Ex-Military Police, combat in Iraq. Really liked the video. Regular citizens need to hear that. Good personal values. Need a lot more like you. Watch your videos all the time. Thank you Sir.
This was a pretty good and informative vid. When I was doing my fellowship in S.Florida. I was newly married and never experienced a hurricane. Then a hurricane hit our area. I was pleasantly surprised in how the neighborhood came together to help one another. We were literally without electricity, phone service, water and other essential infrastructure for 15 days. Most of my neighbors and my wife and I had a decent supply of food water, propane, fuel etc. Since we had a week to prepare. People stocked up. Only regret was we didn't have a generator which would've made things more comfortable. Nonetheless, our immediate neighbors banded together to assist one another. Each person possessed some type of specialty which was applied when necessary. As a physician, I always had a bag of medical supplies and medicines you simply can't get over the counter. We had an engineer on the block who was quite helpful. Each night we could go to someone's house and light up their grill and basically have a block party. But, at the sametime, we would also ensure that our homes were subsequently secure. We looked out for one another's kids. There were people who would come from other sections of the city in an attempt to exploit people. They try to rob peoples residences while everyone were at the BBQ. We figured sticking together, made this inconvenience a bit more tolerable. And we let outsiders know that they couldn't come in our neighborhood and try to intimidate us. Sure law enforcement was still operational. However, they (police officers) had their hands full with other pressing matters. What I learned from this, is that people can be terrible to one another and paradoxically be extremely kind and compassionate to one another. The hurricane was truly bad, but the aftermath was a lot worse. You don't realize how nice it is to have hot water, electricity and other comforts we take for granted. Until you lose these services and infrastructure that makes our lives more convenient. After this storm and things settled down and clean up was well under way. I went to Home Depot to purchase a decent generator. And though it was expensive. It paid for itself 2.5 years later, when another (and worse) hurricane hit our area again. We lost all essential services for 20 days. And it nice being able to have hot water, lights on inside the house. The generator wasn't powerful enough to provide AC in the house. And if we had to use the washing machine then the refrigerator had to be turn off for a spell. And of course we let some neighbors who didn't have a generator use our showers to bathe and do their laundry. However, you felt you were on the cusp of civility and society could break down at any moment. We all got thru this hurricane too. And was nice a neighbor lent me his chain saw, so I could chop up some huge queen palm trees that came down in my yard. And then after this storm, I went and bought a decent chain saw. Never had to use it for a hurricane, since my fellowship came to an end. And I was offered a staff and teaching position at Vanderbilt University Hospital. Where I taught young doctors how to become gastro intestinal surgeons. Now I just live in an area where tornadoes occur. First time I heard the warning sirens for a tornado,,,,man I was never so scared. I feel somewhat secure that the basement in our house we had a section created for such a storm. Thankfully never had to experience a tornado yet. And confident if I did have to endure a storm of such magnitude. That my wife, kids and myself would be safe and we have good caring neighbors whom I believe would be there for one another. Sorry for this lengthy comment. But, the video does it home in manner of speaking. I think people in general of good moral character would be there to help the less fortunate. That being said, they were be the people out their lurking. To exploit others misfortunes and take advantage of them. We just have to be aware and have the ability to judge others with the ability to be fair too. You can trust, just verify and be apprehensive when meeting up with strangers. Bless You ALL.
First off I want to say thank you. Thank you for the time you take out of your life to make these videos, and the effort you put into them. Thank you for continuing to do so even though so many people put you, and your ideas down. No one else makes videos like this, they are invaluable. IF WROL happens, you can expect many sheepdogs to uphold the good in this world. I don't normally post at all, but, you of all people deserve my time to put this out there. Keep it up.
WORL: Learn to fish, hunt, go against the hoards of clueless people, and adapt when needed. Always be ready to move, always have an escape plan. Come to think of it, that advice goes for everyday life, regardless of what you are doing.
^Wrong. You always have an escape plan, even in business. The escape plan can be setting up someone else to cover the gap, or to change strategy in a forever changing world.
