I remember Jericho saying at the very end of his WWE documentary dvd (released in 2010) that he's gonna just fade away in the sunset while he's on top instead of staying way too long in the business. Boy, that didn't age well at all. 😂😂😂
Watching Jericho slowly erase his legacy in the last five years has been WILD
Booze doesn’t pay for itself!
@@benjaminperez7328 Your Silvio profile picture makes your comment hilarious 😂😂😂
@@jonathanturbide2232"Leave the cock suckin belt where it is"😂😂😂
Jericho also said he'd never work for anyone but Vince
Even the aew fans have turned on Jericho and chanting "Please retire."
The "Go home Jericho" chant was even more brutal. 😂
Also "fozzy sucks"
How will he pay for his booze?
I never thought I'd see the day the AEW faithful turned on the BloatGod himself, what a glorious moment.
Thanks for the scoop.
Jericho getting the please Retire chants from fans is Glorious. He has officially become The Big Show 😂😂😂
He even has the heel turn-face turn every few months.
I’m surprised TK didn’t make all the fans sign NDAs for their negative reactions towards Jericho
He already made them sign NDAs not to chant CM Punk during the Young Bucks match
As some inside knowledge, Tony did actually have the NDA's ready and intended to personally go around every single audience member by himself, all 10 of them. Cut it short after the first guy said he didn't have a pen, which understandably caused Tony to fear for his life.
a match between a teacher that doesn't teach and a student that will never learn
Perfectly put
Hook could learn, who knows if he can look anything other than a 17 year old edgy high school kid

Sounds like one of those Zen riddles.
That makes sense in AEW land.
“Please Retire” is X-Pac heat
The irony is Jericho just made the AEW Fans "List".
This must have been Brian's favourite match, solely for the crowd😅

