  • Kirsty and Andrew of Terrewah Farm share about building their diverse 100 acre farm in Kangaroo Valley. Growing #organic fruit, vegetables and herbs, pastured poultry, dorper sheep and a small herd of dexter cows. They sell their produce locally, direct to customers through a weekly order system and at the monthly Kangaroo Valley #Farmersmarkets. You can order produce or book into their luxury off-grid farm stay on their website.

As new farmers they turned to Local Land Services NSW for advice, courses and help with soil testing. Information on up coming courses can be found on the LLS website: lls.nsw.gov.au/regions/south-east.
Kirsty and Andrew take their role as land stewards seriously. As large properties are divided into smaller farms, the management of each farm is important to the functioning of the environmental systems as a whole. The Every Bit Counts website has plenty of information about how farmers can be good neighbours and improve the landscape.
