As a huge Alonso fan, Fernando made the best decision and right choice for himself as there's no other teams willing to give him a multi-year contract besides Aston Martin. Going to Red Bull is not worth it considered that they were building around Max for years already and he definitely wont want to play the wingman role there. As for Mercedes, they are struggling and were not much better compared to Aston Martin based on the performances of their cars, also they are more inclined to look onto their future in Kimi Antonelli and thus going to a team that only considered you as a short-term option to make way for their future prospect is just not the worth to gamble either as Alonso would most likely ended up with no seats and forced himself into retirement. With Aston Martin, Alonso is much more comfortable with the team and he deemed his extension potentially a lifetime contract where he can do other stuffs he wants under Aston Martin when he decided to hang up the curtains from his Formula 1 career. Furthermore, they are a team that is building themselves up for the future with the establishments of their new facilities and wind tunnels to be finished by this year. Therefore coming to that season, for the first time, they will be responsible for the whole car such as making the gearbox, suspension and hydraulics in house rather than buying in from Mercedes, also with Honda now being in a much better situation than how they were back then during their short and terrible tenure with Mclaren so there are potentials where pieces to come together to make Aston Martin being a really competitive force on the Formula 1 grid in the future.
I think you’ve nailed it. Fernando now has the opportunity to really make Aston his team and be the driver that starts them on their journey to better things. Plus now he is staying he will definitely get some ambassador role when he retires to get in some extra cash 💰
@@NotApplicableF1 yep abit like a role that Niki Lauda did during his time with Mercedes when he's still alive back then. If Aston Martin somehow manage to nail the 2026 regs, maybe Fernando would want to continue driving for another couple more years if he's still showing and thinks he is still performing at a really high level but we will have to wait and see. However, the conclusion is he has his future secured at Aston martin where the team allows him to do whatever he wants
literally the only things that is holding them back are weird stratetiges like in china and lance stroll
This looks a great grid.
Enough new talent and some more interesting matchups in top teams.
Daniel do be looking alot better with that p4 in sprint Q
Yeah trust Dan to put in his best performance in ages after I drop him 🙄
No. Stop. He doesn't get to have one good performance and we forget everything.
I know he's cute but he can't keep getting away with this.
@@JasonAtlashe’s not bad dude they are humans and it wasnt like a huge gap between Yuki just 3-4 places with yuki i think barely scoring a point or not even that. He had 3 dnfs including last race in which he showed he could compete for the big points. Dani all the way
@@JasonAtlas agreed…as with any driver, he needs to be consistent. Otherwise its time to give someone else a go.
Score points, Quali doesnt mean anything... Yuki is scoring points when it matters. Dan doesnt have the car to defend that p4... and i want to see him on a normal weekend when yuki has the full FP1 2 and 3 to set up the car, before i change my mind on Dan having made a come back.
I can see why Perez would be an amazing choice for Williams. But why do you think that Perez (if RB throws him out) would be happy to join them. From Top 1 team to Top 10.
I’m not sure what other seats would be on offer to him. He isn’t going to Mercedes or Aston, maybe Sauber?
@@NotApplicableF1now why exactly would redbull get rid of him if they win the constructors championship, and he manages to get 2 place in the drivers standings??? The agenda against checo is real
Because Sainz is younger and better than him and if the grid closes up he'll be a liability? Out of the current top 5 teams he's better than Stroll and that's about it. Imagine a tight battle between Ferrari, McLaren, and RBR. You really think he's going to be able to help Max or the team against, Leclerc, Hamilton, Norris, and Piastri?
We need a Formula 1 Infinite Craft pt. 2
Haha I’ll see what I can do
Boy Danny ric if keeps pushing with the updated chassis(touchwood) it's gonna be fun
And really interested to see how my Valteri Bottas one goes
Top work always 🥂
Will be interesting to revisit your predictions later this year!
About the Alpine one i will agree that maybe Ocon will be out of the team into another one and they will keep Gasly. But for the second driver they could also consider Kush Maini if not Jack Doohan because Maini at the moment he is in p5 with 33 points
There is a lot of really solid talents in F2 this year to pick from
@@NotApplicableF1 That's very true, it is hard to choose which one should be in the Alpine team. In another world 2 out of these 3 candidates ( Doohan, Martin and Maini) could be in that team but that's an imaginary world
Great video! I personally think you’ll contend the f1 commentators
Thank you so much Brandon 😄
Although I think yes, Daniel has not performed at the start, I think it is possible that he will grasp that seat for at least another year for him to either go somewhere else or go to the RB. People say that it was more a ‘mental’ thing of the chassis. Now he has a new one, it is possible we can see some better finishes from him.
Considering the 26 season, I think Red Bull needs a VERY strong second driver if Ferrari having Hamilton (and possibly Newey) turns out to be a title contender.
