Sony 2025 camera roadmap: A7V, FX3II and 100 Megapixel Sony A7rVI?

- It's time to define a possible 2025 Sony camera release roadmap. I am certain there will be more camera in 2025 than we had in 2024.
For sure we are getting the A7IV and FX9 successor...but will there also be a 100MP Sony A7rVI?

They need to put internal NDs in the next FX3
THIS
oh hello there gigachad
And make it capable of recording in opengate!
Not gonna fit in that tiny body, would make the FX6 redundant.
@@SuperPhunThyme100 Probably not in the current body, but if they made it like 1 cm thicker and 1 cm taller I think they could probably do it if they wanted to. Maybe they could make it FX4. I would still think that there is a market for FX6, but it would likely shrink a lot if the FX3 got internal ND.
Please keep us up to date. I’m itching to move to the next gen cameras. My A7IV and A7SIII have served me well, I do a lot of stuff with the fx9/6 for work and we’re excited for the next release in that segment as well
In addition to your video, they could do RX10V, with the same sensor (if they have no time for adding new sensor and thinking a lot about such cameras today)...
BUT... they would just add AI Chip so would increase autofocus performance, pre-capture and maybe add faster SD Card slot + 4k60 no crop, and 4k120p.
Just 4 functions in which 3 are focused on photography, and 1 for video.
Any more thoughts on the curved sensor for a fixed lens camera RX-!!r
at 61MP, the sensor start to show some issue regarding the high density, at 100MP, not only the increment in resolution would really start to feel nich, but I fear how the camera would behave in lowlight condition... 100MP feels right on a Medium frame but on a Full frame? Id love to see a relatively small upgrade in resolution (70-75MP) but with significant improvement rolling shutter performance and low light performances.
on the other hand you can just bin 100mp into 25mp in low light, still perfectly usable. isnt this what sony is doing with the a7s3 anyways, 48mp to 12mp..
I doubt there are many reasons to NOT go for high res as possible with the high res cams. as long as the lenses can resolve it
@@leledreher Yeah I guess youre right, Id still think the rolling shutter should be their priorities over the resolution, especially since they seem to try to sell its video capabilities...
The Fuji 26MP sensor is a cropped version of Sony’s full-frame 60+ MP sensor. Perhaps the brand-new 40MP sensor in Fuji cameras is a cropped version of Sony’s yet to be released full-frame sensor, possibly 90MP. That's just my speculation, I'm also fine with 60-70mp as long as they improve the readout speed.
@Offbeat_Universe im not really following Fujifilm outside their GFX medium frame... What a day to be alive when even an apsc reach 40MP!
Sony is likely behind that sensor as always so your logic make a lot of sense for me!
A 100MP A7R VI and an A7S IV with the A9 III sensor? My pre-order is in faster than you can say “market segmentation”
The FX9 was announced in September of 2019 so at this point more than five years ago and we still have to wait a while longer. I’m tending to think that’s going to be the product cycle pace for the rest of the FX line going forward. Sony has already announced an FX6 firmware update for 2026! And FX3 firmware for late 2025. I’m not holding my breath for new cameras next year. And on another note, the a9III global shutter sensor would be awful in the FX3 and FX6. We buy that camera for the low light latitude available at ISO12800. If Sony takes that away customers will flee to Canon-for that matter they probably are already since the FX line is falling behind in some respects. Regardless the a9III sensor is expensive, has less dynamic range, and none of the high-native ISO capability. That would not fit their product niche whatsoever.
someone Cleary didnt see cine d prove how amazing the a9iii dynamic range in video is. People love talking out of their ass before actually doing research and seeing that is has dynamic range that Rivas the red v raptor in latitude. In photography is where the dynamic range hits, but in video is a freaking monster.
Some would prefer a second iso gainstage around 3-4k. There are more reasons to buy sony cameras.
@ If you can work at ISO2000 on all your projects then the DR isn’t terrible with the a9III sensor. However, I have the FX3 and FX6 because they perform well at a more reasonable ISO800 for bright conditions as well as at ISO12800 for documentary and event filming when light is limited. If Sony takes all that away by dropping an a9III sensor into future FX cameras then they ruin the line and I switch brands.
@@tonehtheories Canon dropped triple-native on us this year which is fantastic. No telling if Sony has that kind of engineering in the pipeline. But I’ve become so comfortable using ND with 12800 for those mid-light scenarios that I’m not worried about it either. Way.
