I have a tip! My hairs grown out since the pandemic began and I started tying it up to sleep so that it would be out of my face. After a night when I twisted it at the very top and twisted it into a bun when I woke up it was very wavy. You just have to run your fingers through it for a bit and it’ll look natural.
I shower when I wake up so wouldn’t that ruin that tying up?
@@coleforder5828 it will. If you shower in the morning you can still tie it up after for a while to give it a chance to dry in that position. You can also blow dry it while it’s tied to speed up the process. It’s best to tie it up when it’s damp and then let it dry overnight though. If you shower in the morning and are cool with not washing your hair but are worried about it looking greasy you can use a dry shampoo to lessen the appearance of oil in the hair. I recommend Batiste’s volumizing dry shampoo. It comes in a pink aerosol can. 👍
@@DoverDell23 Still replying after a year. What a champ
How do you twist it exactly
@@b.dimitrieski9642 you gather your hair like it’s going in a ponytail and then start twisting clockwise or counterclockwise if you want. If you keep twisting the hair it’ll eventually start to form into a bun. You’ll have to do it a few times to get the hang of how tight you want it since the tighter you go with the bun the smaller the curl.

As a teenager who is locked up in my room due to the pandemic, I've decided to explore the extent of my hair since I was never able to grow it out, yeah school rules. After atleast few months into the pandemic I've started getting waves on my top hair and few months later the sides started to go with the flow, but the back part of my hair which is same length as my side hair remains flat and straight.
I often become conscious about what people think when they see my wavy top and side hair paired with my back hair which is as flat as a board.
I've even made up my mind to just go back to the student cut, but the time I've spent won't comeback as this only opportunity might only come once in my life. I've put into consideration the fact that my previous haircuts are mainly focused on the clean look where the top part remains and the back and lower sides are shaved off...
Few more months later, my top hair grew to the point that it started to overlap the flat straight back hair, my top hair started to influence the flow of my back hair and I'm starting to see a glimmer of hope.
The bottom part of my back hair still remains a flat and straight and so I sought this video,
Thank you my guy, you have given me ideas that will help normalize this weird hair of mine.

You legend I was just looking for a video like this the other day
Since I was a kid, I always had straight hair, but when I was 13, the hair that grew on my neck grew as curly hair, and the rest of my head had wavy hair. As I hit 15, the hair on the top of my head got from wavy to curly as well, so I decided to get a Mullet.
Since then, I now just have wavy-curly hair
Plot twist: the mannequin hair is actually his hair
Very helpful for my straight, fine hair. Thanks!

Thanks so much for the tips.. It truly made my hair wavy..
Omg this worked I’m so apprising thanks I’m going to do this everyday
My hair is literally exactly the same as the thumbnail(length and texture). I would say its 2A or 2B. It's pretty much perfect hair texture because I can brush and blow dry for straight hair and scrunch it/diffuse it for curlier hair. Usually I just leave my hair slightly wavy.
your hair must be awesome brother!
But how long have you been lengthening it and how do you style it
@@aoooga5406 currently in quarantine, I dont style it. It reaches my lips. It does look kinda weird right now because it's in the awkward phase and I dont have styling products. I only use a blowdryer. The natural texture it dries in is great.(this is the 1st time I grown my hair out. Hence there i have no product.). What length should I grow it till to escape the awkward stage? I know you asked me this question but I have no idea what to do as my hair will get longer. What hairstyle/product should I should use?
@@Sdfghjk442 soo I'm like in the phase that the hair on top is up to my bottom lip, and the sides are like shorter but I do not use any products at all I don't use a blow drier and the ive seen a huge difference I just let it dry and it becomes like so wavy and curly it's really nice you should try it, also I'm going for the John b haircut it's a video on his channel you should check it out. Thank you for the information

My hair used to be super straight when it was shorter. Ever since I let it grow out the top is wavy and the sides are curly. Could something in my body have changed making my hair type change?
Some people’s natural curls just come with length
Same! I am growing out my hair and it’s all wavy. Like the wave but hate the shrinkage
I don't know. I have heard it can change during puberty, but most commonly it's just that the hair wasn't long enough to show the waves
That's normal for some dudes. My hair is straight when shorter but as soon as I get it to medium length it turns wavy with curly sides. Happens every time. It is what it is.