Absolutely. You must always be prepared to drop EVERYTHING you own at a moments notice and bug the fuck out.... even that $2500 Super-rifle you lovingly crafted from boron plated parts, the storeroom full of food, the stack of gold bars... everything. Stay put and defend your home and neighborhood if you can, but.... all that stuff will just weigh you down and get you killed if what you really need to do is LEAVE.
So 'beast' when rule of law goes away, you are just going to go around hunting people? Let me know how that works out for you. 5 semi-intelligent people will ban together and say 'F This guy' and you'll be gone.
Subbed for this video. These are some of the important conversations that we need to have. I hope for everyone's sake that these discussions never become a reality but it's so very critical to keep our values in mind. Great video nutnfancy.
very mature approach, again a new point.. burial, no doing s causing disease. you are a voice of honesty. its nice to see realistic and grounded point of view but it almost makes it feel like the WROL situation is real and threatening. the real level of maturity about the topic makes it feel real where the "zombies" feels like preparation in denial..... I feel like this video removed some blinders..
Dustin Westerman I agree this is a more grounded look at being prepared, and therefore vastly more important. However If "zombies" or "aliens" makes people think about being more prepared i don't think it should be shunned either. To me its like the obnoxious guy at the gun counter who insists his sks is the end all be all of defensive rifles. Sure its annoying and incorrect but at least he's on the right side of the fence.
Dustin Westerman Look at the walking dead, great show but they are having more issues now with their fellow man then the zombies themselves! So I agree with you!
@nutnfancy I'd like to personally thank you for being so open with me and with TNP, with your philosophies and values, sensible thought processes and most of all for getting in front of the camera and being a real person with us, speaking from your heart. I watch a lot of videos, and these are the only ones that really makes me think and makes me feel like i'm part of something that matters, us TNPrs, sheepdogs, LE and military alike, will be the ones to make the stand in WROL.
Thank you my friend. I do approach all my WROL vids with great care, knowing some may run with the information and use it as their guideline. I did not want to do this video but promised it to some guys and it does need to be addressed. The situations are very regrettable and I hope they never happen.
Thank you for the common sense approach! Being a defender of the constitution, if ever we get to a point of WROL, we should work hard to re-establish Rule of Law... Great Video..
I love just about all your videos but the philosophy ones have the greatest impact with me. Those are the videos most likely to influence my thinking and be shared with friends. In many ways, Nutn', you are a mentor for me. Yours is a voice of no-bullshit reason and that is much needed today. Thanks for shedding some light on this much debated but rarely defined subject.
Again I respect you Nut'n for approaching the subject with a bit of trepidation. It shows that you are a person of substance. The taking of life and the manner in which it is approached conversationally speaking deserves the same amount of respect that one would lend to the handling of a weapon ....maybe even more. You have a following and the way you handle the discussion in some cases shapes the thought processes of the masses. You're a good dude.
So much emphasis is put on winning, and being the tough guy, at least in my point of view. The true winner is the person who dies at a ripe old age of natural causes, regardless of how many times you backed down, or avoided a fight. To win in life, is to make wise decisions, that keep you alive.
mag0024 Actually, the people who prey on other people don't like going after the ones who fight back, and they avoid people like me as if we were infected with the plague, that would be the people who prey on the people who prey on people.
***** I don't go looking for trouble either, but when I do stumble across it I don't allow it to continue. Depending on the Situation, I may call the Police, but if someone's life is imminent danger, Mr. Bad Guy is going to find out that there is always a bigger animal.
Sir, you have been given a gift of speech, and I applaud you for gaining such a following that you are able to speak from a position of authority and still stay humble, thoughtful, logical, and practical. I am amazed at the professionalism you display on a daily basis, and the conviction from which you explain your values and philosophy. We truly appreciate the sacrifices you and your family have made to bring the TNP message, and I commend you for the pressing on with the Nutnfancy project.
Hey nutn, this was a great video! I absolutely agree with your philosophy of life. I am very happy that you brought out the bs about the zombie crap, I totally have a problem with the mindset that some of these films and shows are breeding. Great video as usual!