@@yusei151According to cine d, the $6.5 A9iii is only 53rd best in DR. The cheaper R5ii is 6th best in DR. To add salt to injury for Sony, the $25K Burano is only 8th best in DR test. So people are right, A9iii SUCKS in video DR test. R5ii is the true MONSTER, over any Sony, thoroughly whooping the $25K video oriented body!
the deep problem with sony is that they lack 6k .. nikon with the z6III nailed it, it's exactly what we want what we want from a today camera.. . the only downside is the lack of prettier image quality.. but i hope canon will follow the path .. sony is so stucked with 4k that is unberable.. we want to start future proof videos.. and 6k is the best hd format ever... it won't get old.. and it's croppable.. 6k 60p should be the new standart for new sony camera's nobody is really interested in 8k which is too much .. for many reason's especially storing the datas.. so sony stop cheating on your customares.
I never used video on my A1 and A9III. So why shoud I care about 6k? If you need 6k, get a camera that has 6k. Problem solved.
@@renestaempfli1071 ahahah you don't know anything about video do you? It's simple you own lens of a certain camera.. and to switch it costs you much more.. so if you are not a videomaker and just a photographer stay put..
@@tresderan10 You played with a Nikon Z9 yet? 8K with all the glory. Sony still using CF_Express A?
@@Ben_Stewart no but i saw samples of video .. and it's not super pleasant.. I hope that with red they can make the super camera!!! ahahha also the real sweet spot is 6k i am sure of it.. easily upscalable to 8k in the future.. that is the ultimate format..
@@tresderan10 Try playing with it. Only Nikon has that 45MP stacked sensor that will record 8K 60 internally. Maybe one day Premier will open up to NRAW.
I'll keep the 24-105mm f2.8 lens hype alive!
yes, we need that...stil love the old one
get the sigma one its great
Can they even make such a lens? 28-105 f2.8 is more realistic isn't it?
@@三上家 that’s what I was referring to
@@三上家 canon already has one
As a wedding photographer and videographer I prefer the a7 lineup so I'm looking forward to that one.
The most important thing to me is the autofocus and low light performance. More megapixels would be cool
A7V with 44 Mpx, 20 Fps, updated EVF, full 4k 60...otherwise don't care 😂 This is a must considering the competition nikon Z6 / Z8 etc 🔥😅
Even that update is no closer to z6iii or z8
@@ThePistonPit In what way wouldn't that be closer to the Z6 III or Z8?
The Z8 costs around €4.300, the Z6 III (which would be the direct competitor) costs €2.800, and you conveniently leave out the Z7 II which is between €3.000 and €3.200 most of the time.
44 MP + 20 FPS would be at price tage which most likely will be in-between €2.600 - 3.000:
- A lot more MPs than the Z6 III (24 MP) at similar speeds
- Basically the same amount of MPs as the Z7 II (46 MP), but twice as fast at a similar or lower price.
- Basically the same amount of MPs as the Z8 (46MP) at lower speeds, but a fraction of its price.
How does that translate to you in it not being closer to any of those cameras? Now, will these specs happen? That's up for debate. Especially, in terms of speed... 20 FPS is nice and all, but given that the A7 series is aimed at entry level FF (only A7C series is a cheaper way into FF), a lot of people who buy them also like to use third party lenses, and they are capped at a speed of 15 FPS. So, even if it would be 44MP at 15 FPS it would be a solid upgrade over the A7 IV (especially if they add the ai chip for faster AF, RAW pre-capture, etc. and it would absolutely compete with its competitors.
The Canon R6 II (+/- 2.500) is a lot faster at 40 FPS, but has a 24 MP sensor. If you want something with more MP, you're looking at €4.800 that you will need to cough up for a FF Canon that can do that. And Nikon... well as we have established, if it's closely priced to the Z6 III it would offer higher MPs at slightly slower or similar speeds, and if it's priced closely to the Z7 II, it would be faster with similar MP count. And let's not compare it with the Z8, because comparing it to a camera, which costs €1.300+ more than a new A7V is completely ridiculous.
Not a chance even if it does w0 its doing it with slow readout. Fhay spec list would kill sales of a1 and even a7rv possible to
Would love the A7V with a higher resolution for video (6k) and at least the ability to shoot 24 RAW photos per second. Maybe with a record to USBC option. I hope it comes out January - that would be amazing.
How about the road map for Lumix?!
How about no more speculation.
α7s4 would be amazing. The S line is a beautiful astro photography & low light event/concert camera (and video of course) we need another model with the new AI Processing unit!