Thinking about it, Zhou would be a good shout for Audi. He is not bad and has massive influence in China i.e. great for Audi marketing
Your a great streamer carry in
Thank you mate
@@NotApplicableF1 when’s the next race
that p4 in the Miami sprint shootout might be the turning point
For Dan I really hope so. But he has a lot to prove if he is going to be in a Red Bull
race quali solidified what we thought so far
@@NotApplicableF1one result won’t change much if anything at all
Unless Martins manages to win the F2 title I think Doohan will have the best chance of an Alpine seat. The all French approach is not looking too good now so I don't see it being a factor, they will want the best driver they can get regardless of flags. And Doohan has a famous name from motorsport which adds to his value. Although this particular name would probably be more suited to Aston Martin once Honda joins them.
That’s a great point. I was 50/50 on martins or Doohan honestly, either would be an interesting choice and fun to see develop
@@NotApplicableF1 I think it's telling that Doohan is getting all the testing milage this year. If Martins was seriously their first choice - and to be fair, there's no question he's quick - the he would getting all of it. Think I'm right in saying Doohan has the most comprehensive testing programme of any junior this year?
More than any other team, they also need to be seen promoting their juniors after the Piastri debacle - next year would be the perfect opportunity to do it.
Martins is undoubtedly fast, but you don't give Doohan the longest car testing program of any reserve or junior driver across the grid this year without thinking he's your guy. If Martins was their number 1 choice, he'd be getting more or all of those miles.
Lance Stroll is such a waste of a seat, especially after the China incident…
He has had more than long enough but him being around has made Aston what it is today
I think if Lance had the pressure where he might be dropped he'd show some level of improvement. But being in the safest seat to me has made him slower. I don't think he was this bad in 2019
Carlos has said multiple times he wants a winning car and having Max there won't stop him. He's definitely signing the Red Bull contract.
praying for our smooth operator 🌶️🌶️
Whoever goes for Alpine feels like the person who gets picked last in PE 🤣 I kind of want Yuki to go to Williams to have a calmer environment before a potential switch to Aston with Honda (I'm still holding on to the wishy washy answer Lance gave Ted on where he'd be next season...)
I also really like the idea of Yuki to Williams but I’m not sure how the teams would get that deal done
Maybe Albon could go to the Vcarb team in 2026 because if there would be a seat empty in Red Bull, because either Perez would leave or Max , Sainz will probably take it. Or maybe even to Mercedes of Russell would leave the team but that's unlikely to happen
I think Albon will commit to Williams for a good few seasons yet. Can’t see him moving away until the regulation change now
So basically the two drivers who are actually floundering and choking in F2 are getting F1 drives next year? And then we complain when we have guys like Stroll, Zhou, Sargent etc on the grid.. the FIA should make a new rule that only those who finish top 3 in F2 can move to F1
The only drivers that have shown they absolutely don't deserve a seat next year are Zhou, KMag, and Stroll. Logan I still know has talent, he was on par with Oscar; one went to Williams one went to McLaren. Logan needs a fair shake, a developable car, team backing, because his issues are confidence issues. Yuki to AMR is the absolute best move they could make because he's establishing himself on that driver hierarchy. Sainz to RB, Danny and Liam at VCARB, Bottas to partner Ollie at Haas. Kimi Antonelli can wait, if he's so generational he can show it in F2. Ocon probably stays at Alpine though wish it were Gasly. Maybe Ocon hits Merc instead to partner Russell. Kimi has talent no doubt, but sacking Logan, shirking rules and filing waivers to get him to Williams isn't the move. Let him EARN his seat through competition not fast track days. I hope Williams stands pat tho.
With the explosion that are the incredibly dangerously fast McLarens and Ferraris, I think Red Bull is going to want someone more than just capable of bringing home points for them for WCC. They’re gonna want someone who can go toe to toe with the Scarletts and Papayas, hold them back, and defend Max if need be. Carlos Sainz is better suited for that than Perez.
If Audi can't get Carlos I think they'll keep Zhou if only for marketing reasons
I get your reasoning for antonelli to merc however my money is on albon.
Watch everyone be wrong though and zhou or someone else random goes to merc lol
I could definitely see Albon making the move but Kimi will end up at Merc sometime soon. A little like Russell it’s going to happen it’s just when
Is it possible Drugovich to replace stroll?
You made this before Riccardo put the Racing Bulls 4th on the grid & 4th in the sprint in Miami. If this keeps up, Checo might be in trouble & Carlos better have a plan "B"
😂😂
Daniel Riccardo looks promising if he keeps performing, i feel some team should give chance to Mick schumacher also... Maybe Williams
Alpine.
Williams busca experiencia y Valtteri Bottas la tiene y Alexander Albon no, aunque no es novato.