I've been a huge TNP fan and follower for about two years. I've enjoyed watching and learned a lot from all of your videos, but I have to say, this may be my favorite, at least in your non-knife, non-gun categories. Well thought out, well presented and a realistic look at what may happen in a WROL situation and how to best deal with it. Very nicely done!
Another great video. I think you make an important point regarding the possibility of violence in the WROL situation. Many people seem to fantasise that violent confrontation will be inevitable in the event of a natural disaster. Historically apocalyptic disasters have seen humans helping one another and showing great community spirit. People often dedicate an entire room for "emergency firearms and knives" but have no first aid training and little more than a box of plasters at home. Looking at historical disasters suggests we should probably concentrate more on hording first aid gear, water and food. Im not saying dont have guns. Have one or two but making it the focus of preparations is short sighted and shows a worrying personality trait - that some preppers are looking forward to the violence.
Nutnfancy, what a great video. I have so much respect for you as a fellow citizen and man. You are a great example of a responsible citizen. Your videos will make an impact in people's mindset. Even if you don't see it, have faith in it. One plants a seed, another comes along and waters, eventually it grows. Your a little part of that process with your good messages in citizens lives. Keep on keeping on brother. Your not alone.
To quote you: "I won't shoot until I take rounds first". Erring on the side of caution is all good and fine, but waiting until someone shoots at you FIRST is ridiculous!! Dude, c'mon!! Are you afraid of litigation or something here? That type of "advice" will, literally, get a person killed...I've been watching you for years, and I have extremely high esteem and respect for you, but in a WROL situation, where my home's being intruded/invaded upon by undesirables, I AM NOT WAITING TO TAKE ROUNDS FIRST prior to unleashing my weaponry. Gotta disagree with that brother...
I WISH I was a young man!!! So, yeah anyhow, in WROL or NOT, if my homes invaded, I'm absolutely, unequivocally, 100% shooting FIRST, and then we'll ask question later :-)
+Parsecboy I don't think Texaspit is talking about killing a women and child trying to find food and shelter, I think he's talking about shooting first when you *know* rounds coming your way is eminent .
I've spent the last two days watching SEVERAL of your videos, NUTN. I've just recently embraced the ideas, tools, and issues surrounding personal defense using deadly force. I have to say that your logic and values seem to align very closely with my own. I particularly like the way you discuss these very volatile and sensitive subjects, such as your thought process on "unlock codes" for coming to the point of pulling the trigger on a fellow human being. I appreciate your candor and wisdom.
I gotta thank you for this video. Most videos I see on here people make WROL seem like some full blown war in the streets call of duty style. It's a lot of fear mongering on here and it's needs to stop.
Nutnfancy, I truly admire your courage and effort in making these videos. I may not always agree with you 100% (lately, anyway) but I know you have inspired and educated many people to the greater good that humanity is capable of and saved lives in the process. May God bless you and your family in the tribulations to come.
WROL engagement rules for ME : Vocal warning at 100 meters, warning shot at 75 and fire for effect at 50 meters. But always take into account the target hostile intent.
Thankyou nutnfancy, your video speaks nothing but truth. I think there are a lot of people who prepare for a fantasy WROL situation, and, by doing so, de-humanize their fellow man. You have to have a concrete set of moral guidelines in both a with or without ROL situations that dictates, not only your actions, but your thoughts and intentions too... and it's nice to see that someone else understands this. Rock-on Nutn!
Talk to your neighbors! Get to know them. You need to start building your community. Guns and gear are great but who is living next to you? Prepare as much as possible but be ready to share. Semper Fi!
This x 100. All these innawood types are in for a rude awakening. People survive wrol/shtf situations by having and working with good people next to them. Go it alone is a terrible idea
Joe Schmoe Its amazing to me how little people know each other. Know your neighbor. Maybe he or she can help you with comms, medical, agronomy, self defense, or general military know how. Most folks love talking about their hobby or profession. Don't forget that the old man who works as a Waly-Mart greeter may have once been a tiger in Vietnam! Semper Fi!
