Love to hear a B-25 start up. My Dad was shot down in 1944 while on a bomb run over northern Italy. Mia, pow and still came home after the war. I was a few months old when he was shot down.
Ahh! The intoxicating sound of big radial engines and propellors thrashing the air. All in the form of the best medium bomber produced during WWII. The B-25 Mitchell. Thanks Air Show Stuff.
It’s really amazing to see that this many B-25’s in one place. What a beautiful plane. My dad was an armorer/tail gunner in B-25’s stationed in Sardinia and Corsica as part of the 437th squadron, 319th group, 12th Air Force, in 1944. He was all of 19 years old. When I was a kid he used to tell me of his experiences over there. I fell in love with the 25’s and built many plastic kits of them during my youth. One time in the early ‘70’s he attended an air show at Half Moon Bay, CA and there was a B-25 there. He got to talking to the pilot and the pilot offered him a ride. He was very excited to go. Later, he told me that taxiing and revving up for take off with the whole plane shaking, brought back all of the nervous feelings he had going on missions during the war. But all in all he really enjoyed the ride. I wish I could have gone up with him.
My Father was Bendix top gunner- 69th BS/42 BG(M) - 13th AAF Henderson Field BSI. He lost three comrades (still aboard) off Buka Is- Test flight for 1st 75mm equipped B-25 J. Put Radio/Gunner in life raft & Rescued by RNZAF PBY5 "Dumbo" off Cape Hanpan.... Submitted research to KIA/MIA at Pearl Harbor . G-d bless'm all
I love your channel, it reminds me of when my dad was alive and we would map out what air shows we wanted to see. 1970's Southern California had some great ones! Thanks for posting so many great vids.
Seeing all those Mitchells is inspiring! Such a well balanced design. Everything about a B-25 looks right. Dutch really knew how to design planes. N.A. was by far one of the greatest AV companies. Just imagine taking one of those off the deck of the Hornet. Too bad there aren't any C-Ds. The early versions were my favorites. Salute to Col. Doolittle and crews.
I was in the right hand pocket of the show. One of the best I've ever been to. Period. To see an F-16 and EA-18 so fast and so close was almost unreal.
There is at least one still flying in Europe. Red Bull operate her out of Vienna. It wouldn't surprise me if there is one in Australia as well as they are really big on the warbird preservation scene.
Thank you for posting this. I live about 1.5 miles from Willow Run airport. The Thunder Over Michigan show was this past weekend 8-7-21 and 8-8-21. We went on Sunday all day. I really hope you post some more footage from the show. Thanks for having an awesome channel. 👍🏻❤️🦅🇺🇸
My father was a radio gunner with the Marines VMB-443 in the south pacific the Marine Corps variant does its flyby @ 10:41 what a blessing these crews are to keep these great planes looking and flying just like they were in the 1940s THANK YOU TO YOU ALL!!!
Does anyone else get a good old fashioned tingles down the back of their neck or goosebumps bumps on their arm. The work/time/money/arguing that goes into this Well done yanks👍 From 🇬🇧
I’ve been waiting on this video. “Yankee Doodle” is based about ten miles away from me 👍
3 роки тому+1
Was lucky enough to see Killer B up close when she was on static display at valiant air command in Titusville/FL . But boy this air display is beyond gorgeous
The all silver B-25 Miss Mitchell ftakes off/lands over my house all the time. My house is right in line with the runway. Also it is nice to end the video by chance with the thump, thump of a Huey in the background
We often see the "Devil Dog" around Lake Austin and Lake Travis here in Austin, but today we saw the "Yellow Rose" do a few passes today while we were out boating, would love to see the two of them fly together one day!
The B-25 is a sexy plane. With or without paint, those lines.... those engines.....North American really did know how to make some beautiful machines. Edit... Oh.. man, those poor F-18s....I feel bad for the ground crew, because I know how picky the Blue Angels are about keeping their machines clean.... Oh well, the beautiful old beasts deserved their day to shine together :)
This is Truly Special. My Favorite WWII Bomber, and SO Many of them.. All the different Liveries.. All Flying and ohMYYY!! *quickly sits down before swooning* ❤🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩❤
I wish I had been there to see and hear it all. It is a rare event to have that many R-2600's all firing up at the same time., just as if the calendar had been turned back to 1942! WOW!
Beautiful Bird. The Movie "Catch 22 " had an EXCELLENT take off scene, and other spectacular scenes . Most excellent ovie , The STARS were Perfect. ][ have yet to see the remake of that Movie, ][ hopoe they didn't cut any flight scenes.. Ty You, Great Work.! SALUTE
We'll be going to the airshow for the first time this year, although we'll be watching from outside the show grounds. Still, I can't wait wait! In addition to FiFi and Diamond Lil', there will be *TEN* P-51's at the show! *TEN!*
Does anyone else think that is reminiscent of the opening scenes of Catch 22? That could easily have ben a whole squadron's serviceable aircraft on the day of a raid.
My god how glorious/terrifying the sound of the formations were. Just imagine 100s of these doing a bombing run with the escort fighters. Would have been mice to hve these 13 plus 4-5 fighters to simulate what it would have been like during the war time. But this is a nice glimpse to have a better understanding of the terror of these aircraft.
9 pacifist giving it a thumbs down, having the right to do so because of all those who served in WWII and those who flew in those bombers. They far exceed anything these 9 will ever be!
I gave it a thumbs down because the announcer never shuts the hell up and he drowns out the sounds of those beautiful B-25s. Am I a pacifist? Others have made similar comments. Besides, I doubt pacifists would even click on the video. Perhaps you should rethink your stance.

