I didn't catch their full proposal but I think they implied that kids would only be able to start playing football in 7th or 9th grade. Their argument is twofold. First, the sport is deadly. (17 kids died as a result of football hits in 2015) Second, they want the player to make an educated decision to play as free as possible from the influence of their parents. I love football and freedom of choice so I lean toward this position being on the unreasonable and, more so, impractical side. Yea. I think it will take another year or two to build a defense that we are used to having but they definitely have the foundation with Joseph and Bruce. I still think that WVU should use the 3-3-5 like Casteel used. The Big 12 isnt used to that defense and that always caused confusion when we played teams like Oklahoma and Georgia in the BCS games. So for them to change to a 4-3 when we dont have the front line to effectively run it I thought was stupid.
