I came from the Minimal Mom too. Interesting idea. I love that its fresh food and gluten-free!
I have already given 3 of these books as gifts. This is FROM NOW ON my wedding, baby shower, birthday or Christmas gift! My daughter, my daughter-in-law and I have LOVE everything we have made so far. THANK YOU!!!!!!!!
I came over from The Minimal Mom's channel. Thank you for doing a video to show what a week looks like. I bought the book via Dawn's advice and can't wait to make these!
tporters1 me too!!! I saw this on minimal Mom and the book came in yesterday!!!
Me too. Dawn of minimal mom
Same! Book is on its way. I'm wondering if the recipes can be doubled?
Same!
Same. Book is on its way! 😋
Came over from The Minimal Mom! Can’t wait to start on Monday!!!! We are so so busy now days and I can see how this is going to make a big difference! Thanks for all of your hard work!
Came over from the Minimal Mom’s channel. This is a game changer! Thank u!!
I bought this book about 6 weeks ago. Life changing! Everything I've made so far is delicious and a hit with my family, and I don't have the mental task of coming up with dinner ideas. Best of all, I'm not going to the grocery store every single day and spending $50+ per trip, so I'm saving a lot of money. Thank you for making this meal plan!
I'm coming to the comments for real reviews :) I've been looking for a way to stop Hellofresh and still have a plan for food. I'm going to get this!!
I saw your book on minimal mom's channel. I instantly purchased it, and can't wait to try out the recipes. Thank you for creating such a treasure.
I want to do these, and then do crock pot meals for 3 days, and then do a big nice Sunday supper and dessert 💗 We eat a ton of bananas as snacks in our house. I think our meals are more ground beef than anything. I am looking to get more variety and nutrients for energy. Mamma is tired over here!😂
I just bought your book after I saw it praised by Domesticblisters on tiktok. I love it so far! The concept is genius. We had our Sunday prep day and it only took about an hour! Down from my usual 3-3.5 hours. Thank you!
Please make a vegetarian edition for cook once
I LOVE you book! I’ve already bought 3 copies for friends! I’m even feature it on my UA-cam channel as well!! Thank you for your brilliance!!
I bought your book and love it!!! Did my first meal prep today, but will do my first dinner tomorrow. Today when I was prepping I made a little extra chicken and made Chicken Quessdillas and salad. Thank you so much for your book!
Thank you Cassy! I absolutely love this! I just went back to work at age 47 and I am exhausted when I get home but want a nice hot home cooked meal. This is exactly what I needed!
Just bought your cookbook. Can’t wait to give a week a try! What a great idea for cooking for our loved ones!
Thank you for your book and these videos! I just got the book and prepped for week 3, had the loaded cauliflower casserole for dinner and leftovers for lunch, which I’m so looking forward to.
Here from minimal mom--love this!!
Although the idea of pre-prepping is good, I cook meals seven nights a week. The title of the book led me to believe my family of five would eat all week. Three days is only half a week, even with a leftover night. The meals generally look good and I like the simplicity of three main ingredients.
Get the cookbook and you will understand. Also, leftovers! Yay!
Found you from minimal mom channel. I think this plan may actually work for me!
I'm here from the minimal mom as well! 😆
Thank you sooooo much for coming up with this idea. I love this cookbook. Eating fresh news meals every night is a great way to stay healthy. Spending time together, talking about our day around the dinner table with a fresh meal...a must for our family. Thank you for taking the gesswork out of cooking Weekley meals. When is the second cookbook coming out? LoL
I came from Minimal Mom. Just bought your cookbook. Can’t wait to get it and start cooking
Thank you for sharing! This sounds great! We have to have a lot of adjustments to our food (no: gluten, dairy, soy, corn, eggs, GMOs, and many of the pesticides & herbicides, MSG & other additives). It seems like the list of what I can't have is longer than what I can, and then most everything has to come from scratch. Having a cookbook that shares different options would be great. It's easy to get stuck in a rut when you are limited. Plus, saving time would lift a burden!
So glad you are trying this out and reporting on it!!!
Came from the Minimal Mom as well... really fantastic for the working from home moms
Just got your book...week 11 is what’s happening next week! Thank you 😊
Lynne Cunningham how are you doing with it? I want to order the book also.
Great video 😀
came over form the minimal mom channel. This looks amazing!!
Damn this seems like Portuguese food! Sooo good!
omg! life saver!
Minimal Mom is where I heard about this book and I ordered it from Amazon. It's on sale now.
Came from Minimal Mom, I'm sold gonna buy the book
Is there a place where I could find nutritional/calorie information for the recipes in your book? We are loving the recipes!
🌈🌈✨💖✨🌈🌈
D E L I C I O U S !!
Made this, loved it!
Addendum one year later...
Still living and loving cooking Cassie Joy style!
Favorite recipe is Confetti Chicken Casserole 🥘
Btw I’m single and plan over/ freezer prep, and over time, collected a great variety of my own healthy, cheap and yummy frozen meals. I always have a healthy lunch to grab for work.
