    I have a tip! My hairs grown out since the pandemic began and I started tying it up to sleep so that it would be out of my face. After a night when I twisted it at the very top and twisted it into a bun when I woke up it was very wavy. You just have to run your fingers through it for a bit and it’ll look natural.

    • @coleforder5828
      @coleforder5828 2 роки тому +41

      I shower when I wake up so wouldn’t that ruin that tying up?

    • @DoverDell23
      @DoverDell23 2 роки тому +142

      @@coleforder5828 it will. If you shower in the morning you can still tie it up after for a while to give it a chance to dry in that position. You can also blow dry it while it’s tied to speed up the process. It’s best to tie it up when it’s damp and then let it dry overnight though. If you shower in the morning and are cool with not washing your hair but are worried about it looking greasy you can use a dry shampoo to lessen the appearance of oil in the hair. I recommend Batiste’s volumizing dry shampoo. It comes in a pink aerosol can. 👍

    • @DoverDell23
      @DoverDell23 2 роки тому +17

      @@b.dimitrieski9642 you gather your hair like it’s going in a ponytail and then start twisting clockwise or counterclockwise if you want. If you keep twisting the hair it’ll eventually start to form into a bun. You’ll have to do it a few times to get the hang of how tight you want it since the tighter you go with the bun the smaller the curl.

    As a teenager who is locked up in my room due to the pandemic, I've decided to explore the extent of my hair since I was never able to grow it out, yeah school rules. After atleast few months into the pandemic I've started getting waves on my top hair and few months later the sides started to go with the flow, but the back part of my hair which is same length as my side hair remains flat and straight.
    I often become conscious about what people think when they see my wavy top and side hair paired with my back hair which is as flat as a board.
    I've even made up my mind to just go back to the student cut, but the time I've spent won't comeback as this only opportunity might only come once in my life. I've put into consideration the fact that my previous haircuts are mainly focused on the clean look where the top part remains and the back and lower sides are shaved off...
    Few more months later, my top hair grew to the point that it started to overlap the flat straight back hair, my top hair started to influence the flow of my back hair and I'm starting to see a glimmer of hope.
    The bottom part of my back hair still remains a flat and straight and so I sought this video,
    Thank you my guy, you have given me ideas that will help normalize this weird hair of mine.
    Hair finds it own ways, but sometimes it asks for directions

    Since I was a kid, I always had straight hair, but when I was 13, the hair that grew on my neck grew as curly hair, and the rest of my head had wavy hair. As I hit 15, the hair on the top of my head got from wavy to curly as well, so I decided to get a Mullet.

    Thanks I have pin straight hair (even more straight day of a wash) and it's so hard to keep it long, it parts in the middle and then falls to the sides, it's hard to keep it slicked back for a bun. I hope some of this stuff helps I am about to give up with long hair but I've gone 2 years without cutting and I probably just need to get it cut/styled better seeing it's all the same length (I started growing it out when my hair was all the same length).

    New or next video idea: how can I train my wavy hair to go in a specific direction? My hair is naturally thick and usually I just slick it back when I get out of the shower and let it air dry. It naturally will dry and get wavy on its own, but when I get a buzz(thanks dad🙄😂) about 4 months into growing it back out it just does what it wants. I’m sure a form of pomade could help

    For those with flat hair, using a vinegar rinse makes a huge difference. No one could fake my hair. However, using a sulfate free shampoo and doing a vinegar rinse will help. The vinegar is diluted, the shampoo is thoroughly rinsed and no conditioners, and no oils. Weighs the hair down. Wash with cool water, not hot. Hot water causes frizz. Remember your hair stays where it dries. Shampoo is first, then rinse, then vinegar rinse making sure to rub it in and make sure it rinses all of your hair. Then rinse with water a second time. No conditioner. Don't blow dry your hair, roll it in curlers, cover with a scarf and sleep on it. Get up, remover curlers, tada......... curls.

    This is how you curl hair. Curly is not necessarily wavy. The mannequin had wavy hair from the get go. If you have straight thick hair, wet your hair and and wear a hat forwards and backwards removing the hat every 5 min or so as your hair dries to style it. If you do it right you’ll have a wave going through the entirety of your hair and it wont look like hat head. Hopefully that helps some

      @@toomuchgames1thegoat Let it all grow out as much as your comfortable with but if the top is too long in ratio to the sides tell your barber/hairdresser to trim/take the bulk out of the top but be sure to let them know you plan on growing it all out you just need the sides to catch up with the top. And find a picture of the hair style your trying to achieve and show it to your hairdresser. Sometimes you have to get a haircut or several to prep your hair to grow into your desired hair style. Sometimes your barber takes off too much too and thats the worst and you have to start the process all over lol and sometimes you just dont have the hair for it really just comes down to knowing what hair style you want