Thank you. Have too many Sony bodies now (total of 6) so I’m done unless I swap out something. Also selling a used Sony camera has really slowed down and prices for used Sony bodies have had severe price erosion in a very short time. An A7RV is selling for about $2500-$2700 now as an example. Too bad. Take care.
The RX1R2 is much smaller than the Fuji x100vi (I use both), and I agree, it would be amazing to see it updated because there’s something special about it. However, I don’t think they will update it. I think their business plan is based on selling interchangeable lens cameras because the up-selling of lenses is a massive turnover/profit multiplier for each interchangeable lens camera sold. The same is not true for a fixed lens camera. Also, they may reason that if they updated the RX1R2 and included IBIS, an improved grip, a fixed viewfinder (for weather and dust resistance) etc etc, it may well end up only a little smaller than the A7CR (give or take). Also, I’m not sure Zeiss would update that lovely 35mm F2!
The only weakness of the wonderful Zeiss lens is purple fringing, but this can be easily corrected in Lightroom.
I'm more likely to expect around 90mp in line with the resolution of the xt-50. The lenses would probably struggle to resolve much more than that to be worth processing and dealing with the marginal gains of dealing with the extra 10 megapixels.
Ugh...more mirrorless type hybrid cams.
Hoping we get an FX9 replacement in 2025.
I would really like to see Sony put some effort into a compact camera update to the RX line small enough to take into sports venues but with good performance and built-in telephoto
I’m still dreaming about an A7000 with an A9III body, Aps-c 26mp stacked sensor, pre-capture, good ibis and 3000 euros price tag. Would be a fantastic camera for birds and wildlife and affordable.
I'm curious, would an APS-C sensor have any advantages over a full-frame sensor shooting in APS-C mode? Except for maybe fewer megapixels depending on the camera, you are getting the same surface area, but now you have options.
@@SteelRoninTT price.
Will be interesting to see how Sony (and OM) reacts if the rumoured Canon R7ii sees the light of day. Bring it on.
@SteelRoninTT Rolling shutter of the A7R V is worse in cropped mode, so maybe not an option. Other cameras may not have enough megapixels in APS-C mode to allow for further cropping if needed.
Naaah… these rumors have become just a bunch of videos to monetize channels and generate views. A9iii and A1ii rumors have been way off from what the cameras actually are…. What a shame!
RX1R iii, please!
smartphones and action cams killed that market for camera companies
A7V needs: Focus Bracketing, Exposure Bracketing, and Exposure times up to 15 minutes for Astro.
Instead of the usual compact, I want a Sony equivalent of the Contax T2. God that was a gorgeous camera. Wish I'd kept mine when film died out.
Will the A7V have 4k 60 with NO crop?
🔮🔮🔮🔮🪄🪄🪄🪄
I’m sure, ai AF new articulated screen and sony will sell it to u like a new camera😂
Was there a serious reason to delete my comment where I just used "🪄🪄🔮🔮" to joke around the question? What's the problem? Cmon.
People have problem with jokes today.
@@ThePistonPit Bigger question is the quality of the display. The display quality of the A7 IV not even mediocre.
You had said once about a new kind of camerain in the alpha series. A rumored camera i think. What kind of camera was it about?

I’m looking for a 100 MGP camera so I don’t sale all my Sony gear for the Hasselblad X2D and the 90v lens
It would be awesome if Sony came out with a cinema line of lenses. All lenses having auto focus. Both prime and zooms.
It'sn a7v or fx3ii for me next year if I can save up enough by the time they are both out.
what do you think about the RX 100 line up? may we expect a RX 100 VIII perhaps next year or in 2026 ? will it have a zoom from 2x - 600 mm probaly, still with stacked sensor or even global shutter? and more than 20 MP?
The most likely high resolution sensor would be a 109mp FF. They released a medium format 250mp sensor recently (IMX811-AAQR), which could be scaled down to full frame. It has a pixel pitch of 2.81µm
I have the 100sii and a7rv. It’s crazy how much bigger the sensor is on the Fuji. Anyone familiar with the physical limits and negative effects of cramming 100mp into a much smaller sensor ?
I don’t see any good reasons to go beyond the current resolution, you get a standard resolution of an APS-C at crop. The need for more is fundamental for special requirements and that sort is currently so niche that MF at large can take care of that. Even the print of 42-45mp is so large that you rarely ever need more meaning 60ish is mostly down to the ability to do some noticeable crops. Another issue is the file size get more and more demanding to handle and the 60ish is hefty enough as is, that is without mentioning the storage capacity problem
a 100MP A7RVI would bring with it some headaches, like diffraction setting in at f4.0. Be careful what you wish for.
