It cannot be said enough. Putting this up on UA-cam was the best idea anyone ever had, outside of writing and recording this. Wow. Excellent. Thanks so much.
First heard this about 20 years ago on John Peel. Sing stuck in my head n tried finding it several times, but didn't realise Yakkee dah wasn't spelt that way. Lol 😁 Absolutely brilliant. Thanks for sharing 😊
Great to see the popularity in Spain. The Welsh + Galicians are related. A long time ago that's where the Welsh ancestors came from. Cymru am byth, viva Espana; amigos!
Re the song at the end: Calon lan yn llawn daioni, Tecach yw na'r lili dlos... (A pure heart full of goodness Fairer than the lily bright...) Traditional Welsh hymn, it is.
Fantástico! Qué buenos eran! Wow, qué mañana me he pasado viendo todos los vídeos!! Thank you thank you thank you!! Euros, go on recording albums: we'll be waiting for them!!
Eisteddfoddau,My Sister once was the only entrant in a Singing competition in aa Eisteddfodd and She still got only Second Place.Gorkys were the Best Band since the Beatles a d the Incredible String Band
@dialeras @dialeras You're looking at the Gorsedd of Bards of Wales. I don't think "gorsedd" can be translated to English; it's a sort of association. Anyway, they play a major role in the Eisteddfod Genedlaethol (National Cultural Festival) of Wales, in maintaining the cultural and literary traditions of the nation.
@unbekannte5 its a symbol of resistance of the language.....you probably have no idea how close welsh came to becoming extinct....my great gran was caned for speaking welsh at age of 9...so I think we are allowed to wave a few flags
Gorky's were obvoiusly having a good time in this video, which is what the title of this song refers to, according to the (original) 'Bwyd Time' liner notes...
I adored them when I was a teenager and I adore them now. Underrated beyond belief

Remember seeing them in Tokyo in about 1994. Amazing then and now
Tears of joy.

@dialeras
Google 'Eisteddfod'
They are druids, at the gorsedd ceremony.
It shows the Archdruid drinking wine from 'Y corn Hirlas' (the horn of plenty)

Love this. Could anyone translate, please?
Please can you re-up this with decent volume?
@unbekannte5
The Welsh flag is not a symbol of aggression; it is a symbol of defense of the country's traditions.
Iechyd da ichi foneddigion,
Dewch i weld os yw'r gwin yn dda...