So nice for HOOK to put over a young promising new talent.
Jinder to AEW just in time for Hook to WWE 😂
😂😂
Jericho needed the rub
Hook lost the FTW title to Jack Perry and won it back the night Jack told Punk to "cry him a river".
Fantastically totally get overshadowed by Luke Perry's son.
The fact that they don’t even remember that as important as that night ended up being when Hook won it back is hilarious.
well godamn that got overshadowed🤣
Didn’t Joe beat him too, after that Jinder thing?
Thank you.
Ive lived long enough to see Jericho go from beating Austin and Rock in the same night to turning into the real life Randy "The Ram" Robinson. At least people wanted to see Randy.
23 years later I'm still mad they made Jericho the "first" undipusted champion over SC and the Rock 😂 I get they wanted to push the younger wrestler but one of them deserved it more for all they did for WWE during the Attitude Era
Shut up @@SDCBO619
Oh god, I completely forgot about that movie. That's the perfect reference for Jericho right now.
I'd pay to watch Randy before Jericho, currently!
Randy The Ram was loved and respected in his locker room at least and was humble. Chris Jericho is 1980’s Sheik after Detroit died. Refuses to put anything or anyone over, his time has passed him by, his drawing power is diminished and he is just a parody at this point.
The problem with Jericho retiring is that he'll absolutely end up on commentary full time. You just never fully escape from Chris Jericho.
Even when I was watching AEW regularly I couldn't sit through Rampage because I couldn't stand Jericho on commentary
You mean you guys listen to commentary regardless of Jericho or not. It’s unbearable regardless 😂
I'd be ok with it for awhile.
And he'll do what he did last time he was on commentary, find any reason to talk about himself and put himself over instead of calling the match. It's what JBL did when he was first on commentary and he sucked, but he learned and became at least competent. I don't see the same happening with Jericho.
@@DerekScottBlandJBL waxing poetic about King Booker is some of the best commentary work ever.
Lets be honest...the only reinvention that fully worked for Jericho was 2008-2010. Hes been living off that reputation for years when the rest of his stuff are variations of the same character
"Me want title match" Jericho and SRS Jericho were a lot of fun. He also had a good pool of wrestlers to work with at that time too.
Jericho has been trash since the Attitude era
I grew up mostly with that Jericho and I remember him being cool in the ring, but I just don’t remember much of his matches or promos, other than maybe that one interview-like segment. I can’t be too sure tho.
It wasn't even just the only reinvention that worked, it was the only actual reinvention, period. As you pointed out at the end of this comment, all of his other "reinventions" have basically just variants of the same character.
Le Champion/Inner Circle, JAS, Learning Tree, and even The List of Jericho and Painmaker have all just been his normal goofy WCW/Y2J self, but with some new catchphrases and quirks thrown in. The 2008-2010 version is the only time he really ever threw everything out and started from scratch.
Jericho became the wrestler he despised the most: Hulk Hogan. In fact, they even have similar hairstyles.
Have they both worked 400 days in one year?
Is Jericho gonna be the new bassist for Metallica?
what would the "not gonna work for me BROTHER" be for him? now im intrigued
Heat is “we want to see this guy get beat up” not “we don’t want to see this guy wrestle at all”
Print this comment out, frame it and send to Tony Khan to put up on his office wall.
We call the latter 'go away' heat. But yeah, frame it and give it to Tony Khan.
Jericho should have stayed in the wwe and retire go into the HOF and call it a long run rightfully so
Hook should have faced Brian Danielson who IS going to retire soon who would be able to show ..Even mentor Hook and that right there would have created a good storyline ..mail this to Khan Too
Smark
I don’t know what more funny Matt Hardy showing up in TNA or Jericho getting “please retire” chants
I just can't see what either TNA or Matt himself expect to gain from a 50-yo Matt Hardy, now more broken than ever following his AEW run, showing up with his "Broken" gimmick as challenger for TNA's top title after the main-event of their most recent PPV.
But it's indeed a blast seeing where/how Matt ended up after all the fellatio he did to the elite all over social media, while Moxley and Jericho got multi-year guaranteed deals and are both all over Dynamite.
@@THESERIOUSLYSMILE Matt still thinks we're back in the early-mid 2010's, when the Broken gimmick was very popular. He's basically the only person left on Earth that still hasn't gotten the hint that nobody wants to see it anymore (other than TNA management, apparently). He's somehow completely oblivious to how badly Broken Matt flopped in AEW.
AEW dropping it and not touching it again early on should've been a wakeup call, seeing as how AEW's the same company that thinks Orange Cassidy is still the height of comedy and not a one-note, tired, repetitive joke that nobody in their right mind could possibly see humor in anymore.
Good for Hook for putting for an ex-wwe has been Jericho. The kid needs to debut in NXT.
Hook might be small but he doesn't look like an indie talent, WWE needs to get rid of their excessive create a wrestlers from UK like Gallus and Tyler Bates.
@drml8224 Tyler Bate is on the Main Roster
The learning tree? Lol well he does cast a shade over everyone he feuds with
It's over for Chris Jericho, at this point the only ones who don't see it are Jericho, Tony, and Uncle Dave.
I guess the only thing to do for Jericho is making an all star faction with Osprey included to stop the Evil Elite...
(in his mind that'll get him over again)
I don't even think Uncle Dave supports Jericho anymore. Remember Dave cares for the Bucks, Okada, Ospreay, and Omega or BOOO, if you will.
Edit: also Bryan so BOOOB
It's been over for like two years
@@aaronrumph3291 No, Dave still cares about Jericho. He even tried to spin the "Please retire" and "Go home, Jericho" chants as a positive, calling it "great heel heat" instead of what it actually was (go away/"X-Pac" heat).
Jericho can come back to WWE and he will be your hero again.
So many AEW haters here.
Just because Jim hates him, you all follow like mindless sheep. Think for yourself.
The learning trees a poison oak it has no branches and grows straight up !
1. Putting a sanctioned match for an unsanctioned title on a PPV and 2. put the title that is supposed to be for the "outlaw of a promotion" on a 50year old Jericho who is with AEW since day 1.
Booker of the ye- oh, wait. Not anymore.
It's also a fucking ECW title for an angle which whilst good, was seen and known by a very small percentage of fans.
ECW is also owned by WWE making this title even more pathetic

The NDA champion, the BloatGod, the master of the Charley Brown X-mas Tree. The only good thing about this match was the crowd turning on him.
Hey Phil Leotardo is always over
A step up from "NDA" and "Kylie Rae" chants, I guess.
Please retire is a good chant in any situation in life 😂
X-Pac heat needs to be renamed Jericho heat. Just go awayyyy maaaaaan
The juxtaposition between Hooks ‘greenness’ and jerichos GoAway heat was interesting to a degree … best thing I could say about this “match”
Hook is one of the guys AEW should be building around. Jericho seems to be intent on building a wall around Hook in a wine cellar after telling him he has some Amantiado down there.
Damn, fantastic Edgar Allan Poe reference 🤘🏼
Hook is terrible
The "Learning Tree" needs to make like a tree and leave

