With all due respect and fervent admiration....Paula you are my hero. One day I will hire you to do my place in the city. You are one in a million. Cheers to you and your good work. All the best. C.
Of all the renovations of yours I've watched thus far, this my favourite. It's impressive to me how you can envision walls being removed and rebuilt, which in this case, solved the bathroom access issue. Kudos. I really like the kitchen. The countertop is beautiful. The island with the lockdown wheels is an awesome idea. All in all this one is a remarkable transform in terms of "problem solving." I love it.
I always wondered what Paula’s own home looks like. Probably after all these apartments, bathrooms and kitchens she lives out of s suitcase in a hotel and eats her meals out. Or considering how thin she is, doesn’t eat at all!
Another amazing project. You are so talented. The things you are able to do in such difficult places and with such constraints dealing w HOA board. I wish we could know budgets, just to find out if I can afford you for my kitchen remodel which I have been waiting for years lol. I'm in NYC no board to deal with hint hint🤣 No really you have an amazing gift. Love watching your work.
As beautiful and expensive as these Paula restorations must be, it is quite rare to see her use color of any kind. Rarely even light gray. Certainly no greens, yellows or reds. Many times the floors, new or refurbished, are quite stunning.
It's her clients' taste. But, to be honest, I really think NYC prewar apartments look better when painted light neutrals; it's better in my eyes. Indigo, backs and dark charcoal greys would be accepted, for me. So deep and rich colors yes, but very bright colors would be a no for my taste. However, please take this as a matter of context; it's NYC, not Florida. And honestly, not all places in the world need to have bright colors.
Well, when we do not have enough space, we cannot.. double sinks are much wider.. so.. that's where a 21 - 22 in deep sink makes perfect sense.. especially here.
@L Lawliet. I think you need to rewind and see the kitchen space. I live in Singapore. I know how this is like. Paula .... Google HDB BTO FLATS .... 2 ROOMS, 3 ROOMS, 4 ROOMS, 5 ROOMS AND 3 GENERATION ROOMS. These are the latest types of Singapore government's Housing and Development Boards (HDB). Ours are about the same floor areas. These are smaller floor areas due to our tiny island space with 5.5M residents. From 45m2 - 120m2. The older ones .... are from 63m2 - 200m2.
@@ummiramli6554 Thanks for the tip, this is really interesting, to see how small space living in dense urban areas is done in Singapore. One striking difference from the U.S. is that I see in some flats not a single lamp, but yet an abundance of lighting in the homes. When you have one single usually awful overhead lightbulb in the ceiling, you need many lamps to create enough light and pleasant atmosphere, which requires tables and space to place the lamps. Before you know it, you are overwhelmed with clutter. The lighting in these Singapore places, wow! Even down on the bottom of a paneled wall that hides storage build-ins, it is giving me lots of ideas. Great info Ummi!
@@eBrigid you are most welcome. We make use of whatever space we have plus soon, there will be housings underground to accommodate future generations. Sounds like cooper bedi in Darwin Australia. Only difference, it will be of better design like the current HDB units. Our government is quite crazy in a way that, they want to reach 10M people living in a tiny island which is barely visible in the world map ! You have a nice day Brigid ! Have fun exploring your ideas.
Honestly, you are a magician Paula....That kitchen is terrific
I love watching this lady....her voice is so relaxing. Plus I'm obsessed with remodels.
The cart was so unexpected and gives exactly the right definition between the kitchen and entrance.
Excellent designer
She's so talented!
What an amazing job! The quartz counters are delicious. Xx
Hey Thank you Carol! I love real quartz slabs.. they are gorgeous!! :)
Great renovation.
Thank you Jon!

“Soft close technology, always designed by me..”
*_then slams the door_*
LOL
They will be cursing you for putting the electrical outlets inside that mirrored cabinet in the bathroom.
You did an amazing job with that tiny space.
Thanks Janice!!
I liked the old heat/AC covers better than leaving them exposed.
Paula could you explain that design decision?

Amazing. Excellent taste and work. Basically, the size of where I currently reside.

i love this tiny panel, but it looks quite high and not to code
Are you talking about the phone/intercom? Everything in this is to code..
So everything is white - again.
HaHa.. the owners drive what's final!! 😊
Lo specchio e' orrendo in cucina poco funzionale ... Idea pessima .... Con tutto il rispetto
Your work is amazing

What you did with the hallway/kitchen is genius considering what had to work with. We’re looking to buy in Brooklyn and you have been an inspiration.
Hi there!! thanks!!
I enjoy your gifting! This is my favorite channel! The perfect blend of beauty and function!
😍❤️
What's with single-compartment kitchen sinks? Why don't you put in double-compartment sinks?
Well, when we do not have enough space, we cannot.. double sinks are much wider.. so.. that's where a 21 - 22 in deep sink makes perfect sense.. especially here.

Why lives the americans so old fashioned?
Its an historical landmark. Old fashioned is the point.
Well done.
Che dire poi della cucina accanto alla porta di ingresso ..... Non c'era altro posto? Mah!!!
