I used this process today. I had a dull spot in one area. I started with 1000 grit paper and then went through three grits of compound. Worked PERFECTLY.
Andrew in Omaha this is newbie Ed in Lawton again. Do you find the splitter much of a necessity in Bag making? I think the real necessity in Bag making will be a 2 needle post bed sewing machine, unison feed walking foot, for making French seams in Bags.

That was very educational. I'm going to try that on my Cobra splitter. Where did you get the handle to handle to attach to the leather for stropping
