There’s nothing “forgotten” about Creepshow. Every horror enthusiast pays it homage and it literally has a reboot series.
Very true. Horror at it’s 80’s best.
What is forgotten is how to say "Bedelia". It tells me that this narrator never watched the movie.
Lol I was gonna say how was it forgotten when it’s going on it’s third season of the tv show
@@iiqulo The clowns on this channel never watch the movies they talk about. That's why they've made dozens of videos about the same handful of movies and show no signs of stopping any time soon. They have no idea that they're covering the same films over and over.
Pretty sure nobody forgot about how fantastic creepshow is
This movie is definitely not forgotten. When best anthology horrors are mentioned this is always among the top 10
I was gonna say the same thing
I thought that as well. It's pretty memorable!!.
This is one of the most famous 80s horror films. Its like saying that Friday the 13th is forgotten.
I don't think this movie is quite forgotten. It's been on TV too many times and it's a rather beloved cult classic.
Every father's day my daughter calls me and I tell her, "I want my cake!" The creature in the crate still scares her. What a great movie.
That's hilarious!
I wouldn’t call Creepshow “forgotten” . It’s a staple for anyone who loves the genre, I think anyway. This is one of, if not *the*, best horror anthologies ever made.
Leslie Nielsen did such a fantastic work. Its amazing how comedic actors are better than regular or dramatic oriented actors at that very craft
Leslie Nielsen was a serious actor long before he did comedies.
Not sure if it's true or not, but I remember seeing somewhere that he was so good at comedy and staying straight faced because he didn't have a sense of humor and never really found the stuff he did funny.
I've heard that some good serious actors have no personality. They immerse themselves so deeply into the characters they portray, they're more like empty vessels when not playing a part.
The boy in the wrap-around was played by Joe Hill who now writes horror stories like his father Stephen King. Also, there's a few deleted scenes including a scene at the morgue.
What an amazing movie. Every wannabe horror director should watch this.
"Something to Tide you Over" is the best one. People forget that Leslie Neilson used to be a serious actor. His role in "Airplane!" was given to him because he WASN'T considered funny. He was so good at the deadpan delivery though that he became typecasted. Bit of a shame.
Surely, you don't mean typecasted. Anybody that carries a fart noise maker in their pocket for TV interviews, then blames it on a loose duck, is all about The Schtick.
@@potheadmike8510 Never said he didn't embrace it.
@@Bluesit32 - You was supposed to say ...
"Never said he didn't embrace it."
"And don't call me Shirley!"
@@potheadmike8510 Blast! How could I miss that?!
The Crate freaked me out the most. Jumpscare classic
One of the best horror movies for Halloween season 🎃
Absolutely outstanding movie!🤘🏻 the crate was such an outstanding tale!😈👍👍👍👍👍👍
Man Creepshow is just fantastic I love anthology horror films like the first and second creepshow films there phenomenal and of course others like The Twilight zone movie Tales from the Dark side campfire stories Tales from the crypt Trick 'r Treats are just some of the best anthology horror films ever.
Love this crazy movie.
My dad told me at the time of this release it was insane when him and my mom saw it. They said at the time, it wasn't anything like it and every story really was unique. LOL I remember back in the mid-late 90s(I was born in 91) they let me watch this on HBO at night. Along with Slaughterhouse and Texas Chainsaw 3 haha they good taste.
Love this movie and the syndicated series based on the movie!!
Watch this near Halloween every year. I love when the couple comes back as zombies the makeup is so good
Same! EVERY year, I have to see this.
When they get shot, the watery blood was a nice kinda chilling detail!
There is no way this movie is forgotten, horror anthologies all wish they were this good
No ones forgotten Creepshow
Exactly ! ... I swear these narrators don't even watch these movies
I raised my two nephews and they grew up watching lotsa horror with Aunt Jess. One says his favorite movie is Evil Dead 2, the other says his favorite movie is Creepshow. 😊
love this!! FINALLY a complete and interesting explanation about this masterpiece! now i want to watch it again...

An essential homage to the EC Horror comics of the 1950’s.
Which were also a major influence on Romero and King as kids growing up.
I love this film so, so much. It was the first horror film I ever saw. So I've loved it for probably over 30 years. Also a big fan of the sequel, Creepshow 2.
Creepshow 2, though good, was too short. It needed a couple more stories like the first film.
@@johnnyjohn2527 there were originally going to be five stories like the first, but two were dropped. One involved a bowling team that came back from the dead which would have been awesome to watch.
