I just listened to the Beach Boys do this music. Bicycle Rider. So brilliant, it's hard to keep up sometimes.
Masterful refocusing. More time for the search. The end still hits hard, but more slowly. There it is, a rusty, ruined thing in the smokehouse. It's important to look at the Fenders. As in the later photo, at about 13, maybe 14, the newness had worn off.
But the original photo is said to have writing on the back with "1948" in the writing. They claim Gladys wrote this. I think it may have just been catalogued posthumously - I would like to see the writing for myself.
Because the second photo shows a taller, more slender teen on a bike without fenders, so that one seems more like 1948, at least. Perhaps 1949. 2 or 3 years old by then, to my eyes. In any event, you hit the bullseye as usual.
The more I watch #thesearcher , the more it reveals. And I only FELT like it was a very fast zoom dolly-in to the bike in the smokehouse. The first watching was different than all the others.
    He stopped dreaming, stopped searching.
    Great job, George!

I got the meaning of the bicycle and thought the documentary was great, for what it was. More to come.

It's good ... but Priscilla did something to cheat, as she always does!
I just did not like the way the documentary put it like scenes involving Priscilla Beauleau! When she narrated how she met Elvis, the scenes do not match the narrative! In those scenes Elvis did not know Priscilla! It was a year before in Fortwood at Eddie Fadal's house! Elvis is with his girlfriend Anitta Wood there, and it's for Anitta that he sings at the piano! Anitta is cut off from the scenes! It's a visual farce! Other scenes, which always involve Priscilla, also do not match the actual dates! People who do not know the history of Elvis can make wrong associations!

Don't need to see that money grubbing spirit everytime there's a special. The same goes for her soulless spawn. Who's a stamp of her wearing her father's mask. The Beaulieu's motive from the start was money. What parents lets allows what they did. It's quoted that Elvis told Marty Lacker, I have to marry her because her father was threatened him. Although I'm thankful for that greed to a certain point because she faught the Colonel in court for all the merchandise and rights to use his name and ever since we had his movies on VHS and established Graceland as sort of a museum. Everything else I'm not buying it because he's not around to back it up or deny it.

That very same bicycle is on display at Graceland today!

Enough! If not for Priscilla we would not be here talking about Elvis today and would not have anything but memories to remember him. Thank heavens for Graceland
