Yeah Tata owns Jaguar, but they've done so since 2008. They haven't interfered till now with the classic Bri'ish feel of the brand cause the cars were selling; hell Tata did a far better job than Ford ever did with Jaguar since Ford never managed to turn a profit with the company for the 18 years they owned it. But Big A is totally right in that the plummeting sales is the cause for this rebrand though. In 2023 Jaguar also announced they were gonna move towards becoming an all-electric brand by 2025, afaik they don't produce a single non-electric car now. The British icon would be lost either way. I guess they figured the old messaging simply doesn't make sense for this new Jaguar, which I don't know if I agree with. But I can begin to understand the decision, and they can always switch back if this strategy doesn't land.

I used to do digital advertising for jaguar and Land Rover dealerships and heard about the rebranding coming about a year ago. At the time they said that they are trying to push to compete more against porche and to try and be too end luxury/sport and go for almost all electric. They really need to upgrade the F-type and make an ad around that in my opinion
I actually enjoy the change. I like having frequent long form clips on this channel, then more high effort and planned content on the main channel. It would be cool though if they made a 3rd channel for people that want clips though

I have always however been a middle class young individual who wanted a jaguar my whole life especially the older ones. With that ad however it single handedly made me never want to buy a jaguar ever. All I ever wanted was a pretty cool classy car and the jaguar brand was exactly what I wanted. Seeing that ad on this channel flat out made me never want to buy a jaguar ever in my life

What companies should be doing is taking the AI video they create, and having humans go over it and correct errors, fix editing style, etc. (I'm completely AGAINST companies using AI to replace workers but it's just what's gonna happen. Look at the industrial revolution. . . You can avoid it for a little bit but eventually the cost-benefit becomes way too great not to partake as a large corporation)