Big Bill was the latest victim of the Jericho Vortex tonight.
I wonder if this is Hook's way out considering his contract is up this year and he's looking at free agency
It's his way of saying he wants out of AEW and is going to WWE.
Well, Tony does seem like a really spiteful guy, once you are no longer on his friends list.
I bet there is a reason MJF lost the world title following that awful devil storyline, to someone not even involved in the stupid faction, because the faction leader was a guy injured for months to come at that point.
I'm pretty sure MJF, understandably, did not want to sign a new deal with AEW, and that's the reason he got sent out in this manner, rather than protecting him and his status by having him vacate the title, as it would have been absolutely normal considering the injuries he was already known to have.

Jericho taught Hook the most important lesson of all. Never trust Chris Jericho with any part of your career.
Jericho is really trying to copyright a saying that Ernie Ladd made famous decades ago? I hope somebody informs Ernie's family and they put a stop to it. The learning Tree is not Jericho. It is Ernie Ladd.
The cursed rot wooden tree Chris.
This whole feud made absolutely no sense. Why would hook need to learn from Jericho when hook has Taz as his father that could teach him??? This was just dumb on so many levels.

“Please retire”
Meltzer and others: what great heat!
You ever get the feeling AEW stans have trouble accepting rejection?
This is the one I was waiting for from this show
You either retire a Legend or wrestle long enough to see yourself become a parody.
MJF's heel heat was good heat. The fans have been over Jericho since the Kylie Rae stuff emerged and even though Jericho has been waiting for it to pass, it didn't pass but instead manifested into people hating him and not tolerating things they used to ignore/tolerate because of his star power such as his eligibility for an AARP card. He'd probably be able to have another run if he'd just go away for a while but he never does. He used to know that but apparently he's forgotten that in his later years.
Last&Corny stole the vortex from Stern. The “Benji Vortex”
Sammy Guevara, trash
Daniel Garcia, wanted by Danielson to originally be with the BCC. Jericho said no, and where’s his career now?
Hook, had all the potential. Hate to see it go
The Invaders reference at 8:00 had me laughing harder than Brian. It PERFECTLY describes Jericho…
the first 30 seconds of this segment is perfect and one of the funniest clips ever.
It’s getting to the point where the crowd should walk out when Jericho hits the curtain!!
Jericho and The Bucks; competing to see who can rename X-Pac heat.
Deep down this is why I was disappointed Jericho was the first Undisputed Heavyweight Champ lol. dude is a putz
Does the Jericho vortex spin the opposite way in Australia or do i have to call the international drainage commission to find out?

From the FTW title to the WTAF title.
I remember back in 2015 Big Show got hit with "Please retire" from the crowd so he must've got good heat that night
Hook lost the FTW belt to Jack Perry last year. The rematch was at All In, the very same match where Jack Perry uttered the now infamous words, "Real glass. Cry me a river!"
I’ve truly never seen this much “go away heat” Punk after Brawl Out was still more liked by the aew crowd than this lol, the Cody Verse wasn’t this hated either
At this point we're waiting for Jericho to dress like Gandhi
When Jericho was in WWE, he took time off just to keep himself fresh and relevant. In AEW, he won't do that because he thinks he's the centre of attention. Jericho needs to understand, he's not part of the solution, he's part of the problem.
Brian is a fool. 🤣🤣🤣🤣 I’m over here dying.
I've been hard for this 👍
Dynasty: I was waiting for Joan Collins & Linda Hamilton having a "face off" in the ring! :) LOL
This was the highlight of the show for me…seeing Jericho getting shat on by the St Louis crowd was highly entertaining. 😂
Hook has lost to Jungle Boy,I’m pretty sure
Jericho was able to make Swerve’s win all about himself when he posted him speaking at Swerve’s celebration party. Can’t make this stuff up.
I could buy "Fozzy sucks" being a heel heat chant, because trolling him about his band is fair game. But "please retire" or "go away" is definitely directed at the man and not the wrestler. The energy felt more like the crowd already understanding that he's putting himself over on another young guy than it is doing good business together.
The Learning Tree ... A movie that was made in 1970 by the late, great Gordon Parks ... Now that movie has to share its name with Jericho's crazy behind, lol Shocked he didn't take the theme from that movie as well, lol
This what I was waiting on🔥🔥🔥🔥
Why would Jericho go over in this match ? I guess Jericho is still regretting the action Andretti incident so he went over hook in this BS
