I’ve had great feedback from my ‘Chord Cheat Sheet’.
People seem to find it really useful, so I recommend making the most of that

Y'all, I have a music degree in composition and have been playing guitar + dulcimer for over 30 years, and "Hamilton" just completely blows my mind. Even before I got to see it I was listening to this particular song, "Alexander Hamilton," fixed on the rhythms and dense lyrical content. Once I saw it I fell head over heels for it.
Why does that matter? Because it drove me to figure out this song, and - shocker - you can play it on a Strumstick, dulcimer guitar, Seagull Merlin, pickin' stick dulcimer! I'm showing the song off with a D-tuned instrument, but if you place your fingers where I am on a G-tuned one it'll work (just in G, not D ;-)
Great news: If you want to play along with the recording you probably can. The song is in Bmin, which is the natural minor of a D-tuned dulcimer guitar. Yay!

Thanks for posting stuff for the Merlin. I have had mine for a couple of years and spend more time dusting it than playing it. I'm a new musician and really appreciate your explaining how to reach different cords. I have little stubby fingers which is why I chose the Merlin in the first place (I can't reach across the entire guitar neck!). Anyway, THANKS!

Well I'm glad you made it back to the instrument! I would suggest (or hope) that you take your left hand and roll it around so your wrist the back of your hand is fully parallel to the fretboard and your thumb is planted in the center of the back of the neck. That should give your fingers full access to the strings, even if there are some spreads that are hard to grab. The hand position will require you get your left elbow down and forward, and overall it'll feel odd because you're maybe used to holding it like it's a baseball bat. But getting that space between your palm and the neck will really help.