My hair is pin straight, thick but no texture whatsoever. I use a spray in conditioner (aussie conditioning mist) shortly before going to bed. When I wake up it's a mess, but I can tame it down and keep a lot of the texture and waves throughout the day.
Awesome!!!
Next Up how to make curly hair wavy pls
Great tip
Thanks I have pin straight hair (even more straight day of a wash) and it's so hard to keep it long, it parts in the middle and then falls to the sides, it's hard to keep it slicked back for a bun. I hope some of this stuff helps I am about to give up with long hair but I've gone 2 years without cutting and I probably just need to get it cut/styled better seeing it's all the same length (I started growing it out when my hair was all the same length).
My hair is semi flat and wavy at the same time, because when i take a bath it's super straight afterwards it will look like a spaghetti noodles. So i always wear a cap when i have to go outside so i won't look like a guy who just woke up.
I think it's normal that it's straight after a bath bc it's wet-
@@charliev3049 no offense but why do you put the dash at the end of the sentence its annoying

He teaches something he doesn't posses. What a hero!
New or next video idea: how can I train my wavy hair to go in a specific direction? My hair is naturally thick and usually I just slick it back when I get out of the shower and let it air dry. It naturally will dry and get wavy on its own, but when I get a buzz(thanks dad🙄😂) about 4 months into growing it back out it just does what it wants. I’m sure a form of pomade could help
He’s helping us achieve what he can’t have

For those with flat hair, using a vinegar rinse makes a huge difference. No one could fake my hair. However, using a sulfate free shampoo and doing a vinegar rinse will help. The vinegar is diluted, the shampoo is thoroughly rinsed and no conditioners, and no oils. Weighs the hair down. Wash with cool water, not hot. Hot water causes frizz. Remember your hair stays where it dries. Shampoo is first, then rinse, then vinegar rinse making sure to rub it in and make sure it rinses all of your hair. Then rinse with water a second time. No conditioner. Don't blow dry your hair, roll it in curlers, cover with a scarf and sleep on it. Get up, remover curlers, tada......... curls.
What are curlers?

LUCKY DUDE........................
Hi! I love your videos and I was wondering if you *need* to use the styling spray stuff. Because I don’t have anything like that. I mean I have hairspray but idk
I am now feel so lucky the final look of the hair is my current hair originally after my hair totally dried after shower, last time i hate it tbh
This is how you curl hair. Curly is not necessarily wavy. The mannequin had wavy hair from the get go. If you have straight thick hair, wet your hair and and wear a hat forwards and backwards removing the hat every 5 min or so as your hair dries to style it. If you do it right you’ll have a wave going through the entirety of your hair and it wont look like hat head. Hopefully that helps some
i have straight hair that i just sweep over to the right id i grow it out will it ever look like the hair in this video?
@@toomuchgames1thegoat It just depends on how thick or thin your hair is it’s possible grow it out and see
emerald88106 how should i go about this my last haircut i cut the sides shorter than the top and haven’t got a cut in like 2 months do i just keep on going and see how it forms?
@@toomuchgames1thegoat Let it all grow out as much as your comfortable with but if the top is too long in ratio to the sides tell your barber/hairdresser to trim/take the bulk out of the top but be sure to let them know you plan on growing it all out you just need the sides to catch up with the top. And find a picture of the hair style your trying to achieve and show it to your hairdresser. Sometimes you have to get a haircut or several to prep your hair to grow into your desired hair style. Sometimes your barber takes off too much too and thats the worst and you have to start the process all over lol and sometimes you just dont have the hair for it really just comes down to knowing what hair style you want
imma try this