Jose Vazquez Exactly. We as a society have drifted further apart from each other because we keep giving away our power to centralized authority instead of keeping it local. Get out and get to know your neighbors. Go knock on their door just to say hello. Because, when the SHTF, you will need as many friends with as many resources as you can muster.
Thank you so much for making this video Nutn. I've followed your videos for years, first drawing me in with knife reviews but slowly developing a passion for all things dangerous. I think it is very commendable that the same role model that taught me the sheep dog concept alongside these tools also speak to the serious matter of hypothetically using them. Nutn, your videos contain life lessons and philosophies that transcend "tactical". Thank you for making me a better man.
A good example was during the LA riots Korean shop owners had to defend their shops, homes, and lives with weapons including firearms from looters and rioters and others seeking to do them harm.
Love these type of vids, and I applaud your courage and character for one, being brave enough to say these things, and two, for being delicate and intelligent enough in your delivery. I agree whole-heartedly that far too many people seem to be looking forward to this type of scenario, and sadly, these people tend to have that ridiculous sense of superhero invincibility that has been cultivated in the past 20 to 30 years... Keep up the great work.
Nutnfancy! Thanks for all that you do Sir! I am a retired military member (service non specified) as well as a volunteer Firefighter, and a PAID Medic. I love what you have to offer, and I wish we could teach some of these things in highschool. Unfortunately we cannot... Thanks for being the voice of reason sir!
Great video. You're absolutely correct on ALL points. There's two types of zombies. There's the "Night of the living Dead" kind and there's the "28 Days Later" zombies. I never say anything is impossible but Night of the Living Dead zombies are extremely unlikely. 28 Days Later zombies are more likely because in this case LIVING people were turned into blood thirsty savages by a virus or chemical agent. NOTHING is going to reanimate an already rotting corpse. The most likely SHTF/WROL scenario is from a violent act of nature such as an extremely powerful and massive storm.
but... did you not hear of people on bath salts/pcp running around trying to eat people? what if all cocaine shipped to the US was actually these bath salts and all over the place people started ripping their clothes off and trying to eat people. Look up "Big Lurch"
Akuma X That is actually REALLY scary man. Only question i have, is when they are in the "cannibal" mode, do they still have the ability to use higher thinking or does the drug simply drown all that out?
andrew shepherd it all gets drowned out. remember the guy in LA.. he was running around naked and even after the police shot him he still kept eating that homeless man's face.
Excellent video. You were right on in your approach and discussion of the topics. My town was hit hard by a winter ice storm, we were without power for 9 days. On day 2 our neighborhood came together and we helped each other through. I was the best prepared and shared very discreetly with others. I learned a lot from this very short term situation. I am better prepared because of it. We received no assistance until power came back and even then we were low on the list. Depend on yourself.
I won't have any ROE, it's me or the other person. ROE goes out the window in a situation like that. Also there's no such thing as "god given rights" The rights we have we only have becuase brave men fought for them. And where smart enough to write them into the constitution, otherwise places like Africa and Europe would have the same rights we do. Basic human rights, has nothing to do with a deity.
Outstanding video good sir. It is always refreshing to hear a loud voice for not "hastening the day" as you put it. All to often it seems many would advocate flipping that switch thinking they are ready or will be fine... It is a day I pray never comes. Keep up the good work and God bless you and your family sir.
I'm glad to see you addressing this Nutnfancy. It's a topic that is rarely talked about on the survival forums, except for the inevitable chest thumping. The ability to hang onto one's humanity, when everyone around you is losing theirs...is important. The ability to look back over your life, when it's over...and know that you did your best to minimize any unnecessary taking of a human life, is invaluable. It goes hand in hand with doing one's duty to protect your loved ones with deadly force.
As always, a straight-forward video from Nutn. I always appreciate your zest and appreciation for life itself, and your ongoing documentation on how we need to support each other in these type of situations. WROL is serious, and very well may cross our paths in this lifetime. Better to be prepared and think openly about this possibility than ignore it. Thanks again nutn for the video and your service to our country.
