Today we have a special guest as we try on some Target Future Collective Haul. This Target Try On Haul is one of my favorites because I get to do it with one of my real life friends @christenamelea. She is a plus size fashion influencer based out of Birmingham, Alabama. We picked up some things for this Target Haul 2024 from the Future Collective and decided to style it on different body types and shapes. As a midsize girl, I know to an extent how hard dressing can be when your body isn’t the “socially accepted” type!
We are also talking body positivity, confidence and body types for women and body type styling! We had some giggles, loved on some clothing from Target and had some good drinks! Enjoy queens.

The jeans and the strapless peplum top were the only items I wanted to get - didn't get either. Those jeans are bomb! I did pick up the black vest, and a white square neck notched top to support. But if I could get a 10 in those jeans, I would be ecstatic. 😂 There are 2 size 22 dresses in the Chicago area - one each in the South Loop and West Loop stores, for anyone who's looking.

The collection has some beautiful pieces but they run small. I ordered the vest and matching pant online but I had to run them.
I didn’t get the vest but everything else runs a bit larger to me

So what is the best advice for a too skinny girlie, my shape is NONE! LOL. Besides the advice I always get which is... eat a donut... what do you recommend to give me curves where none exist??
Oh it’s all about choosing clothing that’s gives the illusion of an hourglass! So dress that flare toward the bottom, accentuate your fav body part, highlight those long legs with shorter hems, denim and pants with padded pockets, peplum tops.
I was able to get the jeans from the Target collection in a 0 so at least I got those! Can't wait to get them!!
BMI wise, if you deny it, it is not just a number. Deny the health aspect of it, it is not a positive body image.
