    Thank you so much for taking the time to make this video. I have talked to several attorneys and none of them told me about not filling due to my disability check being barely enough to survive on. I will email you for more info and your services.

    How do we, THE PEOPLE, can’t get together and form our own lobby and go to the people our vote in office. Then we can lobby on behalf of the hard working people, instead of letting the corporations run roughshod over us, the PEOPLE

    How long does chapter 7 bankruptcy stay on your credit report? What is the best way to rebuild my credit?

      It can stay for up to 10 years but my experience has been that you will have access to credit within 9 months to 1 year after discharge. I would start the rebuild by taking out a small loan with a credit union and pay it back on time. If you can get someone to co-sign a credit card, use it, pay it then ask for a solo account in 6 months. Look for a secured card that becomes unsecured after 6 months of payment. Start small with small credit limits and make sure to pay on time.

      why dont you try paying your debt first ?? My credit score was boosted from 520 to 753 and over 3 collections and credit card debts paid off by this pro credit analyst John McGovern. I was more than amazed at what he did. I even apologized for doubting him. He has been a life saver. mail [jon@creditpatchup.com]

      Your disability money is most likely safe but your pension could be at risk.

      I usually pay cash for stuff I buy. however i have quite a bit of debt due to my low income, how is that viewed when applying for a credit card. My credit score is constantly on a roller coaster and now severely suffering because my cousin has not been paying her monthly note as expected and myself has been skipping few bills. I applied for an American Express card, the application was denied. Though I had one many years ago, and I used it to pay my minor expenses on time. This is the second time that I get denied. I have been monitoring my score and now I have My credit score at about 610 but i needed it to be upgraded for a CAR loan, just last week i saw a review on Facebook about this Credit repair Experts who helped a lady to boost her credit score. I took his contact and mailed him asking him if he can help me fix my credit, Expectantly it was fixed and raised to 805 and all my debts has been rolled out as well. [jon@creditpatchup.com] just in case you need your credit fixed and debt paid just like mine.

      VIrginia, I would speak to an attorney about running means test numbers. The problem with the means test is that it looks backwards so it will assume the 2nd job income. As time goes by the income column will start showing zeros where there was income from the second job and the means test bottom line will more accurately reflect your financial situation.

    So if your income is judgement proof can something be done with the credit card companies before filing for bankruptcy?

    • @atlantabankruptcy

      I write a "drop dead" letter asking them to declare the debt uncollectible. If my client is elderly and only receives Social Security this tactic often works and we can avoid bankruptcy.

    How do you feel about narrowing from 401k to pay for bankrupsy lawyer.

    • @atlantabankruptcy
      @atlantabankruptcy  6 років тому +2

      I don' t think it is a good idea. Your 401(k) is most likely an exempt asset, protected from creditors. You need to preserve your retirement money.
