Best I was able to do on my own was rank 506. I couldn't match your team build 100% (lacking a couple of EX levels and a couple of your VC and COW gear) but I was able to manage rank 1 with your strategy and the replacements I chose for the items I couldn't match. Thank you so much for sharing your brilliance. I feel like the new COW focus abilities are a little above my head right now. I agree with your comments regarding it seems like the content is less quality and less quantity more and more so. Makes week to week more and more boring. My favorite element of the game is the actual game story line. Its a shame they put out so little with each month that goes by in that element of the game.

I tried using taivas spirit on turn 7 with hyoh and the boss goes crazy and wipes out my party for turn 8, but when I just attacked with hyoh on turn 7 like you did in the video everything went fine.
Ah yep, you gotta hit the boss with dark every turn or it goes psycho. So if using Taivas Spirit on Hyoh then have Frosty hit the boss with his third action.
gah i tried to do this R1 clear but i just could not manage. My frostlord is ex 1 and i don't have COW Gear other than the tiara. Gear and materia were close match but i didn't also have some of the COW materias being sold, My ellesperis is also ex 2 and by the time you try to get to the 80% threshold that's when i started to falter and ultimately ended up dying to him.
Well with an Ex1 Frosty and Ex2 Melissa i don't think you have enough Ex levels for an R1 clear? But yeah, this team is probably considered pretty old by current standards so you do have to have he gear to make them strong enough to get across the finish line.

Yeah, he doesn't really reach his good damage til Ex2, stats get a huge bump and he gets his 150 amp.

How do I use my focus gem even if I'm in mania mode and the ability keeps saying unavailable
If you're in Mania Mode and have at least one focus gem you can then use a Vertex Ability (Vertex Shield, for example) to get out of Manie Mode.

I literally got Hyoh and his pet just last week and he's still EX1, could he be replaced with someone else? Maybe Aya Brea?
