long distance casting we all know it's a load of bullshit, but it can be quite impressive to watch. the only time i'd put that much effort into a tight loop is if it's really windy
Bone fish,big river,windy days that is where the double haul gives you the line speed and tight loops to cover the distance or to fight the wind , so in essence it absolutely does matter ....
Excellent right arm control for perfect double hauling technique.And far distance casting
great video folks : )
Peter has one of the best 170’s out there. For those of you that are interested, this is how the loops morph;

Its ok for you guys fishing in a little stream! Try casting 20ft in a large lake and see how many you catch.
I highly doubt you casted 170' with a 5 wt? that's a impossibly !
this is about a morphing or 170 loop..it can be used to cast distance
TimKFishing I just don't get what morphing is !
distance is good but you can catch more fish with 10 /20 ft of line than 100 ft
Maxwell. I'm quite sure he knows that. The exercise here is to shoot maximum line. It has NOTHING to do with catching fish.
yea hes never gonna land one of those grass trout with that much line out

With that logic I guess you could scrub the Olympic long jump event, after all, when would ever jump more than 5 feet?
