Didn't know about Brady's until a few years ago, thanks to UA-cam. Loving how we in the train community are going checking out different stores so we help get their names out.
As a lover of trains and the designs... this was most informative for me. One realizes , that this is NOT a " poor man's hobby ". I wish I could do all these things and have many of these sets / layouts etc... but... alas... do not have the room, nor the budget. However- that does not deter me, from watching all the available videos. Thank you.
Great video tour of Brady's, Nick!! I absolutely love how they have all the items on the display shelves tagged with the SKU, item descriptions, features, list price and sell price. This has to be the best way, I have ever seen, to tag all the display items.
Stumbled across this video and realized we were here a few months back when in town for a show at the Palace Theatre (Great Theatre BTW). I'm an N-Scale modeler so not too much for me here, but lots of nice stuff for the 0-Scale crowd.
I'm glad I found your site. I knew John and bought many post war F-3"s from him when I lived in Altoona. My buddy Mitch and I used to set up at train shows including York and the hotel pre York meets. I told John that a guy came up to me once and said he wished I would open a retail shop in Altoona so he could hang around, drink coffee and talk about trains. John and I had a chuckle over that but damned if he didn't go do! Congratulations John! You haven't changed a bit.
Great video of Brady's Train Outlet. It has been a while since we have been in the store since he attends lots of train shows! Thank you for the video @PGHTrainFanatic.
Former Yinzer here and I was back home in May and June of last year. My brother and I went there, but we didn't check their schedule first, so they were closed when we went. Oh, well, next time.
Now that is some BIG stuff. I see engines that are half as big as my entire layout. Basically engines out the door start round $400 or $500 and go up from there. Kinda takes new electric trains out of the toys category. 😊
I just viewed the video on Brady’s Trains, great video and I just purchased the C&O orange set from them. I found this due to your video. Thank you very much.
Great job although I liked your past brady’s train videos a bit better because you took your time to video everything. I saw a red steam locomotive but you went right on by. Same with the accessories for some of us it’s difficult to walk thru a train store or swap meet. That’s another reason why I like your full slower walk tru. Thanks for what you do. Always good quality
Wow what a fantastic store! I have seen their custom run Big Boys on U Tube and it looks amazing. Great video. Took your time nice and deliberate. Might have to call about a few items I saw so Thank You! 🙂
Nicely done I really liked the silver plated F3 ANA set it was sharp. Also Brady has an excellent selection of buildings, businesses, houses already constructed and wired for lighting.
Thank you for posting this amazing video! I saw the silver plated F3 set in the video and called the store to buy it bc I couldn’t resist it hahah! I made sure to give you the credit for that sale, as I live in Memphis TN and there was no way I would’ve know about the set if it wasn’t for you!😊
Visited Brady's back in January. Was not disappointed. Great store. Great service. Left with a few items. My wallet didn't like it though. LOL. Might make the trip again next January. It's only a three hour drive. LOL. Thanks Nick for another tour of Brady's!
Haha yeah! It’s very easy to get tied up there leaving with goodies! Glad you made the trip out John and enjoyed this video too. Thanks and nice seeing you at York again! Be well brother!
12:57 *my favorite is that gorgeous Missouri Kansas Texas railroad 411 usra pacific.* I'm a huge mkt fan The real 411 wasn't a usra engine It was an H-3d class pacific built by Lima locomotive works for The Katy railroad in 1923*
Sorry we couldn’t stick around to shoot the breeze with ya on Saturday Nick ! Ole Amber was in a Veterans Day parade so we had to roll with a Big Boy in hand !😂
Nice video, thinking of getting into the hobby. That Wanka train should have the option of Gene Wilders crazy paddle boat rant, as the train goes faster and faster.
There never was a real 4-8-4 Santa Fe 2900 'Blue Goose'. lol. Lionel's really gone nuts in the last 20 years with the 'alternate reality' stuff, haven't they? I guess there never was a C&O 4-12-2 either. ;) Thanks for sharing.
4:16 did not realize how expensive O gauge can be... $1200 for a locomotive! That sounds insane to me. Minus well just buy a live steam G scale train with that price. I guess I'll stick with HO
what does the future of model trains look like ? it seems the next gens and x-ers have moved on from collectable stuff . does the store seem to have lots of foot traffic with little kids ooh and aah- ing
What an awesome shop! Great to see they're still here and doing well since sadly train and hobby shops are a dying breed these days. Do they do repairs/upgrades on Lionel or MTH?
Trains are amazing, unfortunately the prices will bankrupt you if you aren't a rich person. Used to be a hobby for everyone. Now it's only a hobby for the very wealthy.
It doesn't have to be. If dig deep enough (metaphorically speaking), you might be able to buy model trains (albeit secondhand) cheaply, possibly very cheaply.
Do they carry N scale? I'm try to get the bug back after a break-in to my house. They got trains, radios, and cameras. My layout even lost its MRC sound effects. They knew what they were looking for.
this might have been an exciting experiance and learning video if as the producer you would take some of you valued train time to learn some of the basics of video photography. Everybody now a days thinks they are good photography folks only to ruin everything they started out to do. Forget about the selfi stick and getting your picture on every frame and concentrate on better framework of your pictures.
OMG what an amazing train store. I didn't know they existed. This was so cool.
Glad you enjoyed it! Awesome store and friendly people!
Didn't know about Brady's until a few years ago, thanks to UA-cam. Loving how we in the train community are going checking out different stores so we help get their names out.
What a cool store!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The hobo union approves of this video, and will be visiting a layout near you..❤❤❤😊😊😊
Reminds me of Caboose Hobbies and Mizell's Trains in Denver. Both long gone ...
Great store
AMAZINGLY EXPENSIVE TRAINS .
Great video tour of Brady's, Nick!! I absolutely love how they have all the items on the display shelves tagged with the SKU, item descriptions, features, list price and sell price. This has to be the best way, I have ever seen, to tag all the display items.
3:16 and 4:12 *i really love that red Gulf Mobile & Ohio 4-6-2 pacific*

