Taken by the “If you build it, they will come” story of the Jerry Run Summer Theater, Iron & Wine felt the remote location was the perfect setting to film a concert in celebration of 'Archive Series Volume No. 1.' Here, a batch of songs that had never been performed live was presented for the first time to an audience of fans and music lovers, many of who had never heard of Iron & Wine.
'Dreamers and Makers are my Favorite People' looks back to Iron & Wine’s earliest moments and shares the story of the musical community fostered by Jerry Run Theater. Through live footage, interviews, and photos the viewer is treated to a rare glimpse into the past.

this version of slow black river is divine! it comes across so dark in such a lovely way. i really resonate with the storyline... love, betrayal, heart ache, trying to find your way thru it all. so incredibly relatable and he nails the feelings....as always

This man is just a treasure! he has created SO many songs that are timeless and important. REAL music no digital effects. no overdub sampling, God bless him NO TWERKING. Just well crafted songs and great musicians playing them...thank you Mr beam!
+bryantjudoman His music is so simple and celebrates the moment. It explores the intricate emotions which kind of stir around in my head, compared to all the modern music which just reeks of consumption and worn out cliches and everything to the extreme.
How can this be down voted. This is everything that's good in the world in one video
All I can figure is that some people have lived life only in shallow and awful ways and so being exposed to someone as pure, real, and self-actualized as Sam et al deeply upsets them by making them aware of it this in ways they feel they can’t adequately cope with other than dismissal.
Sam Beam is such an inspiration. He seems as sincere as people come and has such brilliant perceptions about all of life. Thank you for sharing with the world.
Honestly, I just love that he sings about a "freckled girl". I think it's one of the first times us freckled girls got a shout out and it feels great. Also, this album is wonderful and so raw and real.
Hey this was 3 years ago, but trust me, some of us love freckles :)

Beautiful music and awesome venue:) if ever looking for a small/personal setting to perform in the central Indiana area the vibe of this place (not the size) reminded me of Rhum Academy of Music in Kokomo where I've seen and played a few shows. Only seat a few hundred people but the stage and sound are amazing like this place and the people are just as sweet and friendly. I'd love to visit this summer theater as well.
