Amsterdam has been a dream destination from childhood. The absence of gadgets has made us deal with boredom by reading and watching TV. In my case, I have always been a fan of travel documentaries and magazines. Then came TLC... I became a fan of Samantha Brown, Andrew Zimmern, and Anthony Bourdain. But a vivid image of a woman dressed in a casual Dutch outfit amidst a vast green scenery, with a beautiful windmill as a backdrop, birthed a dream. This explains why traditional Dutch sightseeing Was my itinerary's priority.