My favorite toy memory was my old American Flyer train set in a figure eight with tressles.
Great video of Brady's Train Outlet. It has been a while since we have been in the store since he attends lots of train shows! Thank you for the video @PGHTrainFanatic.
So many awesome trains - I think I would go broke if I lived anywhere near this shop!
Lol! You and me both! Im close but still enough of a drive that Ii spread out my visits lol

Most model trains have been removed from toys status for a while. Nothing I have purchased in last 10 years is a toy.
New Xbox for $400 versus a locomotive . . . I'll take the locomotive, please!!!!
I watched you video from start to finish, excellent job explaining and filming!👍👍🚂🚞
Thanks for taking us along!

It’s a hobby for Millioner 😂
Great video........
Ordered my Lionel Strasburg #90 from Brady's. Wish i lived closer to visit the store. Looks really nice.
Going to get the CSX Business Train Set.

@@PghTrainFanatic I haven’t even taken her out the box yet lol. Big boy will be the ultimate clearance check on the layout ! I’m scared ! 😂
👍👍👍
Awesome.. 👏😊
Cool store wish I was not 4 plus hours to get there.
Awesome video Nick. Plan to make a Christmas video?
That's the plan! Your some more holiday layouts. Show some of my own trains and I have a layout update coming soon as well!
Definitely want to visit next time I'm in PA!!!
Thanks!!! Great video!!
Nice video, thinking of getting into the hobby. That Wanka train should have the option of Gene Wilders crazy paddle boat rant, as the train goes faster and faster.
Well done
Incredible review Nick, I saw a few things I want lol.

It’s sad that most people can’t afford it!
I wonder if lionel can custom make 5 lighted up slag cars for me

All hobbies are expensive.

SHOULD BE A LAW AGAINST THE PRICE THEY CHARGE FOR THE TRAINS YOU KNOW IT DOESN'T COST THAT MUCH TO MAKE THEM
Do the have MTH Steeler cars?
Is that a train store or a car dealership?
No PRR GG1
Beginning of video seeing the website prices - who has this kind of discretionary income.
Way to expensive for me
😥 Nice commercial.

Wow. One of these days I need to go there. I'll buy the biden train for only 2 cents. Do to the fact that biden has no sense whatsoever
I don’t get it
Amazing 🎉