A very sobering look at the reality of a very undesirable situation. It is important to think about the realities of this type of situation prior to encountering one. Best to be prepared and never have be exposed to this, then to encounter a situation, without preparation. I appreciate ALL of your videos!!! Thank you!
right on Nutn. Your philosophy vids are always spot on. Sanctity of life is paramount and a WROL situation is not an invitation to go wild and do things ROL would otherwise hinder you from.
Great video. I'm a concealed carrier, many of my friends have asked for my thoughts on this topic. You sir, nailed it. Low profile, work as a community, and pray you never have to pull the trigger. Sure, we carry every day, but I NEVER want to have to use it.
Love the message NUTN. None of us should be in a hurry for this scenerio to unfold. I am fortunenate to live in a rural area and to have neighbors I can count on but isolation is no guarantee for security. Diplomacy is always our first option but diplomacy with a show of strength. I especially love the way you articulate the goal is to get back to WROL ad not to enjoy your time without it. If you enjoy that you have problems.
You, sir [nutnfancy] are one of the few human beings I respect. Thank you for being a rational, thinking person. Your videos have & always will be a source of inspiration and hope.
Everyone will have to make hard choices and decisions in the unfortunate event of WROL, and hopefully instinct can be trusted to help us on this. But the people like Nutnfancy who train and give much forethought will have better reactionary instincts. I don't train per se, but we plan with food, supplies, etc. and these videos are a great help in providing much assistance with the forethought part. One thing for sure, none of want to hasten the day.
Hi Nutnfancy, Just wanted to thank you for the research, work & time that went into creating all your firearm video collection. Just like the remarks & comments that you post about this video, I find your opinions to be mature & well thought of. It guides people into reaching the right decisions and is especially helpful for the ones who tend to react impulsively or shoot from the hip. Thank you for your advice, it makes a lot of sense, Ciao, L
I think one thing you may not have noticed Nutn iro setting up a "neighbourhood council", as soon as you do that you are starting to create a ROL situation because in years gone by that is exactly how society as we know it was made. Setting this up, whatever you want to call it should be top of the list and it's something I had not thought about a lot. So as ever Nutn, thanks for enlightening me.
Nutnfancy, This is one of the most sensible video's I have seen on WROL/SHTF that I have seen. It just makes sense to use the same value system that God blesses and the same value system you have WITH ROL! Too many have the Rambo mentality and too many think they can do it all by themselves. I did not enjoy this video but then I don't look forward to WROL! I do believe that it is certainly coming!
Thank you Nutn for another great philosophy video and for tackling such a tough subject. You've added another important dimension to the WROL situation that that I've never seen addressed so clearly - Our own HUMANITY. Clearly this deserves much introspection.
Your point about Zombie apocalypse and humanoid targets is SOOOO right on!!! Thanks for reinforcing your point about NOT sensationalizing the notion of WROL.
Thanks for these great videos! Its great to hear someone speaking of WROL in such an optimistic way. Hope and pray for the best, while preparing for the worst. Thank you for your help in my preparations for the future both physically and mentally.
Great job Nutn. I hope WROL never happens, but if it does, we all need to be prepared. Tornado, Hurricane, Earthquake, attack of some other kind, you have a duty to be prepared and be part of the solution not the problem. None of us is as prepared as we might think we are, so I'm going to review all of my preps. Food, Water, energy, protection, everything. Find a way to help and be a good resource to your area.
wow nutn you are one of the few ppl i see eye to eye with on this subject. i dont want this to happen but the day it does i am prepared to stop those who are "unreasonable".
I that my favorite bit of this video was your refusal to tell other people what they should do. Live by your moral code, in all circumstances. I loved it. Also, though I figured I'd get help from people in my area the idea of a neighborhood council is something I hadn't thought of.
Thank you for the consistently logical and compassionate advice in the face of difficult scenarios. It's always a welcome change from those who insight their audiences with false bravado and hysterical rants that only serve to dissuade genuinely concerned viewers from reaching rational conclusions.