We were litterlly here at this air show it was amazing
You can well imagine how surprised the Japanese were when Doolittle and his B-25s showed over Tokyo. The sight and sound is mighty impressive.

the fact that there are 13 of them flying is amazing.
more than that
45 of them or worthy over 100 of them are still around
I'm so glad that I got to see these 13 fly on Sunday
old is gold

How could you not LIKE/LOVE a Baker's Dozen? Thank you for making it like I was there!!
Getting to see Rosie's Reply again in action was a real treat. Listening to all of he bombers flyover was an unforgettable sight and sound!
I love your channel, it reminds me of when my dad was alive and we would map out what air shows we wanted to see. 1970's Southern California had some great ones! Thanks for posting so many great vids.

Rosie’s Reply the first B25 in this video with the yellow cowling rings is a D model so there was at least one early bird there!
What an awesome sight and of course the sound!
The one with tail#18 is now here at Laporte Municipal Airport. Its a beauty.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸🛩
I was in the right hand pocket of the show. One of the best I've ever been to. Period. To see an F-16 and EA-18 so fast and so close was almost unreal.

Never forget history and always teach as much of it as you can!
Man the sound of these bombers is glorious and their sound alone tells a huge story behind their legacy is

What a beautiful sight. Remembering our Heroes of Yesterday and Today.
If you ever wanted to know where the Harley Sound came from.
Man, does that bring back memories and tears.
Could always sleep well under that rumble.
Great shots of Semper Fi! This was such an awesome airshow
She’s a beauty.
The best sound in the world- times
thirteen equals the greatest
video ever!!

This airshow took place on the 7th and 8th, good timing lol.
Some sounded in better health than others, loved them all !
A USA Warbirds Airshow vs UK is like a first date without a chaperon, you can touch, feel, talk to owners ...do it !
Incredible aircraft. What an awesome display
I’m happy to see Carolina Girl flying again!
Beautifully shot and presented, thanks so much for sharing!

Awesome warbirds!

Beautifull!😍❤️✈️
Fantastic sight! Great to see this many warbirds!
There's no mistaking the raspy, throaty rumble of the B-25 ..
One can imagine what it will sound like with the 1000 bombers raid.....
The one at 10:52 is the only example of a true PBJ (Marine variant of the Mitchell) left flying in the world.
Yessir! USN BuNo. 35857, the only one left! She flew 20 hours total to get to the show and back from Southern California
Que hermosos estos viejos!!!. Que bien conservados que estan!!.
I'm still in awe how they got 16 off an aircraft carrier
Priceless pal.
This is Truly Special. My Favorite WWII Bomber, and SO Many of them.. All the different Liveries.. All Flying and ohMYYY!!

❤🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩🛩❤
That is awesome. I didn't think that there were that many flying nowadays. I want to build a RC version of this craft.
WW2 aircraft like the B 25 just have the best styling. Know they were built to conduct warfare, but they look so good from hangar to flight.
What a beautiful sight...
too bad covid fucked up the planning so i wasn't able to see them up close but i was able to see them flying from ecorse
Very impressive fantastic air show. Nice plane turbo prop B-25 mitchell. I like this plane turbo prop 👍🤗🇺🇸🇺🇸💘💔❤️⭐🌟🌠✨
I love the B-25. This is great.
very cool
Waw,its so cool 👍
I was at that show and MB11 sounded so freaking good

Privet from Russia! Great video!
Go Devil Dog!
Most impressive‼️ love seeing the bombers of WW2
I'm curious if the hangar behind the blues is the new roush hangar?
Nope, this one is for Avflight the FBO
Very nice aircraft
I was here and I thought that big plane at the back was a ac 130 but it was a airbus and the thunder birds where holy loud
I remember they did something like this at Van Nuys airport California way back in the 80s
It’s a shame we can’t get that many B-26 Marauder’s in one place at the same time..
If only I could click the like button 100 times!!!
Does anyone else think that is reminiscent of the opening scenes of Catch 22? That could easily have ben a whole squadron's serviceable aircraft on the day of a raid.
Now that’s an air show …..
That's alot of b25s
Loudest vehicle I've ever been in for sure
I want the one with the corsica on it !!
Just a taste of what it must have sounded like to hear bombers cuing up for a job.
Later B-25 Bombers Were Designated AS PBJs But Still Always The Mitchell
It's weird there's lots of mitchells still flying but no marauders

Pilot at 7:00 rotated early and near pulled a tail strike 😲
That's what that bump under the tail is for.
I will always associate radial engined bombers with glen miller's "in the mood"
Great
Simper Fi looking pretty.Devil Dog’s my girl.
Def different than the twin engined mosquito with merlines 👍

The Eagle screams...
Hello.
never forget. 12-7-1941 PEARL HARBOUR. a day which will live in infamy. gooooood morning japan. the time is B-25 am, and time for some payback.
Anybody having a CATCH-22 flashback?
This is called aircraft porn.
I only see 8
Great show, but would have been better without the annoying announcer who couldn't shut up for a second.
9 pacifist giving it a thumbs down, having the right to do so because of all those who served in WWII and those who flew in those bombers. They far exceed anything these 9 will ever be!
