Hey Guys, first one I have listened, found it quite insightful. I think it is a little "undervalued" based on the number of peeps who viewed, but I really found this podcast discussion very insightful. Keep em coming. Scalla and Bobs naturally the regulars, this will go from strength to strength 💪. Thanks gents
So glad Schalky mentioned supporting the SA teams! As a Stormer, I will only support an international team beating another SA team if the Stormers need it for Log position. I went to Loftus to support the Bulls vs Glasgow in the final, and it sucked when they lost! Only to see other South African lads so pleased that the bulls lost. But man, do those fans celebrate when Willie scores a try for the Boks! Support your SA teams man!
The South African defense isn’t about making tackles, it’s about slowing down the opposition, disrupting them, getting in the way. Missed tackles are a consequence of that.
Hey guys, I was a student in Stellenbosch in the nineties and I remember being at a party and a friend of mine pointed at a guy and said, that guy is going to be in the bench for Province this Saturday. Keep an eye on him, his name is Corne Krige...
Hi guys... What is the name of the Rugby Trophy between the Argentine's and South African's ? Because we have the Nelson Mandela Plate between South Africa and Australia and we have The Freedom Cup between All Blacks and Springboks.
@@randomlyfactual1943 eish... thats so sad, coz an opportunity exists to have a proper rivalry between the two nations and it deserves a proper trophy that will have significant weighting and meaning to both nations. Also to bring in more respectability to the clashes these two nations have had and continue to have.
I think the stats are deceiving. Just like the defense. If you look at the stats from the NZ game in Cape Town, every single starting player missed at least 1 tackle and 40% of the bench missed at least 1 tackle. But NZ didn't score a try. When you look at what he defensive line is doing, its super effective but will result in missed tackles. Same thing in the scrum. Risk and Reward.
The host did not introduce the name of the Stormers player next to him. I was interested to know who he is. I just stop watching. Do not assume everyone interested in rugby knows every player on the planet. Bad host.
Probably ball retention, or "winning on own scrums". Most other teams want to get the ball out and spread it to their backline, but we aim to A) win scrum penalties and B) wear the opposition down. So we keep the ball in the scrum for longer, but that also puts you at risk of having a penalty go against you. So while we have more penalties go against us on our own feed than the other teams, we win much, much more scrum penalties on our own feed.
Feedback: - better without the other presenter - Bobo not really feeling the role. Not as good as Shimmy by far. Kinda awkward - better chats - if your content is good you don't need the click bate crap - Corné is just an epic human
Best Episode yet!! Loved this format! Keep it going guys. 🔥
Great seeing Corne! Loved watching him play for the Stormers. Miss those old days!
Do boks have worst scrum? Forget about the stats. As an englishman, I reluctantly have to say, the boks have the best scrum in the world.
Some of the ref calls against the Boks at scrum time were also a bit dodgy, which can skew the stats.
Corné Krige - what a legend !

willie scores tries?
Absolutely true, as a WP fan i also went to Loftus vs Leinster.
Look, I'll support them but if they lose in a final as a WP supporter it's my duty to give them stick about it!
@@dillynlakey6420 Terrible Example 😂
@@wilfredsmith183 Look bud, that's just a rite of passage. 🤣
SA has the best scrum in the world, closely followed by NZ. These two teams are so far ahead of other teams when it comes to scrummaging.

Who is the host? Very knowledgeable and nice guy

Corné the legend 🫡

It's called 'The Son of Bok Cup' since the Bokke have been the Pumas daddy since 1993. 🇿🇦🇦🇷
There currently is no trophies for the NZ/Argentina and SA/Argentina series 😢
@@randomlyfactual1943 Shame.

Enjoyed this. Gcobani, sometimes you just move ahead too fast. Corné had a few good one-liners that had no response. Maybe it is just the editor.

Rassie decide this title for the episode??
What a clickbait 😂😂😂 the scrum has been fairly dominant
This show is way better without the other oke playing presenter ✊🏼
The worst scrum, but by which metric 🤔
To scrum against!

The Lions are bound to win the final by 15+ points. Remember: you read it here first. GO ROOIBONTES! 🏉🏆🍻