Is there any new rumor about the 2-layer stack sensor on new bodies?
how can they argument 7000 Euro for a even stacked sensor with 50 mp and a A7V with also AI Chip and maybe 44 mp Stacked...it is hard to argument... @Andrea Pizzini
Im sceptical the A7V will have a stacked sensor...
@@vacciniumaugustifolium1420 me too...just because of the A1 ii specs...44mp stacked vs 50 mp Stacked...for about 3 times more money,...that sounds not realistic tbh
@@gaming-fuel6250 THEY.. WILL.. NEVER.. PUT.. STACKED SENSOR.. IN ENTRY LEVEL CAMERAS. Please, remember. :)
@@pentagramyt417 they should for the FX3II/FX4
None of the 7 series has a stacked sensor and will most likely never have. Thats why SONY has the A9 and A1 series.
I have both a A7RV and a A7CII. I wonder what more they can do the the R series. The A7RV is already an amazing camera. Improve low light capabilities maybe? Aren't the A7CR and A7CII a great replacement for the RX1R series?
I think 100mp would make sense to start competing with the medium format digital cameras from Fuji and Hasselblad.
Depending on what Sony puts into the FX3m2, it may make an a7S4 superfluous.
I wonder if we get something that would compete with the DJI Osmo Pocket III. So, a small pocket-sized camera with build in gimbal made for vlogging that is easy to use for non-technical people.
Yup,..the FX3 is a perfectly STRONG seller. Sony does not replace cameras that are still hot sellers. They will only do that "after" sales have slowed down and fallen below a threshold. They "might" make an FX5 or FX3-R with the same body but using the A1 sensor for 8k video. (but this will not be an FX3 replacement)
They will never do an 8K cheaper cinema camera. It eats too much into their Venice line.
An FX6 with an A1 sensor would perform at like 95 percent of the image quality of the Venice. Which is a camera in the 50k+ range.
Any more on dji mirrorless
I doubt the fx3 gets its successor announced till end of the year if it does get it as they have another update coming next September
It would be a pity if Sony missed-out on the compact camera market.
which Sony lens could support a 100mp sensor? All the GM lens?
Les focales fixes GM
Even the sharpest lenses are barely enough for the 61MP sensor. 100MP would be pointless.
When the 400 and 600mm primes were released I read somewhere that they were tested for 100MP sensors and to be still very sharp. So I guess those 2 and maybe the latest other GMs
@@jeroenvdw Well that's cool as I have the 600mm f4
how about a compact camera with 40x Optical Zoom
40x optical? then that thing won't be compact at all
I own the A7RV and the noise is already pretty high on higher ISO, I don't think 100MP will be worth it for anyone. Even for big prints a 12MP camera would be enough so it's just for cropping. And who needs cropping? Mostly wildlife photographers and they have much better options.
I’m so pumped. Can’t wait for all of these cameras to also be ignored by Sony when they need firmware. It’s nuts how many people still support a company that takes your money and doesn’t stand behind its own products. Gerald Undone called out Sony on this, Manny Ortiz called out Sony on this, others have as well. Has Sony addressed the complaints? Nope. Oh look, we have a new camera fam! 😂
All of those would be great! You always talk about Sony and Sony, what about Nikon and Canon?
Is Nikon coming up with a Z9 II? Or Z8 II? Are we getting new lenses from Nikon? Are we finally getting at Z7 III?
Is canon releasing the R6 III?

Let's hope Sony fixes real problems of the A7 instead of bumping resolution und framerate.
Such as? Already one of the most popular cameras on the market following up on the also hugely popular mark iii. Also the only camera in its segment with such a high resolution. Bumping the framerate and updating the body / AF in line with everything else would result in a pretty epic camera for the price.
@@Dr.T-Bomb The display that has an unacceptable resolution and brightness, the viewfinder that has no competitive resolution anymore and the wifi is complete garbage. Wireless tethering is slow and unreliable af and i hate working with a cable for tethering in the studio.
@@Chris-xe5ts It would be great to see these improvements but I can't imagine Sony would start on their entry model given that the shit screens are a problem across their entire camera range, unbelievably. Wireless anything seems to be a catastrophe across most cameras - I've given up on it except for a snap or two taken out socially for a quick edit. The a7iv viewfinder has the same resolution as the R6ii and the Z8/Z9. Not leading by any means but it's definitely not behind. I need an RX10 and a ZV-1 that isn’t crippled. ZV-1 does not even need hardware upgrade it simply needs to be unlocked.
mirrorless bodies and high resolution full frame sensors have made APSC cameras kind of redundant. The bodies will weight more or less same and if you want apsc lenses you can sue them on high resolution full frame.
