Imagine that you are in this audience and hear it in person... We are so happy that we have the opportunity to hear Dimash personally in our lives. This is the voice (other than my family) that I want to hear on my deathbed when I take my last breath."

Of course, Dimash asked Igor for a piece that would include all religions (he’s Muslim and Igor’s Jewish) so everyone could celebrate a song that is claimed by Christians to honor the mother of Jesus, Maria. Thanks for your reaction! ❤️

During the Soviet era (the second half of the 70s), I studied at a very ordinary school. We had a singing teacher who was almost a girl (she had just graduated from the institute). In her lessons, we listened to a lot of vinyl records (some now don't even know what it is) with various music. It was mostly an opera in foreign languages (most often Italian). Of course, we didn't understand a single word of what we heard. And our teacher always told us: "Children, listen not with your ears, not with your head, but with your heart!!!"❤. We didn't understand her then. How is it even possible to do this. Just now (being already at a decent age) I'm starting to realize how right this girl was when she said her phrase!!! In a good song, it is not necessary to understand the words, the main thing is what emotions and associations this song will have deep in you..

Beautiful vocalize by Dimash…as close to heaven as one can get in this life. Glad you are back reacting to Dimash. You have missed a lot! Check out these songs on his YT channel (make sure you enable english subtitles): Ikanaide ( in Japanese), Samaltau (Kazakh), El Amor En Ti (Spanish), Okay (Russian) and Au Fond du Temple Saint (French, duet with Placido Domingo) and his masterpiece Story of One Sky. There are many, many more, each one as incredible as the last ❤

🌞🌈🌍🕺🎤🎶🙏♥️🌷🕊️👏👏👏🤩👍👍✊

Hello Sohum...welcome back to Dimash's music and artistry. Hope to see more of your reactions to our dearest Dimash 🙏🙏🙏
There have been many versions of Ave Maria starting from early 1800s to the one by Dimash composed by Igor Krutoy. The most famous version is the one by Schubert. This one, I believe, is similar to but not exactly (only some chord progressions) to the Caccini version 😍🎼💕
I've heard that when Dimash asked Igor Krutoy to compose this song for him...he wanted a prayer for people of all religions and of no religion. Additionally, he wanted it to be for peoples who spoke any and all languages. So did not want to be bound by any words or lyrics...but rather convey his prayer via sounds and frequencies. What a novel and beautiful idea❣❣❣

hope someone will relay the meaning of the outfit for you; I can't recall exactly. But when this song 1st debuted, Dears said the black and white suit was created with a specific meaning in relation to this piece according to Dimash's desire. The inner knowing level of their talent and skill is so high, being able to come in vocally with those high delicate notes without a wobble with no accompaniment - A cappella, then for Igor to be so steady to touch the keys that lightly and not under press the keys, but just right, they are both truly one with their respective instruments! And that last note really sounds like a man made instrument rather than a human voice, only it IS a human voice and the MOST beautiful of all, Dimash! 💖

Thank you for your wonderful reaction. He can touch so many hearts and souls with his voice if they only allow him to.
Dimash is just great, isn't he? He manages to lift people to heaven with just one vowel. He leaves me speechless every time I hear this song. And I love it when the drums come in. It's so unique. Igor Krutoy composed this version of the Ave Maria at Dimash's request. Did you know that there are more than 100 versions of the Ave Maria? Now there is one more.
Usually, Ave Maria is a prayer to the Holy Virgin Mary. In this case, however, it is a prayer for all people, no matter what religion they belong to.
Besides that Dimash is a Muslim and Igor Kurtoy, who often accompanies him on the piano, is Jewish. That is why this Ave Maria has no lyrics, since it is not only sung for Christians.
He sang this song on the New Wave in Sochi, Russia in 2021. This is an international contest for young performers founded by Igor Krutoy in 2002. Dimash sang here as a guest and was also a member of the jury.
By the way the last note is called messa di voce, according to Wikepedia, a “dynamic singing ornament” on a particularly long sustained note.
It consists of a rise and fall (crescendo, decrescendo) of the vocal volume during the sustained tone, without changing the pitch and other aspects such as intonation and vibrato. In the past, this singing technique in bel canto was often considered the ultimate test of a singer's singing ability.
If you want to hear him sing opera, I'll recommend the new song he uploaded on January 19, 2024.
    ua-cam.com/video/dYmEckJj8sk/v-deo.htmlsi=CuUUfBouZM1T91-3
It's a duet with Plácido Domingo from George Bizet's Opera "The Pearl Fishers". In the opera world he is a legend. He sang together with Luciano Pavarotti and Jose Carreras. I don't know if you've ever heard of „The Three Tenors“. A few days ago Plácido Domingo's had his 83rd birthday. He and Dimash were judges in a talent-show for young classical talents in Budapest, Hungary. And in this show one of his biggest dreams came true with this duet.
    Greetings and love from Germany👋❤️

