  • In this video I will show you 3 lists for the Imperial Knights at 500, 1000, 1500, and 2,000 point values. I will also cover some of the reasons you may or may not want to start a Imperial Knights army yourself.
    I do not own any of the art featured in this video. Art gathered was listed as Games Workshop Official Art. If I have used your art by mistake, please reach out and let me know.

    Please, PLEASE magnetize your Questoris. Its just so nice to be able to pick whichever version you want to take, and Magnet Baron has a full kit for magnetizing it. I ignored magnetizing the face and the chest weapon and just used a small dab of blue tack to hold the chest weapon in place, so you don't even have to use all of the magnets!

    Technically, you don't NEED an airbrush to avoid brush-painting. You could use rattle cans. Especially if you paint the knight in subassembly, keeping the armor plates separate from the body. Spray the plates their base colors, and the body some kind of metallic (or black plus metallic drybrush). Then use a brush for more details, dry-brushing, etc.
    (Though, obviously, an airbrush is a good idea in the long run, for anyone who paints models often. It makes back its investment very quickly, just from money on rattle cans.)

    I absolutely love your lists! I completed all three of your Tyranid lists and have been having a blast painting them. I am debating whether I want to start the Ultra Marines since I have the Leviathan and Ultimate Starter halves of those. This and demons are the other factions I am most in. Thank you for these!

      Ìf you pick up 2 boxes of armogers ot should get your imperium half to almost 2000 pts. If you add in 2 terminator boxes you can get a list that looks like this (I didn't make any changes like enhancements, changes to wargear, etc):

      + Configuration +
      Battle Size: 2. Strike Force (2000 Point limit)

    I love your video on Tyranids! Recently started with the starter set and I've gotten some Tyranids model essentials. But tbh I'm really liking how sororitas look
    Kindda sucks that adepta sororitas aren't as economical as Tyranids tbh an with the new combat patrol announced, I'm even more tempted to buy the old combat patrol.

      The old combat patrol (if used for kitbashing) saves a lot of money but unfortunately sisters are just crazy pricey

      @@Speeds_Gaming_Corner Hey I was wondering, if that were the case, wouldn't the boarding patrol be more suitable to start the army since its sprues are the standard kit sprues?

    I enjoyed the video, although I must ask about the 500 point list where it's three Armigers - doesn't one of them have to be a character?

    • @Speeds_Gaming_Corner
      @Speeds_Gaming_Corner  Місяць тому

      Knights have a specific rule that at 500 points you must run 3 armigers and none of themvmay be your warlord

      @@Speeds_Gaming_Corner Sounds promising for my trio of Armigers! 😎
      Is that stated in the Imperial Knight index pdf, or core rules pdf? I honestly cannot find where it says that - everyone I know seems to think that only way is to run them is as Chaos Knights, with the Wardog Stalker with it's Character keyword.

    What lf you don't like painting ? Is therea good armythat doesn't require a lotof painting?
    Also 1500$ 3+ months of salary sounds brutal.

      You can get by on custodes with a can of gold spray paint and a color for fabric or you can go with Necrons and pick any metal spray paint you want and they're basically done.
      Really rhough every army can be 1 main color with a couple small touch ups. Marines are just *insert color here* spray paint with touches of secondary colors

    • @jacobkotten338
      @jacobkotten338 Місяць тому +1

      If you don’t like custodes you can do death guard paint them base color and cover in grime

    • @Speeds_Gaming_Corner
      @Speeds_Gaming_Corner  Місяць тому +1

      The other thing that is nice about Custodes is that they are the cheapest army to collect. You can get an entire army for less than $400 pretty reliably. Buy a few gold paint cans and some small brushes for the extra stuff and you finish your entire army for less than the entry cost of most of the entire rest of the game.
      But like Jacob said you can always get very creative with what you want to use for your army colors and styles.

      @@Speeds_Gaming_Corner Khorne Daemons are also fairly simple to paint. They're just naked guys with swords, or naked dogs with collars, or naked sword guys on a metal mount. You could spray paint the figures red (or maybe use two different spray paints to create a gradient, if you feel fancy). Drybrush the skin with something like orange, to bring out the raised details. Paint swords/collars/chains/mounts bronze. The only time you might need a detail brush is if you want to paint the tongues. Finish it all with a coat of brown wash, and maybe another highlight if you want to be thorough.
      The cavalry can be painted in subassembly, as well. Just don't glue the rider onto the mount until you're done. The mount can easily just be painted all over in bronze, whether that's with a spray, or spraying it brown and dry-brushing with bronze paint.
      Two Chaos Daemons combat patrols (which are really just the Khorne Daemons combat patrol) will get you something like 1000 pts right there. Adding to it would just involve either getting some more combat patrol(s), or springing for a Bloodthirster/Scarbrand. Granted, its kind of a shame to use the same quickie painting technique to paint a Greater Daemon, versus going a lot more detailed. But it's your model, and no one can stop you. Or you might decide the big bois deserve more attention, and use it as the chance to experiment. Everyone will look at the Greater Daemon(s), but few will pay too close attention to the chaff.