A9000 - APSC Mini A9III would be cool.
Why?
@ Crop factor, cheaper, sharper in the center.
the only thing sony needs to do is add 30fps h.265 into all their recent cameras

Professional and aps-c mentioned in same sentence ?🤨
Still prefer my Panasonic G9 lol. It's so under rated.
The fx9 released so long ago it's probably a mk2. No way they come up with a successor to the fx6 when they have an update planned for it in 2026
And still no open gate, no internal raw, and no Anamorphic support in 2025. SONY SUCKS BALLS
Looking forward to Sony announcing more cameras with crappy monitor screens
Canon R5 user here. For me to move to Sony, I want the A7rVI with 80+ megapixels and perhaps a bit faster frame rate with excellent HDR. To me, this camera would be industry's top of the line full frame camera for anyone needing high resolution stills and deep crops without moving to medium format. Sony, it's time to step up and lead the way in technology. Waiting to see what Sony does is one of the reasons I will not upgrade to the R5 mk II.
80 megapixels will surely not happen. On a camera of this price for Sony
@@RodieOsc The technology is just about there. Sony already has been developing a 100 mp full frame sensor, and rumor has it the Canon has one as well. It's just a matter of time. Progress is inevitable. And no one said it would be cheap.
@ that’s true. But man imagine one photo is probably like a gigabyte
@@jimbruton9482 And it'll have horrible low light noise, just awful, and the lenses are barely sharp enough for 60MP as it is. The last thing full frame needs is more than 60 megapixels. The A7RVI just needs a faster sensor readout and maybe a 64 base ISO like the Nikons have.
@@RodieOsc Hasselblad's X2D 3fr medium format files are about 210 mb-220 mb so yes they're bigger but not anywhere near 1gb. If the camera and software companies adopt newer file formats like jpeg xl they can be even further reduced without loss of sharpness or dynamic range.
What happened to the sony camera you said was going to be totally different and unique ? You said this early this year.

@andrea_pizzini why can't these manufacturers make a camera with a rocker zoom ? Yes fx3 has a zoom but it's not a rocker zoom. I'm convinced that a ton of videographers would buy that camera.
I still say that a 32mp stacked APS-C based camera would sell like gangbusters. Maybe limit some features to avoid overlap but if you can make an APS-C version of the Oly OM-1 II, you will have an audience
28mp is enough for 6K and digital stab
what the hell... did we come back to the era when everyone tough that more megapixels means better gear or better work?
A7cs already exist it's called Zv-e1 🤣🤣🤣
A75 seems likely, FX9 probably. I don’t think we’ll get our hands on an fx3ii or fx6ii in 2025.
FX6II or we riot.
they already launched the Burano recently. I don't think Sony is gonna be willing to cannibalize their product too soon
Sony has the opportunity to separate the a7s from the fx with the global shutter, and give us a new a7s with more mega pixels, please Sony!
or they could do that the other way around. Giving the upgrades to the FX3II/FX4 and killing the A7s line
All Sony cameras to be announced in 2025 will be incremental upgrades. Just look at recent history. Expect a bigger grip and not much else. 100 megapixels is ridiculous. Give me a better (better dynamic range and low light ability) 40 or 50 megapixel sensor and I’ll upgrade (from my A7iv).
I would want a A7RVI to be released to drop the price of the A7RV on the used market lol
100 mp possible. Sony global shutter video and autofocus getting ready to compete with dji Hasselblad and fuji medium format apsc
Merci beaucoup pour la traduction vocale en français 🙏🙏😉
È stato veramente strano ascoltarti con traccia audio in italiano ahaha 😂
Seeing the caveats that the Sony A9 3 has using a global shutter it would be perfect if they put a global shutter in an aps-c camera as the issues with dynamic range would not be a problem seeing how it's in the aps-c camera.
And would blow away the new Canon R7 Mark II
We can only dream, but an APS-C stacked sensor could be a possibility.
Do you own an A9III? Have you ever used one? Is DR an issue above ISO 800, which is normal in high speed low light sitations? Is DR really a problem at base ISO 250. Can you show me examples on a 10 bit screen or on print?
@renestaempfli1071 Why do you ask that when many experts that all they do is do them kinds of test so we don't have to. You sound like you just want to argue.
