I love watching these videos I've worn hats since 12th grade, when they weren't in style here in us but now as I get older I see more woman wearing hats...lol i really want to design my own basic hat so i went on amazon and sourced out hoods which I had no idea you could buy them or the other stuff you need to startthis fun hobby, thank you for giving me infomation mikelle newyork mom learning new skills during pandemic change😷 👍👋🕵️♀️
Do you get smaller hoods for childrens hats, or is it one size fits all? Could you make a tall witches hat shape of hood? (Ive seen Ilona make the small Bauxbatons hat from one)
Hi, Hoods come in one size really, occasionally you can find small ones. But they block to the size you want including childrens. With regard to a witches hat, you would struggle to stretch a hood enough to get the height without factory steam moulding.
Came across your videos ... absolutely love it! Love the 40s style half hats! Thank you for sharing your creative talent. 🙂
Sarah you are a genius!!!
I love all of the items you made! I’m so glad I found your channel, I can’t wait to try my hand at hat making.
Thank you, I'm glad it inspires 💗
Beautiful color blue. I love your imagination and doing different styles while experimenting. I would wear these any day! Great craftsmanship. Cheers!
Thank you so much!

Do you ever use old hats to make new ones?
occasionally, but it is not so enjoyable as making from scratch
If you find rabbit fur felt you can take the hat apart and wash it, maybe lure it and it's like new :)
apologies for the fuzzy film for the first 2 thirds!
What did you use to stiffen the hood please ?
I didn't add any stiffener, as it was stiff enough. I just used water to dampen
oh! so sad you cut up your lovely 1970's hat!!!