@@rebeccamcdermott9259 I think the other story was to have been "Cat from Hell". It ended up as a segment in Tales from the Darkside: The Movie, another decent anthology.
@@johnnyjohn2527 think you're right there.
DCs „Mandrakk the Dark Monitor“ explained. The vampiric god who feeds on the Essence of the multiverse
This dude really said “muhcabber “ 🤣🤣 macabre. Muh- cob.
Tom Savini is very gifted!
"Just call me Billie... everyone else does."
Creepshow is NOT forgotten. there's three seasons of it on Shudder! Tales from the Crypt is forgotten which was the inspiration for Creepshow.
Best episode: The Crate.
Clicked because I could tell by the thumbnail it was Creepshow and I love Creepshow!
@0:08 It's pronounced "mah-kahb" (like, corn on mah cob) lol✌️😊
Watch this movie when I was a kid when it ran on cable and it was not too gory, but gory enough that a kid would enjoy it.
It's BEDELIA buddy ... Great content but I can tell easily most of these narrators haven't seen these films or used certain common words ( or at least read )
Exactly
Creepshow is not forgotten, each year during halloween its a go to movie
It's a classic!!!!
That simple!!!
Creepshow is the greatest Anthology horror film of all time
I saw this movie when I was little and “a little something to tide you over” is what I remember from it the most.
The alternate ending would have made sense considering he made sure he had control over the whole situation and what else says no control besides prison. Only way that would have been better would be a merging of both endings where the water logged zombies arrive to the beach side prison Richard is at.
MY SUGGESTION IDEA FOR THE STORY TITLED (THE CRATE) TO BE MADE INTO A SERIES:
Now I think it could be great to have the story of (The CRATE) to be used for the series; I can imagine a number of scenarios that might be good to use for each segment of the series, and I imagine the title of of the beginning of the show series, that title is (Return of the Creature from the Crate).
To add I imagine that the Creature itself returns to the surface from the deep end of the water, it was tossed into four weeks later, and I imagine that it goes on a journey at night to find a place to make its home, but I imagine it still remembers the man who tossed him it into the ocean.
In addition I imagine that seven years have gone bye since that day, and the two men who decided to keep the secret about the events had happened, they are both finally happy, along with the fact I imagine both are married now, and that each has kids of their own.
Plus to add I must mention that I imagine the title for the show series is (CREATURE FROM THE CRATE).
I imagine that the former miserable man found his new love a year after his wife was presumed dead, and I imagine that he has a son, and a adopted daughter.
Now I imagine that his friend the Professor by mere luck he discovered a lady who was genuinely interested in him, and I imagine that they have a daughter, and I imagine his friend had made him & his wife both GodParents to his kids.
Now I imagine that three months later mysterious deaths began to slowly happen in the neighborhood that both have their separate families at, and I imagine both friends start figuring out that it might be the Creature from the large Crate.
To add the two guys both assume that maybe the Creature might be looking for them while it is eating people, and I imagine one of the guy’s assume it might be out for revenge for me betraying it after it did me a favor eliminating my horrible wife.
In addition I imagine that this set of events are finally taken care of in the year1987, and I imagine that the kids from each of the friends they have to deal with the three offsprings of the Creature that show up many years later when the kids are each young adults.
Now I imagine that this story could continue by having the grandkids, and great grandkids, great great grandkids of both sets of kids, and to add I imagine each story has the year of that particular era shown.
In addition I imagine that the great great grandkids exists in the current year, I imagine that one of them is a biologist, and I imagine another one of them is a zoologist, and to add I imagine each of the others having amazing minds, and talents all their own.
If you don't mind a little criticism... You only need to say "I imagine" at the beginning of your story.
Think of a backstory, for " Fluffy" too.
I'm curious as to what "Fluffy" is. It's from an Antarctica expedition and it seems to have no legs. Is that from atrophy or was it born that way because it's some sort of an ambush predator and doesn't have to feed again for decades...? Is it some unknown prehistoric monster?
Another thing, I don't see this thing honoring favors. It's all about self-preservation. It doesn't know when it's next meal is coming, so it eats whatever comes within it's grasp like a trapdoor spider. It'd be better if you had it gorge it's self for a short period of time, then go into hibernation for decades. That way the two teachers and their children's children have this terrible, ominous, family secret that they're trying to right.
You should either have it live an indeterminate life span... Hundreds of years... Who knows or it should be hermaphroditic. There's nothing on Earth, in this present day, for it to mate with. In my opinion, this helps to reinforce it's loner, eating machine, savagery.