About this Ave Maria. I recall one reactor asking "Is this a holiday song, or just a good song?" Seems you know even less! 😊 As an Irishman might say, Jesus, Mary and Joseph, do you really not know? 🤣Seriously, I had no clue until recently so I researched it, and here's some stuff I found out about what it really is and isn't all about, mostly according to scholars, and then increasingly a matter of fairly reliable record in the last century or so.
    1) The Angel Gabriel said hi to the Virgin Mary. He wanted to let her know that, btw, she'd be giving birth to the son of God, and it is said the Virgin Mary duly gave birth to the little dude. This song is about both what that sounded like, and what it *was* about, so to speak.
    2) Humans made a fuss about Gabriel and Mary in a piece of "scripture" (stuff written after JC supposedly died). A prayer written in Latin became quite a well know thing among the cognoscenti by around 600 AD. They called it (the Latin for) "Angelic Salutation". But it began with the words "Ave Maria" (Latin for "Hi Mary", er, "Hail Mary").
    3) A particularly virulent generation turned the prayer into a hit popular at places called "Churches" around 1050 AD. Starting around 1100 AD folk started setting the prayer to music so choirs could sing it, and then it went viral.
    4) Around 1500 AD a particular set of lyrics (still in Latin) become a standard Catholic thing. The priests called it "Angelic Salutation" (in Latin) but average folk didn't care what the priests called it. The first two words were still "Ave Maria", so...
    5) In subsequent centuries several world famous tunes were composed to match the Catholic Angelic Salutation. But then in 1825 Schubert wrote and published an absolute banger of a song called "Ellen's Third Song", and they just couldn't compete. That said, "Ellen's Third Song" had absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with the Angelic Salutation, so why am I mentioning it? Well, the first two words were "Ave Maria"...
    6) Some bright sparks decided to combine Schubert's melody with the Latin lyrics of the Catholic prayer and call the result "Ave Maria". People got confused, but they were darn sure they liked the tune. By the 1900s various composers and artists began changing whatever they felt like other than a couple notes from Schubert's song (that was originally about Ellen), and maybe a word or three from the "Angelic Salutation" prayer (that praised the Virgin Mary by commemorating what the Angel Gabriel supposedly announced).
    7) Dimash saw all of this and pondered. What if a Jew (Igor Krutoy) composed a variant of Ave Maria (a Christian song) to be sung by Dimash (a Muslim) in a language that wasn't Latin or English but Angelese, so everyone could understand the original point of it all?

A dear named @christineenright7491wrote this which is spot-on.
Things I found to be important about Dimash:
Parents are well known singers, composers, producers in Kazakhstan.
As a toddler. He showed an interest in music. His family nurtured his talent. From the age of 5 or 6, his education had a major focus on music. Throughout his education he learned music, composition, theory, voice, performance etc. He has a masters working toward a PhD in music. His natural talent was nurtured and encouraged. He understands the mechanics of singing.
Three things are very important to him:
    Country and the Kazakhstan culture
His faith. He is a Muslim.
World Peace. He has participated in various forums and public events in peace and peace has been at the core of many of the songs he has written.
He said that he decided not to become an opera singer because it did not allow for interpretation and innovation. While his neoclassical repertoire is large, he is also a huge fan of Michael Jackson. He has recorded pop songs and has even rapped. His latest music has a jazzy feel. His family is still very much involved in his career.

    More Dimash?:
    1. Official MV for Be With Me. Dimash composed the song and sketched the theme for the lyrics and screenplay. English, but a Kazakh midsection, so switch on captions so you've got them for that bit. Please don't skip it for fear you'll get blocked. You probably will have to fiddle, but it's still worth doing. Please pause frequently and comment (otherwise you'll almost certainly just get blocked. It's worth trying a bit to not get blocked). If you still get blocked, just fuzz or even blank out the video; we'll follow along anyway; most Dears watching reactors know the video by heart.
    2. 2019 New York performance of Give Me Your Love. Dimash composed it and sketched the theme for the lyrics (English). Female dears got _extremely_ hot and bothered about this performance.
    3. Dudarai from 4 months ago. This song goes back more than a century and is a hugely popular song in multiple countries. But he rearranged it to a form it's never been sung in before, to brilliantly enjoyable effect. You'll be surprised about what you'll be surprised about.
