. Tho a tractor that shiny you probably wouldn't want to handle loose brush with it.
nice work, but to me the thumb looks to short from cylinder hook up to the point that they curve down, , need to be more matched to the length of the forks. hard to pick up any size log, and hold it well, or even a pile of brush, , but I do have to give you credit for a neat clean build.
This one would be easy to build good enough for bales I think

You should cut some serrations into the thumb. Looks awesome though.
