This is the most informative tutorial I’ve seen yet and you didn’t say a word! You’re attention to the detail in just what you’re doing is perfect. No need for explaining, really. I wish I would have found this video before attempting my first flower after watching others. With all the talk and or them writing and me having to try to read and watch what’s going on, it’s quite a challenge. I’m a more watch and learn than I am listening to someone go on and on. It helps but you didn’t have to say a word. I know I’m being rhetorical, you just did an amazing job and I’m off to attempt these. I know it’s not as elementary as you make it look but practice will get me there. Thank you for your time and help for us who want to create! Blessings from Tennessee!
WOW, what a great tutorial. I now know I can make these flowers. I mean it's not easy but I can keep practicing till I get them right. Thank you so much
Absolutely fabulous tutorial! So easy to follow step by step. Even though I’m fairly new to clay crafting I think I could make these myself. Thank you so much for taking the time to do this!
Very gool tutorial, but because both the clay and your working surface were similar in light color, it was difficult to see your detail work on each flower!
I roll them out approx. 1/8". Sometimes the x-acto knife cuts the plastic wrap. I like to use it because I can lift the small pieces easily, they don't strech or distort. But you can use a flexible silicone craft mat too (I want to invest in one too).

Thank you! You're very kind. I'm so happy you liked this video. Hopefully, I'll be sharing new air dry clay videos soon. I have a couple of projects going on.
Hello, cute flowers. I have a question though. Why are you cross-hatching the backs of them? You are not using any 'slip', you are using a tool to press then into the base or each other. What purpose does the cross-hatching serve? I have never seen it done on air-dried clay before. Thank you!
Thank you! Depends on the flower. The thinner ones take approx. 24 hours. I like to let the thicker ones to dry for 2-3 days and rotate them several times to maximize airflow :)
That's a good question. I don't know. 😆I don't have access to a kiln, so I only use air dry clay for my projects. I think you can use the same technique. Your flowers would be more durable using clay that needs to be fired. For example, my flower with long petals has a couple of broken petals already.
Sim.
I got the acrylic rolling pin and the craft knife from my local craft store. The cutters are from my kitchen. I don't really use them for cookies :) You can find everything on Amazon.
I used Fimo air dry clay. It is not my favorite air drying clay because it cracks easily, but I had some leftover, perfect these small flowers. I like to work with DAS and Jovi :) you can find them on amazon or other craft stores (Joann's or Michaels)
Yo! I really like the flowers you are making. The rose is my favorite. I subscribed, liked and commented. I will also share it. I gotta tell ya though -> Holy Hell!!!! that plastic wrap you are using under the clay is driving me fucking bonkers. I might be the only one😅 Have a good one, thanks for the video!

These are lovely! How thick are you making the roll out? 1/8” 1/4”? And do your cuts cut the Saran Wrap too? They are marvelous!

❤nice .
This is brilliant. Do you need armatures for the clay flower?
You may need for the ones with very thin and long petals. Some of the petals on my largest flower already broke.
Thank you so much! :D

I've found that they have a better grip this way, but adding a touch of water or "slip" would be even better.
Génial. Bravo ♥️
Thank you 🙏🏻 ❤❤❤
Beautiful, very neat work
How long does it take to dry
Thank you! Depends on the flower. The thinner ones take approx. 24 hours. I like to let the thicker ones to dry for 2-3 days and rotate them several times to maximize airflow :)
Beautiful what do u use that knife to shape is that nib
Hi Thank you for the video very informative & detailed
Where would I be able to get those shapes you make the petals with ?
Em lojas de artesanato, de materiais para culinária (usa-se para modelar pasta americana)e em lojas de materiais para cerâmica.

@@ColorfulCraftCorner Thank you.
Do you think that the crayola air dry clay would work for this?
I've never tried crayola air dry clay. I heard that it cracks easily, so I don't know what to say. You can test it.
Can u please share the type of clay u r using
I used Jovi air dry clay for this project :)
Thank you
