- During a relaxed informal afternoon concert, Peter Hayward strings a couple of favourite tunes together on a Yamaha AR-100, exploring the organ, selecting sounds as he goes... and generally has a great time, creating 'live' music as the mood takes him.
For details of Peter's CD recordings, check out his page at : www.organ.co.uk
Thankyou for listening to my music, Keith, and for your kind comment which I really appreciate.
Best wishes from Kathy and myself, in (snowy!!) Sweden.
Owning an AR 100 myself Peter, I had to go back several times and keep re-watching this one. It stops me from losing interest when I get to thinking that I have perhaps gotten tired of it. Then I watch you, and see and hear the wonderful sounds and nuances that you can extract from it, even though you weren't all that familiar with this model at the time. Just another wonderful example of your great talent peter. Cheers,
Ed
Edmund Wootton Thanks Ed. I used to enjoy playing on different models, when I played at festivals. I used the 'new' sounds to inspire me, and to add to MY own enjoyment of the music. I was so lucky, that my hobby was also my job... sure beats "working" for a living :))
All best wishes - Peter :)
Lovely organ tones and fantastic sounds.
Hello George,
Thanks very much for listening, and for your kind comments.
All best wishes - Peter :)
Thank you - great playing :-) Thats classic organ playing , stunning that Yamaha is able to listen like Hammond or other classics like Lowrey :-)
Thank you very much for your friendly message, and for listening to music. Very best wishes from Sweden - Peter :)
HaywardMusic Was this video recorded in the 1990's?
Great playing peter, I love the sounds you produce, magic 😃
Ray Taylor Thanks very much for listening to my music, Ray, and for your friendly comment which I really appreciate. Best wishes - Peter :)
Been watching you for a while on here and hopefully expanding my skills,
if ever visiting Bridlington do drop in, we are friends of Howard B and Michael Carr, we have an AR100 in our guest house they have both played, The Marina, Summerfield rd, you are welcome to have a play and a cup of whatever as are any organ fans.
+Teresa Blackett Thanks for watching my videos, Teresa, and for your kind invitation. Living in Sweden, I do still make it over to the UK for keyboard festivals and the occasional concert tour, so who knows I might well find myself around Bridlington one day, in which case I shall certainly pop in for that cup of tea. Here's wishing you "Happy Music!!" - Peter :)
So can you put your videos on Cartoon Network because they are the best.
Was this video recorded in the 1990's?
John Bernard Hello John, Yes I am pretty sure it was recorded in the early 1990's. This was recorded during an informal afternoon concert at St.Audries Bay organ festival, Somerset UK. Thanks for watching. Best wishes - Peter :)
HaywardMusic You play pretty good on the organ. I play the organ as well and thats the instrement I feel comfortable playing. Although I can play more than one song.
johnbernard17 Hi John, Thanks for listening to my music, and I am happy that you too play the organ... Good luck with your music, and best wishes from us in Sweden - Peter :)
Dose YAMAHA still make the Yamaha AR-100 organ still?
johnbernard17 Hi John, no Yamaha haven't made this model (AR100) for several years now. In fact they don't supply the UK (and the rest of Europe?) with any organ product at all, despite the fact that in Japan they have a very good two manual organ called the "Stagia" which I have played a couple of times, and found very comfortable to play. Pity they don't supply these organs to the UK.
All Best Wishes - Peter :)