Thank you it's about time someone disagrees with this zombie apocalypse. Also it's suppressing to see how many people don't realize community's, states, and countries can't function unless there is some kind of rule or law
@Nutnfancy I think the whole "zombie apocalypse" thing does serve a useful purpose in WROL talk; as a metaphor for "worst possible scenario" -society is gone, not ever coming back, AND the environment is hostile. If you're ready for that, you're ready for anything. It's also useful as a kind of coping mechanism. You're right; these ARE serious, scary things to talk about, and couching it in the metaphor of a zombie movie makes it easier for some people to talk and think about.
The seriousness at which you address the subject of taking human life in potentially lethal situations is appreciated. There seems to be too many ichy trigger fingers when it comes to discussions of WROL. I would like to make a small note. There is a reason our less civilized less governed ancesters were nomadic migrantes. It would see to me the idea of gardening and food storage cannot yield enough in a long term scenerio. Gardens can fail, storages run out; thus a return to primative roots
I loved what you said about zombies. I love zombie shows, movies, comics and games. Even songs (Re:Your Brains by Jonathan Coulton rocks hard) but I agree that people need to be careful to separate fiction from reality. Great video, you handled it well and let's hope we don't have to actually experience widespread WROL in our life time. Better to be over prepared and thought a fool, than under prepared and dead. Great video, Nutn.
Great discussion Nutnfancy. It's a great framework you present on how to deal with WROL and life in general. Plan, plan, plan for the worst, but strive to bring out the best.
Nutinfancy, some good words to think about. I can say that I situations like this has run through my head ever since I moved down from San Francisco Bay Area to the Los Angeles area. Two different histories in regards to handling stressful situations. Needless to say I have increased my emergency preparations to include the strong chance of riots and looters which is something that I have not had to do in the past with LA's strong history unruliness. Stay safe.
Truly EXCELLENT ! Its refreshing to see someone on the net that that is capable of realistic thought! Seems so rare today. Excellent treatment of a difficult subject.
One would like to hope our fellow human beings will carry themselves with the dignity and respect that you obviously do.. And i would just like you to know in some ways your video has helped to restore some of my faith and hope in humanity. For that I would just like to say thank you Nutnfancy.
this is valuable information, most really never get past the preparation part of things, hell I know guys who think that just owning a weapon is more than enough prep, they are wrong of course ,many things to consider in a wrol situation ,you lay out quite a realistic approach ,thank you for that ,maybe this video can open some eyes ,be well
Thank you very much for sharing. Very few people can analyze such delicate hypothetical situation from a realistic point of view, including ethical and moral aspects. May God bless us all. Best regards.
Thanks for a point of view grounded in reality. I really appreciate the philosophy without the idea of lets go run and gun. Dont hasten the day is the best practice do what is necessary to slow or stop WROL from ever happening. And if WROL becomes a reality protect whats yours and do what you can to keep your head down. I really appreciate this video.
I like finally a prepper talking about rules of engagement. The whole mindset that "I'm going to need tons of guns and ammo to kill tons of sobs!" that is weakness. America used to be tough. We used to be strong. There were 2-hour lines to get gas on government coupons and spam in a can. People did not run around shooting each other, no one had money and just like Japan was strong through it's disasters. We were strong. Lets be strong, and armed.
I live by (and teach my kids) "the best form of defense is to not be there" OR if you are there "remove yourself" - get caught up in a demo, protest or even riot - don't do anything physical but join in, chant the same thing - move gradually thru the crowd till your on the edge then get the hell away! Natural Law will always be present (as in do not cause nor cause to be caused Loss, Harm or Damage). Killing should be an absolute last resort, when your or yours are in mortal danger with no escape… Because YOU kill someone, then expect that "someone's" relative or friend WILL be looking to take revenge. Thanks for doing these vids Nutnfancy - i've learned a lot and it's made me think even more. IF(WHEN) it goes belly up - folks will go crazy pretty quick (look at Katrina - we experienced that) 2-3 days without water folks will start dying in hot places - 2 weeks without food most will be barely able to walk. Store shelves will be empty within an hour or so - I learned that from similar weather events.
