Stratosphere yeah, this feels more like his old albums, as in, more of a compilation of tracks he worked on through the year, rather than a more cohesive and realized project. It's still good though, the only thing that bothers me is how there's nothing here which I haven't listened to before.

ELECTRO DANCE HOUSE PLAYLIST actually it's on soundcloud. It's like a different sound than his. Like too crazy. PS I'm 14 years old using FL Studio 12. m.soundcloud.com/thomas-lind-iv
I love how the intro is reflective of his creative process...well the whole song is. Trying to match the perfect idea he has in his head into what it should sound like. His music has helped me understand my own issues with anxiety.
If you like the intro and the melody, you should check out "71c". This melody has been floating out there for a long time in various drafts. And while I love the "raw and dirty" sawtooth bass of this track, I love 71c for its calmness and the exposure of something that Joel is really good at - throwing together melodies of 15/16th bars length with a 16/16 beat pattern. He does it in this one, in the 71c version of course, in Tau V2, and some other tracks. I love it! :)
I understand what you're saying, I might not have use the right caliber of words. But my point still stands clear, compare the "upcoming analog melody with the beat" in FML for an example, it comes in strong and just at the right spot, for my ears atleast.
I mean at least change it the second time around, that's what he does with most of his tracks and it sounds great (examples: FML, Let Go, Right This Second, etc.) The first drop is a bit underwhelming, but the second drop is eargasmic. I'd rather him change the drop, but if he can't do that, at least have some differences from the first one.
at this point you're talking nonsense trying to criticize big room bounce trap etc. ofc there's a drop. a 5 year old child recognizes it. we're not studio producers here, we're youtube folks. this kind of drop is fairly popular in techno. see maceo plex - conjure floyd.
I really liked the intro compared to the rest of the song. Something about it is very...motivating? uplifting? Not sure but it was very intense. The rest of the song (for me) seemed very repetitive and I completely lost the feeling I felt from the beginning. Still a great song though.
This in not a track, not a song, not even art. This is pure melodical perfection. A stadium of musical consciousness that makes possible to transform simple things into masterpieces. Deadmau5 can barely be described as an human being. The first approach with the melody happens in a random-like order that makes think of the insecurity of having a low social impact on people, can also be interpretated like the ingenuity of childhood and the consequent overimagination, for this reasons i think that the name Imaginary Friends fits perfectly. The very final part almost confirm the second feeling. In the drop can also be recognized a strong deadmau5 touch, i love the way that the simple "monotony" became mantrical.
Idk, I think deadmau5 is still human. Sure he's better than most humans out there, but he's not a god. Also, this song doesn't seem complete. The intro is amazing but the drop is just boring. I wouldn't go as far as saying that this is one of the best songs ever made. This is just my opinion though, if you masturbate to this song every night, you do you. My opinion shouldn't affect yours.
This is the 1st song he put on his soundcloud for this album(excluding Glish and Deus Ex Machina cuz those are from 2014) so how haven't you heard this song before the album came out?

The intro alone is amazing, how the volumes are being manipulated in this zen commentary. ADSR for the win, right? Filters, and listen how at 1:20 things get quiet and lovely.
From the sounds of it, he has 1 single sinewave LFO controllin these multiple parameters, filter, fm input and volume mods, the real genius behind is the off-time notes he set up, it's so freakin catchy, if anyone is interested in this, learn about modular synthesis and the signal chains of source to amp thru many modules it's very fun ^_^

This is one of the most goose skin exciting build ups paired with an incredibly deep and flawless "drop".
Amazing build up, one of his best melodies. I don't think the drop matches the quality of the melody build up though.