I thought your story interesting. I hope you don't mind my input.
ABSOLUTE CLASSIC!!!!!!!
CreepShow was the best I loved part 2 also... talk about part 2 as well
The Crate was my favorite segment. Adrianne Barbecue played this role twice. Back To School her character is also a big mouthed wife.
The garbagemen are Marty Schiff, from 'Dawn Of The Dead', and makeup genius/actor Tom Savini.
I absolutely LOVE this movie! It was funny and scary. It's a staple every Halloween. I remember sneaking into this movie at the theater, right after watching John Carpenter's The THING.
I love the creepy song. You just hear lalalalala lalalalala and a spooky piano playing... hitting a low key
I love creepshow it's one of my favorite anthology horror movie's. I haven't seen the show yet but I really wanna watch it. I also liked creepshow 2 just not as much as the first one but I still liked it alot.
Masterpiece
creepshow is as awesome today as it was when my big sis treated me to a night at the movies back in ‘82. in the beginning sequence, the boy’s father doesn’t just scold him for reading comic books. there’s a definitive palm sized bruise on the boys face to show that there’s some child abuse present.
I love Creepshow 1&2! It's one of my favorite horror anthology movies becides Tales From The Crypt, Vault of Horror, The House That Dripped Blood, Dr. Terror's House of Horror, and House of The Dead ( AKA Alien Zone) ( 1978)!!! 💀👻🕯📖🖤
I like the alien plants, because I like the idea for something that turned a once dead place into a lush ecosystem. It will be cool if there was pods that spawned creatures into the alien ecosystem that has formed at the farm. I just came up with an idea for a movie haven’t I
I think you did
I want my cake one of the best line's of movie history
I watched it on HBO a while back
The roaches part scared me.
M'kaber? ...... DUDE... seriously
Glad someone else caught that
"Belidia"? Bedelia.
Meteor sheeeeet (proceeds to coat himself in strange goo.)
‘Forgotten’? _Creepshow_ is a cherished horror classic. It might not be known to the general public in the same way as _Star Wars_ or _Back to the Future_ but it’s _very_ highly regarded among all horror film aficionados.
Damn ! The store is closed today ( It's 5 am anyway but dang, I have to wait till monday or even more as those aren't in stock ? 🤦♀️
Best movie ever.
"Meteor shit!"
Dammit. He pronounced macabre as muh-CAB-ber. It's muh-CAHB. And I have no idea who George Aid Romero is. One minute in and I'm already done. Get a better voiceover guy.
Agreed. He pronounced Bedelia as Belidia. Wtf
Who forgot about creep show??? Not me👀
The monster in the box makes no sense
1 How is it still alive?
2 now that's free what's going to happen
WAIT ! Did you say " MEANWHILE" at ~3: 30 OR "MEATWHILE" because that would be such an Easter Egg !? 🤯
are you going to cover the other creepshow movies?
"Ma-cob"
Yeah, wtf?! First you say 28 days later and now creepshow as being forgotten, under appreciated or whatever. I do not think you guys know what the meaning of these words is…
How about creepshow 2 thanks for the ride lady
Forgotten? Hardly!
Forgotten by whom?
Didn’t even try wit macabre 😂… it’s Muh-kaab…
i love creepshow
Ok , I realised my love for Comics or Novels aren't only what my abusive EX forced on me.....maybe I can trade books....
You couldn't even pronounce "macabre" and you expect me to believe you're some horror authority?
The child with the comic is Stephen King's son
I could almost look past "ma-cabber", but who the fuck is "Belidia"?!
I think fluffy based on yeti.
Forgotten?? Lol I figured this was a poser channel
Aunt BEDELIA!!!
Btw, Jordy wanted to pay off bank debts. Not college debts.
🍷💀🎩
Bee-dee-lia, can people please use the proper pronunciation? If you watched the movie you should of heard it correctly.
WHO is narrating this?! That is NOT how you pronounce macabre.
Mc-cab-er? Really? You make a video where nothing but your voice is done, and you didn't feel the need to actually pronounce right? Google can let you hear the word you know....
Forgotten?? Wtf?? Do you guys even do research on what your about to post? Your channel is going to lose some viewers over this episode.
I’m sorry. As soon as he said “makabber” I clicked off
This is the worst and disrespectful video to the Legend Stephen King and George A. Romero, do more research and watch the movies before posting on them, the way you describe the movie is so out of place, first video I've given a thumbs down 👎
