The double-bottom panic dip buy is a hot pattern this year.
With this pattern, you want to look at OTCs with multiple green days in a row. Focus on that steady uptrend.
Here’s an example: Gran Tierra Energy Inc. (NYSEAMERICAN: GTE). Check out the video for the chart. This stock had four green days in a row.
These OTC gappers have been a reliable setup this year, and everyone’s scanning for them. But a lot of newer traders don’t know how to trade them. Then they miss the opportunity and get FOMO.
What’s great about that morning panic dip buy, and especially the double-bottom, is you can let the chart set up throughout the day and then look to trade in the afternoon.
You’ll see the stock gap up early, then double-bottom after that pullback. This can indicate if the stock has the potential to go higher…
Now you have clear support from a technical support resistance standpoint.
You’ll see the stock start to base. Now you want to look for that perk in the afternoon, that VWAP break. As with every trade plan, you’ve got to have a stop, and your stop would be that fail of support.
Be sure to tune in to the video to catch Bohen break down a few chart examples, including a failed double-bottom.
You may even want to take screenshots and write down these tickers for further research.

The damn VWAP name for the cat is actually brilliant. Laugh my ass off.
I think I have a decent grasp on morning panics but if they go bad, which they always can, it puts me in a bad mindset for the rest of the day. So for now I'm avoiding them and working on trading mid-morning and beyond. I just use that time to get a feel for the stocks I'll be trading.
Morning does definitely have a LOT going on..... its overwhelming! And with a small account you can only make one or two trades.... I've used those trades in the morning, been wrong, and missed out in the afternoon because of PDT. Very good suggestion to wait until afternoon.

What's the best trading platform for a small account beginner?
Does stocks to trade have a VWAP scanner that finds these 2pm window VWAP breakouts? I know it has a VWAP scanner but does it also screen for volume spikes/momentum? As some stocks can just run horizontal along VWAP I don’t want to be notified of that but ones that are “breaking” through VWAP lol
