A problem that I have had and it shows up again today, with the new OCLP 2.0 and Sequoia beta goes to the 1st 2 blocks of text (about 22 lines)and stops…
This started with 14.6 and OCLP 1.5 on Mac Pro 5,1 that is totally being ignored by the OCLP developers unfortunately and could put a whole lot of trouble on the 5,1 MP people who are running OCLP.
Here is the problem and it will be beyond most if it happens and has lost a few already as getting back to a working machine is too complicated…
If anyone with a Mac Pro used OCLP 1.5 on launch with OS 14.6 without a limited few Graphics Cards got this stuck on boot problem and no matter what is done after, there is literally a Ghost in the machine. Nothing works in removing it and the same goes for OCLP 2.0 and OS 15 Beta. I have a bad feeling about this combination locking up in initial stages of boot and nothing else works other than going back to Monterey for stability. No one can explain why the OCLP 1.5 and OS 14.6 install does what it does to a Mac Pro and I can say tonight that OCLP 2.0 fixes nothing for the Mac Pro, which has had a stuck boot loader difficulty in the past. Also OCLP 2.0 won’t do a root patch on Monterey. I would gladly talk about the issues here with any of the OCLP developers but I see big problems ahead and I have proved it tonight with OCLP 2.0 and Sequoia beta getting a stuck boot loader with the “Curse of 14.6”
Mac knew that there was a problem with 14.6.1 launched within a week of 14.6 being launched which addressed the problems of 14.6 for non OCLP installs in more recent intel machines OCLP missed that one and OCLP 2.0 didn’t fix the problem either and I see a 14.7 option on OCLP “Create USB” which also doesn’t work. I have to say to people with Mac Pro, if you have a working system, stick with it, it is not for the faint hearted.

    1) Does this config use metal or non-metal? Does it matter?