I think of the Purge movie. And it's scary. I mean this could happen and my view has now changed toward nutnfancy. I just really appreciate it. Thank you.
once again a sane and sincerer discussion from TNP. I have always said in times of great crisis, you get ,Amish not medieval, we pull together no apart.
Excellent video! I know there are plenty of people that really needed to see and here this. And I know someone that believes in the whole zombie apocolypse. People like that do worry me. Having to kill someone is something that shouldn't be taking lightly. Well said Nutn'
Most excellent video, just as I've come to expect from you over the years. I agree whole heartedly with your dread of the possibility that a world WROL might come to pass. My parents are in their 70's, and I have a 3 year old Grand Daughter of my own. It spooks me to think of the affect that a WROL scenario would have on any of them. I do my best to prepare myself and my family for hard times. But for the folks that gleefully think "let it all burn and we'll start over".. You. Have. No. Idea.
I completely agree with your philosophy. I fear that morality will go out the window when people begin suffering or clinging to their lives. I truly hope that WROL never happens and if it does that Ill never have to take a life. But I understand that it is always possible, but I will do my best to deescalate the situation. I want to make sure good people do not get shot, not shoot people.
The what if scenario, WROL- nutnfancy good job. We all need a wake up call, REMINDER on the what if scenario-WROL. Be greatful of what you have and be prepared in case you dont have some of the resources (gas/electricity /911/ etc.) anymore. I thank you for your experience and enjoy your opinions on most topics, keep up the good work.
great guidlines nutn. i look at it the same way. as a 90% or better ccw holder, i feel the simple rules apply. only engage if its a deadly force encounter. thanx for a great vid bro. keep the faith brother.
Thanks for this video, Nut'n. I know you may not have wanted to do it, but I found it very educational. I am a "prepper" of sorts, but having no military or law enforcement experience, it can be tough to envision realistic circumstances and their necessary decision-making processes.
Great video. I think there is some great advice, for everyone who takes this subject lightly. The mind is the most important tool in WROL or any situation. Thanks Nutn.
Great vid. I hope that I will be able to make the right choices for my family in an extreme situation as WROL. Thank you Nutn' for sharing your thoughts.
Nutn.. you hit it on the head. I have been thinking the same way as I make my preps and my "what if" plans.. I love how you make us think deeper into these "what ifs" I think dealing with these questions will be harder many think it will be... "to shot or not to shot??" god bless and thanks Randy in ohio
Another thing to consider is stocking up on less lethal ammo, and other options, for WROL. LTL ammo isn't super useful in ROL because anyone that you're justified in shooting needs to be stopped instantly, but in WROL the lines are blurred--good people will do questionable things when they're starving, and may not need to be killed. A good collapsible baton (even though you can't legally carry them in many localities) would probably be quite useful in a WROL situation.
Well, you've again lived up to your reputation. Good information from someone trying to be good. I share and admire your value system. I hope and pray that the rest of my community holds it as well. I suspect that my family will not survive a long-term WROL situation. I can only hope it doesn't take place until my 5 month old son is several years older. Thanks for upholding a traditional judeo-christian american value system publicly.
The first thing I will do when things go south is turn on the Shortwave radio and attempt to figure the situation out. Maybe I'll be hearing you! Thanks.
I completely agree with you nutin. Have options but be conscious of your decisions. A value system should come standard with the human condition but sadly that is not the case. Keep doing what you do nutin you got a constant viewer/sub here. Thanks for all of your reviews and your philo vids. -Casey
Ex-Military Police, combat in Iraq. Really liked the video. Regular citizens need to hear that. Good personal values. Need a lot more like you.
Watch your videos all the time. Thank you Sir.
Nutnfancy - An honorable man whose fundamental commitment to the Truth is beyond reproach.
You are too school for cool.
Skivvy and go where?
NUTNFANCY FOR PRESIDENT 2020!!
You mean 2016
"Violence is the first option and last choice of the competent."
You are a coward sir.
Please elaborate.
mag0024
Actually, the people who prey on other people don't like going after the ones who fight back, and they avoid people like me as if we were infected with the plague, that would be the people who prey on the people who prey on people.
