Just got the master liquid core ARGB for my i7 7700k. And it is absolutely awesome. Before my idle temperatures were like 60° c. Now my idle temperatures are between 21 and 30. And it never goes above that in idle or light tasks
To be fair to NZXT I understand why they went black for those cables as most people are trying to hide those cables and black is much easier to camouflage on your board.
I have a previous version of the ml360 in white. Overall I like it, it is easy to install, good looking and has good details as pointed on this video. It is noisy and the fans could be better. It keeps my 12400f under 30c most of the time, so I am very pleased.
The reason you need 360 for i9 or similar is because of heat soak, the longer the system runs the hotter the liquid gets and that becomes a problem, by adding more surface area for the water to transfer heat and also more liquid you improve the cooling performance by about 1/3. So if you're running around 75C with a 240MM then you can expect about a 10 degree difference in extended maximum power usage. Now undervolt it and you're going to get an even more stable system. Remember a hot wire takes more power to get the same voltage, so by keeping your CPU cooler it improved electron flow. That's my 2 cents. Responsiveness and stutter can mean your CPU on normal settings can be struggling with auto-clocking boosting your CPU and that creates stutters and undesired effects and leads to more unexpected crashes and behaviors.
Thanks for the review. In Germany this currently goes for 90 Euros on the White Edition. Despite a slight hit in performance I still think that this is a worthwhile product. The 25mm thickness allows for more compatibility, the main reason for me since I am limited to sub 30mm. Combined with a reputable brand and the very low price tag a 5°C hit at 200W is more than reasonable in my opinion. And as other reviews show at lower temperatures the distance gets even smaller.
well, replace the fans with some noctua or arctic p14 and you get rly nice cooling performance for the bang. btw cooler master fans are one of the worst for aio. Great review. 👌
I recently upgraded from an i3 12100F to an i7 13700KF paired with a Cooler Master Hyper 212 120mm air cooler. With gaming, the 212 was more than sufficient to cool the i7 with temps barely breaking 80c. When it came to rendering video however, temps would shoot straight to 100c and the CPU would throttle. I installed this particular AIO to my new i7, and temps now peak between 89c and 92c. For $100, this AIO is more than worth the price.
Need help on this one. Will this be enough for a R7 5700x? Ofc the temps are high while using it on a 7950X but I just bought the 240 version and I'm not sure if it'll be enough for a 5700x.
what workload was put on the cpu when testing thermals ? and i think for a so hot running cpu with tjmax of 95 degrees .. this cooler is really acceptable based on the test workload you have put in , if cinebench then absolutely fine ...need to know
Had the previous version with the 3rd Gen pump, 280mm and the performance was incredible for the price something like £70 or less was a am on only product as well
I had to buy this because it's all the local shop had and my other AIO died on me. It performs shit, but it keeps the 5800X3D cool enough to not throttle and beats the broken Lian Li i threw out.
can't really decide what to get for my 13700k. looking forward to the new tests. as i see a lot of different results from every source... it's not really helping me decide :/
Good detailed video. What temps do you get on idle with that? I have the same CPU and AIO and I'm getting between 49-52 degree Celsius on idle. Pump speed is at maximum and fans speed I keep it around 70% due to noise. I'm curios what temps you get on idle. Thank you.
i originally bought this aio for my i7 9700k but on my new i7 12700kf while stresstesting my cpu is running up to 100 degrees. id imagine it just needs better fans to cool down the radiator more and it would be fine
Running this stock on a i7 13700kf. All fans on silent, 68c when on full load... i guess if i crank them to full blast i could get the temps lower but... why thou? I bought it to be silent and under 70c xD
Cooler Master’s in-house designed pump was always the quietest pump I’d ever seen. It is actually quieter at 100% than 50%, and at 100% it was silent. They are the only AIO I would use because the others are just annoyingly loud. Here’s hoping the new gen is as good as the old one!
Just installed this on my rig and cant figure out how to control the rgb. The fans work and light up but no rgb software detects the hub that comes with the cooler. Can anyone explain how to control the fans rgb effects?
You need to connect the ARGB cable from the cooler to your motherboard RGB header and use the motherboard RGB software to control the lighting effects.
i got an i 5 13600k and for me in everygame i play its working fine af idk if mine is a budget cpu i think yes but its a strong cpu atm if i am not wrong and i dont have any problems with heat
Depends on which CPU you plan to use it with. If it's low power then it's worth buying at the current Amazon deal price. If you plan on using it with a high power CPU such as the 7950X or i9 etc I'd be tempted to buy an alternative with better performance.
Yep the cheapest Cooler Master fans are on this are hot garbage, the fans on the Cooolermaster Illusion are pretty good however and they can be purchased separately for this, mid due better off just buying a Cooolermaster Illusion.
oh, glad i found this video, it could be a good option for that price, but here in brazil it costs around US$170 .. so no thanks, ill have to look for someone else
@@KitGuruJames Yep agreed, but it's hard to take away it's performance considering the price point. Atleast here in Denmark, Arctic AIO are some of the cheapest you can get whilst still getting a brand people have heard off :)
So is the performance being limited by fans, or it's performance being hampered by other things like the rad/pump? If it's only limited by the included fans, then yes I would (because I can always swap over the Corsair maglev fans I have on my current Cooler Master AIO).
I tested a few other fans on the cooler as I was curious about this too. Phanteks D30, Noctua A12x25, and the fans from the Endorfy Navis. None of them made any significant improvement to performance.

how is a pump quieter at full speed than half speed? is that what you are saying or am I reading that wrong?
Some fans/pumps make audible grinding/clicking noises at certain speeds. So the higher speed can sound better in such cases.