My predictions:
Red Bull:
Verstappen
Perez
Ferrari:
Leclerc
Hamilton
Mercedes:
Russell
Bottas(For him to relive his glory days)
Mclaren:
Norris
Piastri
Aston Martin:
Alonso
Sainz(I have faith)
RB:
Tsunoda
Lawson
Haas:
Bearman
Zhou(After Miami, I think Magnussen should be done now)
Alpine:
Ocon
Gasly
Kick Sauber:
Hulkenberg
Vettel
Williams:
Albon
Antonelli
I think williams will get antonelli, mercedes might bump up schumacher for at least a season, unless they can sign sianz or a better driver. Ricciardo might get the boot at VCARB, Yuki will stay at VCARB until 2026. Redbull will stay the same, same with mclaren, and aston martin, and probably alpine. Other then that i havent decided. My list will change most likely in a few races.
You think zhous predominantly Chinese sponsors will give their money to an American team?
How exactly did zhou prove himself
about 18th in the f2 standings and 7th in a ferrari he should have been 4th behind charles !!!
Redbull- Max/ Sainz
Ferrari-Lecerc/ Hamilton
Merc- Russell/ Albon
Mclaren- Norris/ Piastri
Aston- Alonso/ Tsunoda
Alpine- Doohan/ Gasly
Rb- Lawson/ Ricardo
Sauber- Bottas/ Hulkenburg
Haas- Bearman/ Magnusson
Williams Perez/ Antonelli
I'd be happy enough with this. Does Occon get straight dropped?
Albon is with Williams until after '25
Magnusen quitte hass et Albon reste chez William avec le chouchou de toto wolff qui a 17 ans.
Perez chez Mercede
Rd lawson tsunoda
Après ? Bottas sauber je crois pas je vois plus occon....
@@jonharnett7844Contract End dates mean nothing, especially when your engine supplier comes knocking, but dropping lance stroll is wishful thinking
Valterri this is james, we have no Seat in F1 for you next season.
I can’t lie I think Ollie bearman could possibly get signed
I want to see Stroll go, man cant drive a 60mph car under neutralised safety car period. Basically he is worse than normal humans we are more alert driving at 75 to 90 mph on state highways.
Crazy thought, what if Kush Maini has a chance at the second Alpine seat? Of course, I have some bias towards him as he is the current star from India but if you do see F2, He is insane right now. If he keeps up the consistency and challenges for the title throughout 2024. There is a possibility of seeing a return of an F1 Indian driver, someone hopefully with a lot of talent and prospects. Of course, a lot of pieces have to fall in the right place such as victor struggling and Alpine failing to secure other options (the latter has a high chance of happening) but a 2025 or 2026 seat for K.Maini isn't out of realm of possibility
I don't believe that Carlos will have a seat net to Max again and settle for 'second driver'. Max beat him in all races in 2015 and 2016....
Yeah it’s a bit of a shame … what other choices would he have though? Redbull is essentially a no-go because he’s going to be Max’s fallback until Max leaves, and he’s only leaving if the car is slow. So he’s in a rock and a hard place. Mercedes could do well in 2026 but it probably doesn’t look appealing to him because he’d have to weather 2025, and Mercedes is looking an awful lot like Ferrari 2022 now hahahaha. Same with Audi.
Still think best options for him are Redbull > Merc = Audi. Wonder what he does though
I suppose but the other option is a massive gamble on Audi being amazing straight away
Why is sainz an upgrade ? His last year performer's was not that good and this year he has only a couple of good races just like perez did last year.
I really dont understand the way he gets talked about, like he is a verstappen or something .
Red Bull : Verstappen/Sainz
Ferrari : Hamilton/Leclerc
Mercedes : Ocon/Russell
McLaren : Norris/Piastri
Aston Martin : Alonso/Tsunoda
VCARB : Lawson/Ricciardo
Williams : Albon/Antonelli
Kick : Hockenberg/nfc
Alpine : Gasly/nfc
Haas :Bearman/Perez
Why is no one talking about porchaire
He should have probably been in a seat this year so it feels like he has missed his chance
LOL RB will be RIC and LAW. Then, TSU goes to Aston, maybe
Maybe alpine take pourchaire, is sauber doesnt take him
I debated that with the French connection. But he is starting to look outside F1 now and will probably get a good seat in another series
@@NotApplicableF1 yeah but i mean he sueröy rather go zo f1 than indy
Hear me out... Romain Grosjean to RedBull
My 2026 Grid Predictions:
Red Bull Racing-Ford RBPT: Max Verstappen & Alexander Albon
Ferrari: Charles Leclerc & Lewis Hamilton
McLaren-Mercedes: Lando Norris & Oscar Piastri
Aston Martin-Mercedes: Fernando Alonso & Lance Stroll (Pressure from Honda to sign Yuki Tsunoda)
Mercedes: George Russell & Esteban Ocon
Racing Bulls-Ford RBPT: Liam Lawson & Paul Aron
Alpine-Renault: Pierre Gasly & Jack Doohan
Audi: Carlos Sainz & Nico Hulkenberg
Williams-Mercedes: Valtteri Bottas & Kimi Antonelli
Haas-Ferrari: Kevin Magnussen & Oliver Bearman
Andretti-Renault: Colton Herta & Sergio Perez
I suspect developmental drivers like Gabriel Bortoleto, Pepe Marti & Zak O’Sullivan will also be in the frame with reserve driver roles. Formula E star Jake Dennis potentially an Andretti wildcart.
