There's never a better time to join the hobby in my opinion despite the increasing legal backlash. Hardware and flight software is extremely mature. Digital live video is incredible. The copter I used here is a 7" QAV-S frame using DJI video and combined with 6-cell 3Ah LiIon battery with low kv motors and TBS crossfire, I get 10-15 minutes of cruising at 35-40 MPH out to 2-3 miles and flies extremely smooth and precise. Perfect for people like me that just like to explore at range. The circuit I flew here was 3.7 miles and only used half the flight battery! FPV is really amazing now.

Wow that's huge range
Its battery capacity that's the limit now with Crossfire and quality antenna. If I cruise 40-45 MPH like this I can go out comfortably a mile and a half using just under half the 6S 3Ah li-ion battery and keep the video about six minutes. Max that I ever do is 12 minutes of flight time carrying a GoPro at that speed using 2/3rds of a 6S 3Ah li-Ion pack. The furthest out I've ever gone with a copter is five miles for a twenty minute flight time... analog video, 6S 3Ah li-ion, no gopro keeping it light. Copters are quite capable now.

No, just messing around with some old equipment and deciding if I should toss it. The tracker works in a wing and its not necessary anymore. My copters are all digital fpv now.
Are you using an nd filter? What strength if so
I'm not using a filter.
