I discovered this song through RS playing the bass, it's easily one of my new favorite songs lmao Also helped me realize I like shoegaze, and if I decide to play bass IRL outside of rocksmith im gonna be poor as fuck haha
David Burnett No one in particular as far as comparison goes, man. I was just referencing that it is a great song with substance and the music has a spine-chilling quality to it. Those are qualities that I feel are lacking in popular rock music for about the last 15 years or so.
Just got Rocksmith and a Bass today and have spent well over an hour on this song. Which I'd never heard before that. Love it now! I still suck but I've hit some brief "grooves" where I'm locked-in. And it gets better with each playing. Get Rocksmith people it is SO MUCH FUN! Go bass if you have zero previous music playing ability like myself. You catch on quick and it's so f'n satisfying. You wanna keep playing.
Kenny B 2 or 3 months playing electric guitar. pretty damn fun. although i was only using the game as some form of supplement while i actually do theory and stuff
Just got the game today late I know been playing bass on and off for Year's but haven't picked it up in an extremely long time ,first playthrough of the song hit a 60% an hour later 102 % on the master version 😁 just keep playing you're going to get more comfortable and things are going to come easier to you, I'm aiming to 100% the rancid Maxwell murders next
Lyrics: Stay in, stay out Stay in, stay out Tell me what to do If I don't hear from you Stay in, stay out Stay in, stay out I don't wanna know, Where you're gonna go Close my eyes to see My mind torture me Don't wanna see New memory Close my eyes to see My mind torture me Don't wanna see New memory Stay in, stay out Stay in, stay out Tell me what to do If I don't hear from you Stay in, stay out Stay in, stay out I don't wanna know, Where you're gonna go Close my eyes to see My mind torture me Don't wanna see New memory Close my eyes to see My mind torture me Don't wanna see New memory Stay in, stay out Stay in, stay out Stay in, stay out Stay in, stay out Close my eyes to see My mind torture me Don't wanna see New memory Close my eyes to see My mind torture me Don't wanna see New memory Stay in, stay out Stay in, stay out Stay in, stay out Stay in, stay out
Man why did Jaws stop. I first heard of these guys through Rocksmith, as many did. I grew up in Essex and was exposed to a lot of the UK indie scene through these guys. Learned about Swim Deep from these guys, and a year later Swim deep shot a video at my school. Such a shame to see these guys have stopped releasing music, they're a big part of my teenage life.
the first song I properly learned on bass. I struggled changing strings when I first played and was on riff repeater for hours. Now the song is so simple and I'm playing slap all over the place. The guitar part fairly easy too.
+@SharkArts | Editor I'm doing the same. I actually find playing the songs included on Rocksmith 2014 works better for me than going through all of the lessons. I did all the basics, now I'm working on actually honing what I've learned. Gave this song a whirl the other night and actually kind of like it.
cool song. Heard it first on Rocksmith. I will eventually try this on bass, just started learning to play bass, but will play this tune on drums. It should be a lot of fun.
As a new bass player, I highly recommend this song to everyone and anyone learning to play. It’s is smooth and beginner friendly with just enough complexity that you feel so accomplished when you master it. I hope you did eventually get to this and that you found it just as enjoyable as I did
I love playing (learning to anyway) this song on Rocksmith 2014. I never heard it before until recently and it's definitely a song that gets stuck in your head.
Corrupt Jupiter Sir, I can most certainly read, thank you but your snarky comment does not invalidate my point. This man was upvoted several times, and we can now all reasonably come to a consensus that what we are hearing in this Song is, indeed, the best guitar riff ever written. Did YOU get upvotes for your "fact"? I didn't think so. Therefore, we can reasonably assume beyond of a shadow of a doubt that what you are saying is incorrect and untrue, and that what OP has said has some sort of basis in truth and merit. What can I say? Better luck next time, sir. Try to get people to upvote you next time.
Vocal delivery of the 'stay in, stay out' parts reminds me a little of early Oasis. Guitar tone reminds me a bit of The Smiths. Great band, managing to make it all still sound like JAWS
I'd call it indie instead of pop, im a metalhead to and before i listen to metal i used to listen to indie, found this song of Rocksmith2014 as im learning to play the guitar, its a great song
Pop music that's actually has time and effect in making the song rather then payed producers making shitty lyrics about sex drinking and drugs which is called "The Charts"!
Great song! I also found it on Rocksmith 2014. I don't know what genre you would classify it under, but it remind me a lot of the shoegaze/dreampop songs of the 90s: Ride-Leave Them All Behind, Moose-Suzanne, The Stone Roses-I Wanna Be Adored. Love it!
Ironic how there's another song on Rocksmith 2014 with a very similar video using a fisheye lens, "Sore Tummy" by PAWS....very similar band names too, this is spooky
This is really fun to play on Rocksmith 2014 the lead arrangement. Even though the the "lead" arrangement sound more like a rhythm compared to the rhythm arrangement.
2024... STILL LISTENING!
Official song of 2020.
Did it pick up in 2020?
Still playing this song on Rocksmith. Such a vibe.
Much love and respect to everyone.
Be safe ✌🏾
Me too!
Literally the reason I came here
I discovered this song through RS playing the bass, it's easily one of my new favorite songs lmao