Looks really cool but I cant imagine Albon in a RB again. I think even if he had the chance he wouldn't do it
@@LH_447 Yuki Tsunoda could fill the second Red Bull seat, he’s the only one I couldn’t decide where to place as I doubt he’d go beyond 5 years in the junior team & I don’t think Williams want to become a third Red Bull team.
@@LH_447 Looks like he’s to stay at Williams after all.
Ferrari: Leclerc Hamilton
Mclaren: Norris Piastri
Mercedes: Verstappen Russell
Aston Martin: Alonso Stroll
RB: Lawson Ricciardo
Audi: Hülkenberg Ocon
Haas: Bermann Magnussen
Williams: Albon Antonelli
RedBull: Sainz Tsunoda
Nico winning a championship with audi would a dream redemption arc.
Let me clear one thing. Nobody wants Ocon.
Stfu. Ocon is one of the best drivers right now on the grid. Keep crying hater
Avg Dts fan
Valtteri, its james
Kmag is going to williams. Mark this
No Honda support Yuki will fade slowly
I am sorry but right now Sainz >>>>>>>>>> Lecrec and Hamilton right now
He is absolutely flying so far this season
Red Bull - Verstappen and Sainz
Ferrari- Leclerc and Hamilton
McLaren- Norris and Piastri
Mercedes- Russell and Ocon
Aston Martin- Alonso and Drugovich
Alpine- Gasly and Pourchaire
Williams- Albon and Antonelli
RB - Lawson and Tsunoda
Sauber - Hulkenburg and Bottas
Haas - Magnussen and Bearman
Looks really good but dont think that Lance will leave and that Pourchaire has a chance for f1 especially for Alpine

Never got on
the moment you said daniel gonna et replaced...i stopped watchin...the disrespect to daniel is unreal...
It’s 50/50 at the moment. I think Dan is a great driver but I don’t think he will ever get back to the level he has been at before
He is washed. Get over it.
@@l5e2n9 yes your dad got p4 right?
p4 in a sprint then disappeared in the race. Hes washed get over it.
Why would redbull let go checo? He is 2nd best driver in the world championship and now he is 2nd but better and pushing to get near max to beat him, sad how checo gets hate and is expected to leave. Carlos sad he got sacked but he is to Whiney and although he is good he doesn’t always deliver, Daniel is done he is getting owned by yuki and Daniel should leave to make way for another driver like laweson and stroll needs to leave
THIS IS WHAT THE 20205 DRIVER LINEUP SHOULD BE
RED BULL - Max Verstappen, Carlos Sainz
FERRARI - Charles Leclerc, Lewis Hamilton
MERCEDES - George Russel, Alex Albon
MCLAREN - Lando Norris, Oscar Piastri
ASTON MARTIN - Fernando Alonso, Yuki Tsunoda
WILLIAMS - Logan Sargeant, Kimi Antonelli
SAUBER - Niko Hulkenberg, Valterri Bottas or Daniel Riccardo or Zhou Guanyu
VCARB - Liam Lawson, Ayumu Iwasa
HASS - Oliver Bearman, Valterri Bottas or Daniel Riccardo or Zhou Guanyu
ALPINE - Pierre Gasly, Esteban Ocon
No never ever Ocon to Audi
i think danny will stay because after china and Miami today it looks like it was the chasis
Nah, Perez will retire from F1 is he cant extend his RedBull contract
Ric, Sargeant, Kevin and Stroller OUT
Aston Martin needs second decent driver unfortunately Lance is awful driver not FI material
Ricciardo sacked immediately, Norris /Stroll swap , Yuki to Haas , Sainz to.alpine , Milcruft to Mercedes, Gasly to Audi , Alonso to Moto Gp ,
Ferrari gonna implode in 2025 neither leclerc or hamilton are gonna bow to each other and become the number 2 driver, they going to be fighting amongst themselves never mind fighting anyone else on the track, 2 big racing ego's means trouble on track
Ricciardo sacked immediately,.lets go lance