Just so you know, there are things worth dying for and things worth killing for, if you can't figure out what those are to you, you are a coward.
*****
I don't go looking for trouble either, but when I do stumble across it I don't allow it to continue.
But always take into account the target hostile intent.
hopefully your morals dont get you hurt if it happens man
Thankyou nutnfancy, your video speaks nothing but truth.
People do not understand PTSD until they get it, it is horrible! I have it. My life has changed. I hope to one day get back "to myself!"...
+ReganMarcelis I wish you well brother
Robert Stackhouse
Thank You.
This video is exactly why I subscribe. I understand why you were hesitant to film this, but your thoughtfulness is why it is best that you did.
Outstanding video.
Only question i have, is when they are in the "cannibal" mode, do they still have the ability to use higher thinking or does the drug simply drown all that out?
andrew shepherd it all gets drowned out. remember the guy in LA.. he was running around naked and even after the police shot him he still kept eating that homeless man's face.
i never heard abotu that one..
Thank you!
You sir are wise beyond your years! I been impressed with your attitude form the beginning of the project. Please continue!
right on Nutn.
Hi Nutnfancy,
Just wanted to thank you for the research, work & time that went into creating all your firearm video collection. Just like the remarks & comments that you post about this video, I find your opinions to be mature & well thought of. It guides people into reaching the right decisions and is especially helpful for the ones who tend to react impulsively or shoot from the hip. Thank you for your advice, it makes a lot of sense,
Ciao, L
A valiant and moderate perspective from a gun enthusiast. Well done Nutn. You are a role model for responsible folk everywhere.
Nutnfancy, you are a voice of wisdom, as always. Let's all hope the day never comes when we need to make such decisions.
Thank you for the consistently logical and compassionate advice in the face of difficult scenarios. It's always a welcome change from those who insight their audiences with false bravado and hysterical rants that only serve to dissuade genuinely concerned viewers from reaching rational conclusions.
Prepare for the worst, hope for the best is a rule you should have for WROL. Not just for security, but for living during that situation in general.
Thank you it's about time someone disagrees with this zombie apocalypse. Also it's suppressing to see how many people don't realize community's, states, and countries can't function unless there is some kind of rule or law
26 min. mark. Time for a break. Gotta let it digest. Thanks NutnFancy! These Philosophy videos are what brought me into TNP!
Wise words, peaceful reestablishment of civilization is main objective. We need more logical thinkers like you.
Spot on Nutnfancy. I always enjoy your philosophy videos. Thanks for taking the time to share with us.
Fair enough and you're right. That's one of the points in the video too, same rules apply.
Great video I really enjoyed your honest approach to the subject without resorting to popular media
Great vid, the best vids you do, make you think, look internally at yourself and see what kind of person you are...Thanks for the great work.
For that I would just like to say thank you Nutnfancy.
thank you nutn for everything you do been watching you since 09 maybe 08 can't remember thank you for all the hard work you do..
this is valuable information, most really never get past the preparation part of things, hell I know guys who think that just owning a weapon is more than enough prep, they are wrong of course ,many things to consider in a wrol situation ,you lay out quite a realistic approach ,thank you for that ,maybe this video can open some eyes ,be well
agreed man
Thank you very much for sharing. Very few people can analyze such delicate hypothetical situation from a realistic point of view, including ethical and moral aspects. May God bless us all. Best regards.
Another amazing video nutn, keep them coming! I've always thoroughly enjoyed your philosophy videos-
Thanks for a point of view grounded in reality.
Thank you.
You are the kind of guy that I would like to have as a friend. Well thought out positions. We all need a restoration of values. God bless.
once again a sane and sincerer discussion from TNP.
I totally agree, which is what I expected when I clicked on the video. Great video I appreciate the entire @nutnfancy library of topics.
I waive red on your videos up until this one. You have created a fan, here. I have already forwarded this to all the people in my "community"..
I really appreciate the time and effort you put into this video Nutn. Thank you.
I love how you make us think deeper into these "what ifs"
I think dealing with these questions will be harder many think it will be...
"to shot or not to shot??"
god bless and thanks