But like I said seeing how the dynamic range in the Sony 893 is not the same as the rest of the full frame lineup from Sony because of the global shutter it would be perfect for a PSC body especially if they can get the iso as low as 100 or 50 because of the smaller sensor of a crop body
It would be ground breaking! I don't know where your tryin to get at with your comment but please keep it positive.
@renestaempfli1071 And look up Gerald undone. He has done test on the A9iii very well and could answer whatever questions you may have.
@bobnason4147 I think Sony is gonna have to do that seeing how Canon is about the rule the aps-c market with the R7ii. It's gonna be the 1st stacked sensor aps-c camera on the market.
Even tho Canon has crap glass and even worst for it apsc line up. That R7ii is gonna be sweet. Wouldn't make me change and leave Sony but I can see alot of people doing so just for the technology.
If Sony gives us a apsc with a global shutter. Than the problems they had with the A9iii wouldn't matter because it's on a apsc sized sensor.
I feel that would blow Canon out the water and Sony would capture being the apsc king with better technology and superior glass.
But that's just a dream 🙏🏿
S4 is not needed at all. The S3 was a leader at the time but I don’t see any market for an S4.
A6200 or A6500 or apsc line on sale of History
No shot you just forgot the a9III came out
Sony E mount cameras can barely handle 61 megapixel files, being 100 would bottleneck everything. We should return to Alpha A mount philosophy, the wizardry that made the A99II rack up 12fps and a buffer of 300 frames at 42 megapixel uncompressed lossless 16 bit raw vs the A7r3 of the same time unable to shoot compressed 12 bit raw at more than 5fps and 120 files
You know whats creepy? When I watch your videos and suddenly there is a different voice speaking in a different language. Does anyone know how to disable this "feature". I prefer listening to the original audio track.
Switch the Audio Track. UA-cam is annoying
All I'm really waiting for in 2025 is the Sony A1 TRUMP!
And the Sony A9 MUSK, A7 RFK and A5 TULSI
Can't stomach the Sony system when Nikon is blazing through with the next generation of global sensors in their Z9ii.
What will be the viewfinder resolution on Sony A7 mk5?
Fx3ii needs a second iso base around 3-4k
Only if it’s a triple-base like the C400. Many of us primarily shoot FX to have the native ISO12800 option.
Certainly 12800 iso is useful. It's a gainstage that makes sense when needed. Some may conclude that anything between 800 and 12800 on a fx3 looks worse compared to a modern camera with a gainstage in between. Nobody would set a c80 for example to 12800 because its beautiful, only out of necessity. So everybody needs to ND or stop down from a not optimal gainstage on fx3/6 for the majority of scenarios when iso800 is not enough. This leads to an image some might say way not on par compared to modern cameras with a middle iso gainstage. On the plus side is the Sony featureset that is unmatched some may conclude.
@@tonehtheories It’s always about the deliverables. The FX3/FX6 are fantastic for a certain category of work and therefore I wouldn’t want Sony messing too much with a formula that’s been so successful (and that commercial agencies have come to prefer). At the same time I would love to have 6k internal RAW in a next gen FX design but without giving away the low light options. We will see. The FX9 replacement I tend to think will function in the same niche as the current system 800/4000 (?) if memory serves. The rest of the FX line updates seem to be pushed out till 2026 so I’m not giving that much thought.
Man asking anything for a7v is too steep because of how shit the A1ii is(in terms of upgrades) because for this camera for that price asking for something with 4k120 ibis and all the thingamajic
Sony is putting out what the market can absorb right now. I think we have to reverse our thinking. Yes, other brands are doing some new stuff, but they sort of have to, right? I mean, people are still perfectly happy with the A7sIII/FX3/FX6 combo. It pays the bills. Even FX30 and Burano have their own market. It's hard to explain.
Fx3 mark 2 should be a 12mp global shutter in my opinion
Global Shutter would not be on my wish list. I prefer a low light monster with 6 MP.
they wont stay in the 12mp cause they need at least 25mp to have 6K open gate or 28mp for 6k with digital stabilization. The competition is already on the 6K territory I doubt Sony continue offering just 4k120p
@@joseqmeh1016k is not a format anyone actually use, its mainly just to allow editing freedom in a very short transitioning period, there no future in it as eventually everything transitions to 8k.
@@mikni4069 I agree. However Sony as a company wont't be willing to be left behind when the other brands are already there. Also pretty sure that Sony in their semiconductor division already developed capable FF sensors for 6K video. Do you think they are not gonna use what they already have it?
