Do you still have this same routine? Just a few tips I learnt when I found out about the Curly Girl method: don't brush when dry, don't rub with towel, use a microfiber towel or old cotton shirt to scrunch up and soak up the excess water and give the Denman brush a go, I bought one a couple of months ago and it's amazing for detangling! I wet my hair, apply conditioner and then combine finger detangling with detangling with the Denman. Works a treat! :D
Finally someone who actually has the same hair as me. I'm Asian and I don't have that glossy straight hair--it's extremely frizzy, coarse, and gets matted pretty easily--NO JOKE. I'm not alone :D

My hair looks exactly like your hair, never saw someone with hair like mine until now! It's very beautiful but it's a lot of work but i rather have long hair then short hair. I only brush it before washing my hair if i brush it everyday like you said, it really get's a poofy mess. Nice video!
Do NOT rub the towel on your hair, it creates so much frizz and damage! Squeeze gently instead! :) My hair is exactly like yours, and once i stopped rubbing my hair with a towel, it became much healthier and less frizzy, and my curls became much more defined and ringlety towards the ends :)
Ive never ever seen anyone with my exact hair before!!! Mine is so thick that I can't even put it in a single braid because it looks ridiculous. Course too, like a horse.

instead of a regular plastic bristle brush that pulls and rips hair because I have the same hair texture as you I would recommend using a soft bristle brush where it brushes your hair but it doesn't pull it or rip it.

I have similar hair to yours and only brush it before washing it. If I have knots/matted hair I use a wide-tooth comb and it doesn't make the curls frizzy or a "Tangle Teaser" is amazing for brushing through curls! xxx
@hafsab1 matted isn't the same as matte! matte means it's not shiny basically but matted means when my hair gets really knotted! and basically a huge ball of knots if that makes sense x

My is like yours. I'm glad I found this channel, I've learned a few things by watching this and reading the comments from other people.
i have hair very similar to yours and what i do... i brush before shower, shampoo-wash out, condition-brush through from my ears down-leave in a few mins-washout with cold water, flip hair forward and blow dry roots for like a minute, then i put citre shine anti-frizz serum all over(that stuff is magic) and let it dry naturally, and from time to time tame it with your hands, if when dry its not tame, put some more serum on and tame again ..... works for me! :)

The fringe is really cute on you, I have thick hair like yours and grew out my fringe after quite a long time. I'd recommend getting a hairdresser to thin out the fringe for you (they'll usually do this for a fiver and it'll allow you to sweep it to the side etc). You might also find it less annoying and want to keep it once that's done. It's totally worth it believe me!

The braiding your hair at night tip helped me so much! My hair is like yours except yours is wayyy prettier.
I did lastnight the braides and it came out so good. I'm going to keep doing it because I hate using heat on my hair if its not necessary or if am not going out and really need to. So thank you am so glad I found your channel. My hair is thick and curly like yours but your lucky your hair doesn't get greasy because my only lasts two days and than I must have to.

Hi. My hair is now about as curly/wavy as your hair (except the texture is fine & "fluffier - ugh!). Up until I was about 16 or so my hair was quite straight but now it gets curlier & curlier to the point where I have to accept that I can't try to style it as I used to (with a straightner etc.). I just want to thank you - this vid has been a revelation to me. Cheers x
ur hair is gorgeous! I strongly recommend u condition your hair from the roots to the ends. When u shampoo hair the cuticle layer opens allowing the shampoo to clean the hair of the dirt and grime. If u don't condition the cuticle stays open causing the hair to become very damaged. Conditioner applied through your hair closes the cuticle forming a protective layer keeping the hairs conditioned healthy & strong. Conditioner isn't the cause of oily hair u have to choose the right one for your hair

you can mix conditioner & oil (argan oil, olive oil or something), put it on your hair, wrap a plastic bag around it an let it sit for a couple of hours...that helps me with frizz and dry ends + you get super soft hair ^^
i have super curly hair and use that frizz-ease cream, it works so well!! love your videos by the way! :)
brush it before, only because you're hair is weaker and brittle when wet so you're more likely to damage it when brushing wet :)

that deep conditioner is by tigi which is a salon brand so you can only by it from salons or shops that sell salon products :) x
I've got hair like yours and i brush it with a wide tooth comb! it works well and makes my hair even curlier

i wish I had your hair! I have to live with really soft unmanagable hair which if I wash goes all static and horrible and if I don't wash goes all greasy! MAAH I HATE MY HAIRR

i haven't cut my hair in about 6 months , haha, so i see what you mean with the split end thing! i find i keep on top of it by just literally taking a pair of scissors every once in a while and snip off any bad ends. i know it's not great for your hair, but it hasnt caused me any problems! also masks/serum and stuff help for prevention of split ends :D aswell as leave in moisturisers! xx
advice: comb it when its wet, ditch the brush all together, and this may sound weird, but wash with conditioner only. your hair will be greasy at first, but itll adjust and enhance your curls. yes that means gently massaging your scalp with the conditoner, no it wont clog pores after you rinse and continue massaging
this is like the first video that actually helped me because my hair is exactly like yours. i can't brush it either because then it only ends up as a puff ball of frizz. thanks

Great video! Loved how you edited it. I have a really similar hair type (and hair care routine), though mine is more curly than wavey, and i cannot ever brush it when it's dry either, or i end up looking like diana ross! haha. But that's an awesome tip brushing BEFORE i wash. Cause i hate combing out all the knots when it's wet. Not fun! Thanks. love love love your videos. xx
@LittleMelissaa look, your first comment was fair enough i just wasn't sure what you meant. the minute i put myself on youtube i knew i'd get negative with the positive, and i honestly don't mind constructive criticism or personal opinion but when people are just plain rude about it, that's when i get annoyed because it doesn't help to just have manners, surely you get that. say you don't like my hair, all to their own, but no need to be rude, i'm a youtuber, nothing special, an average girl!

I have thick wavy hair like yours and I'm so glad i'm not the only one who gets puffy, matted hair after brushing it. it's so gross i don't even brush my hair at all anymore, just comb it when its wet.

Your hair is lovely! My hair is so thick and frizzy too but its not wavy so I can't leave it to dry natural for fear that It will turn into a lions mane! Love the ombré too!

I have the exact same hair as you, I love the fringe on you, I love your natural lip colour too. I strongly recommend you try out joico k-pak conditioner and karités conditioner. I used to have blonde hair and with our hair type... (I know yours is only ombred) it will take its toll regardless.... it starts to really matt your hair at the back and stuff. I hope this is somewhat helpful!
You should get a tangle tease brush. I have one! Saved me so much hassle with matted hair.

This is the first video i've watched where i FINALLY found someone with a hair type very similar to mine.
My hair grows so slow, it hasn't been much past my shoulders since i was a little girl and is very prone to split ends and frizziness.

i wonder how your hair looks when it's flat ironed! you should do a vid on it. i'm like you though, i just let it air dry and call it a day or braid my bangs and bobby pin them. wish i had your hair!!