Please buy the book and give 4-5 weeks a try! Start with any week that looks good. I started with week 8 because hamburger was in sale that week.
Thank you Cassie!!! You have improved my life in so many ways!
So these freeze well? Just bow really looking into this.
This comes along right when I need it! I think I might need to double some recipes because my kids are big eaters and I like leftovers for lunch but other than that the recipes look great! I have seen a few featured on another channel. Can’t wait to get this book!
Just boggles your cookbook. Can’t wait to give a week a try!
Hello, Will you have the Cook Once, Eat All Week cookbook reprinted due to the pages around 353 and up being printed upside down?
Would it work out to use turkey bacon and just leave off the pork rinds? I get horrible heartburn from pork, but turkey bacon doesn't really get crispy. :/
What wine do you cook with?
I'm going to buy this book. But we've been thinking about eating more vegan a few days a week. Have you ever thought of writing a book like that?
After prep, do i freeze all?
But how is this fresh?
I don't want to eat 5 day old food by the end of the week
Curious why you used pork rinds instead of the alternatives? That seems like a keto option which is awesome sauce but potatos are sadly (tears streaming down...LOL!) are not allowed. Is there a way to modify these to make them keto friendly? New subscriber! Love your fun and bubbly nature! :)
Thanks mommmmmmy for another great channel find!
Heather H just substitute cauliflower or squash, or anything with less carbs for the potatoes. Most veggies roast pretty much the same, although the time in the oven and temp might differ a bit. I was just watching Minimal Mom (I think) she’s been doing these meal plans too, and I was thinking if only there weren’t potato’s... then remembered cauliflower mashes pretty nice and roasts.
Loooove this idea ! And I wish for this cookbook but then without all the meat....maybe in the future you will make it also without meat...and for now I will find meat replacers....
I don’t get it....how did the garlic and onions slice themselves? And since when do people only eat 3 times a week? How did the bacon stay crispy till the end of the week?
My husband doesn’t like ranch dressing. What would you recommend as a replacement for that?
Stevie Bredeson I think that’s going to be based on what you both do like. I’m sure that you could think of quite a few just think of a dressing or sauce that sounds good with the other ingredients also I didn’t but sometimes I google alternatives for certain things.
BBQ is always a good option mash potatoes, BBQ sauce and bacon, yes please!
I’m intrigued....Are these mostly casseroles?
Nope! Quite a variety to choose from!
Wish there was a cookbook like this for vegans!
TheBathroomGirl you can use the base recipe and substitute for vegan ingredients
I agree who only eat 3 meals what do you do the other days
Charlotte Carrière it’s a start to meal planning . It’s not all or nothing .
I think you could double it and eat each twice a week or do two weeks at a time?!?!
Charlotte Carrière You freeze some and cook another week.....jeez
It looks like a good idea. However, there are only three meals, not a whole week, and each meal looks like only enough for a small family.... maybe two or three people. I like the idea of prepping for more than one day though.
This is a great cookbook, good ideas but if you have a black or Mexican husband I don't see them eating all these casseroles and goulash meals.
Dawanda Bocanegra Then maybe this isn't the book for you. Simple!
Dawanda Bocanegra that seems to be a very stereotypical comment. Quite rude to the people you have grouped that you think won’t like it.
Joann, the book has two bonus meals with a different protein if you choose to use them. Super simple (thank goodness). We are a family of 8 so I double the recipes. At our house Friday is pizza night and usually one night is "fend for yourself" night. My kiddos are teens and can "fend" for themselves by eating leftovers or making what they want. Hope that helps.
Dawanda, we are Hispanic and like the meals. :)
I'm a bit confused. The book is called cook once and eat all week but you only do 3 meals? What do you do the other 4 days a week?
The portion sizes are quite big for each recipe
@@RJweblink not for my family they wouldn't be
Minimal Mom sent me!
I love this idea, but my kids will eat zero of these dishes. Wish the book was healthy kid friendly dishes.
Kel I got the book and was worried about that too...well, the kid eating part. My husband is paleo and all the recipes suggest alternate methods to adapt to diets (non-dairy, GF, Paleo, etc). As it turned out, we are six recipes in and my kids who are finicky have tried...brace yourself....VEGETABLES! And liked them. Not every recipe has been a total winner with them, but they’ve been eaten without complaint. The portion control has been particularly helpful!
@@lucindasantiago2600 thanks for the info! I love the idea. Appreciate your time for the info. I might give it a try and maybe have to modify some weeks or get rid of some recipes they would never eat.
Well in my time kids would eat what the parents put on the table. Who knows? They have to experiment or else they ll be food analphabets
I’ve been watching other UA-camrs who show their kids and their opinions most are good. Sometimes they modify things a bit. The key is always at least trying it. As the pediatrician said don’t feed the kids the stuff they will only eat that’s unhealthy just to get food in them eventually they will get hungry and eat the good stuff. That threw me aback but she is right.
It's a short week if it's just three dinners...
Lol
LEFTOVERS......
Oh, yeah...every recipe has actually LOOKED like the picture in the cookbook! Does that EVER happen?
The music is too repetitive and competes with your voice.