Same bro
Stop swearing @@Locusthorde3000
"Close my eyes to see my mind torture me" A lyric I relate to all to much.
Those memories be hitting extra hard when you're trying to sleep
This band is too under rated.
This song could have been played in 1993 and fit right in
Trying to find similar people, who are you referencing
David Burnett I was trying to think who they sound like, and to me they sound alot like early Smashing Pumpkins. Specifically from the album Gish.
David Burnett No one in particular as far as comparison goes, man. I was just referencing that it is a great song with substance and the music has a spine-chilling quality to it. Those are qualities that I feel are lacking in popular rock music for about the last 15 years or so.
I know this is ancient now but if you haven't found them yet, Sunny Day Real Estate is amazing, especially the self titled
@@exxusdrugstore300 one of my fav songs ever is pillars!
a timeless gem of a song floating in the the abyss of time.
Idk why this bring a good feel nostalgia
Love the flow in this song. So lucky to find this in rocksmith.
Rocksmith brought me here and its the first song I'm learning!!
Me as well, just 4 years later.
Ambitious! I trust you've learned it now after 4 years haha.
Just got Rocksmith and a Bass today and have spent well over an hour on this song. Which I'd never heard before that. Love it now! I still suck but I've hit some brief "grooves" where I'm locked-in. Good song. I just rocked this at 100% in Rocksmith :)
I can't believe it only has 500K! This song is too good!!!
a classic song for all my rocksmith brothers
Lyrics:
Stay in, stay out
Stay in, stay out
Tell me what to do
If I don't hear from you
Stay in, stay out
Stay in, stay out
I don't wanna know,
Where you're gonna go
Close my eyes to see
My mind torture me
Don't wanna see
New memory
Close my eyes to see
My mind torture me
Don't wanna see
New memory
Stay in, stay out
Stay in, stay out
Tell me what to do
If I don't hear from you
Stay in, stay out
Stay in, stay out
I don't wanna know,
Where you're gonna go
Close my eyes to see
My mind torture me

Stay in, stay out
Close my eyes to see
My mind torture me
Don't wanna see

Close my eyes to see
My mind torture me
Don't wanna see
New memory
Stay in, stay out
Stay in, stay out
Stay in, stay out
Stay in, stay out

+@SharkArts | Editor Can you name it "the beauty of simplicity"??
+Eduardo Qualipeças oh yeah of course. you don't need complexity for it to sound good.

Thumbs up Rocksmith 2014!!! What an awesome song! I can't feel my fingers after playing this song on my bass like 10 times...
When I think of Rocksmith I think of this song
3:03 I felt with that little plasma ball just sitting in the foreground
I started playing rocksmith 5 years ago and got totally obsessed with this song omg feels so good to have found it again
Still cherishing the memories
Can’t stop vibing to this song with my eyes closed, just let it take me.
Honestly yeah so glad I learned to play this song
Thanks rocksmith 2014 for introducing me to this awesome song.
Beautiful song, goes straight into my chest...
Don't forget to revisit it... 😌
This is the kind of music that needs to be on the radio. I can see this becoming another "don't fear the reaper" for its time.
best young band in ages. Thank f### for talent
But at current time in history, just stay in.
Best guitar riff ever written
Jean_Patraque Wrong. But it's a matter of opinion.
nope
Corrupt Jupiter 6 people upvoted him. he must be correct

