I've owned a pair of the regular bibs for over a year and they're great. I have recently tried some premium bibs and I'd say you're getting like 90% of the quality/comfort. I just ordered a set of their navy bibs to add a bit of variety. I also really like their sleeveless base layers, super comfy and breathable. I'm thinking I should also try the summer jersey, but man alive that's see-through. Great video and thanks for getting the word out. Cheers!
I just got my black bib in the mail yesterday. I haven't gotten a chance to ride In it yet but I did try it on. I wear and XL women's in most bibs and these felt really good. I can't wait till my next days off work and give a try on my bike

do you have any experience with the Black Bibs Ultimate ... typical rides for me 40-50 miles, throw in a metric century every now and then .... looking to increase time in the saddle more this year ... the ultimates say the chamois is rated for 8+ hours . Not sure if that is overkill for wanting to do 5-6 hours? Right now that is only a $15 difference between the plus and ultimate ... don't want to feel like wearing a diaper.
I’m wondering the same thing. My finger is hovering over order and I’m trying to decide if I want ultimate or plus. One thing I did like about ultimate is the option for a shorter version. I just haven’t been a fan of the whole ‘to the top of the knee’ look, and it leaves me with some funky tan lines in the summer. I figured if you’ve got quads, you might as well flaunt them. I’d love to hear some ultimate input
@@CMannino I can confirm that the ultimate short inseam is outstanding! Like the reviewer said, the pad is a little thick in the back but it slims out very comfortably towards the front and overall I personally found it a better form factor for longer rides than the Plus. The shorter inseam for me personally is perfect! I am 5 foot 11, muscular build, 200 lbs, I got the extra large. The Black Bibs, short inseam, Ultimate is now my go-to set of bibs!
Thanks just got back into cycling again after a long hiatus and it's been hard to find anything affordable because everything seems to be high end with high end prices.
So here’s the thing:- Several yrs ago I went camping & cycling in The New Forest, UK. A relatively cheap full suspension mountain bike, £550, and normal cheap soccer shorts, trainers and Ts. I over took numerous lycra clad “MAMIL” packs on £2,500+ road bikes on the roads, all wearing £100s in cycling gear. Heck, that stuff is designed to allow you to get speed up, why buy it at all if you’re gonna pootle about like my dad used to with his 3speed Sturmy Archer geared dad bike

While you are paying 65 dollars for high quality cycling gear, I'm here in Brazil trying to find some quality product for less than 200 reais, what today is 36 dollars without the taxes and shipping hahaha... Nice video anyways!