So underrated band :( I love this song and band, of course.
When your grandkids ask what 2020 was like.
Zac _ honestly this was my quarantine song
and you slam them in their face with this 2013 BANGER 😎
under rated bass
Has anyone actually heard of JAWS before Rocksmith 2014? I mean I did, I was just wondering if there was anyone else out there..
The F*** is rocksmith ? Lol been here since 2013, love them
JaiCook Rocksmith is a videogame in which you can plug in a guitar (with a special cable) and play along to songs ala guitar hero.
Jordan Mann My friends band supported em. Fucking decent live tbf
Jordan Mann i haven't but I'm glad that since I bought the game I discovered a really awesome band that I now listen to heavily
Tatiana Hansen
Are you a guitarist or bassist?
This song live has another type of energy man, its a constant mosh, what a fucking band.
This song has helped me a lot with my writing.
Thanks guys
Such an awesome song. Currently learning this song, and loving every piece of it.
Thank you Rocksmith!
Vocal delivery of the 'stay in, stay out' parts reminds me a little of early Oasis. Guitar tone reminds me a bit of The Smiths. Great band, managing to make it all still sound like JAWS
I love Jaws, they are my fave alternative band :>
Great tune.. found this after Class of 92 Series 4 Episode 1
About 80% mastery for this song on lead guitar in Rocksmith!
Love this track!

Like so many others, I found these guys on Rocksmith 2014. Too bad they don't get much if any air time down here in Houston, they are goooood!
Song should have billion views in my opinion.
This track is so awesome!
What a tune had it on repeat for a while now
Seriously amazing.
This song is so hypnotising, the video kind of suits it
These played thinktank in newcastle along side royal blood supporting spector, before royal blood made it big, awesome gig !
Yeah I play this on Rocksmith as well. It's really cool, I like the laid back vibe.
If you could get time try Lucid Rivers
Thanks rocksmith , i love stay in
Jepp GREAT SONG!! Thanks for this one JAWS and Rocksmith 2014
I love how low budget this video is. Seriously cool.
It really adds to the whole enchantment I feel from this song.
I absolutely love that band! Why they aren't popular yet?
As a metalhead this is the pop people need to listen to, not all the other useless crap
Agree'd. I listen to all sorts of different music, but classify myself as a metal head.
I'd call it indie instead of pop, im a metalhead to and before i listen to metal i used to listen to indie, found this song of Rocksmith2014 as im learning to play the guitar, its a great song
matthew rigby Yeah should be indie lol the lead seems more like rhythm tho
Pop music that's actually has time and effect in making the song rather then payed producers making shitty lyrics about sex drinking and drugs which is called "The Charts"!
ilostmyhair The rhythm does most of the work in this song.
Saw these guys at The Twang concert in 02 Arena Bimringham (UK)... Great band!
I play this song everyday, I love it!
im in love with this song and i will always be
Sound from heaven

Hey cutie
Love it!

It's like a mix between Oasis and Dinosaur Jr.

Amazing
RIP Rocksmith 2014
It's still playable 👍
Just cant get enoughhhh
This is really fun to play on Rocksmith 2014 the lead arrangement. Even though the the "lead" arrangement sound more like a rhythm compared to the rhythm arrangement.
In deed!
So true. LOVE this song but I am a beginner. I only have 10% mastery.
It is extremely fun to play it on bass as well. I have 95% mastery on it now
Dominic Emerald Keep practicing! You WILL come to find that the progressions flow seemlessly once you wrap your mind around what you need to do
Kulepennstrek True dat. At 100.5% myself, yet I keep coming back to it.
Sounds amazing!😍
Melhor música everrr
saw you guys for the first time at ynot and followed ever since, absolute class, good vibes
Amazing song!!
was watching GiantBomb covering Rocksmith 2014 and they mentioned that one of their fans was related to someone in the band, and here I am now
missed this
discovered this melody with a great tone after playing Rocksmith
Sounds like Cage the Elephant meets Oasis to my ears
sliver of gold they sound exactly like mango lane, a new local band
