You have to admit Most singers today can Sing… It’s just that what they’re singing… isn’t that good… at all… And 50% of them use Autotune This feels Natural, and has actual Soul put into the lyrics
@@dominothealphaandomega5512 i fully agree with this, if people took the time to listen to other genres of music thats not mainstream, those people can seriously sing
Which way you goin' Billy? can i go too? which way you goin' Billy? can i go with you? I love the clean electric guitar notes that slide up on this part: You are my whole, babe My heart and my soul, babe I'd have nothing to show, babe If you should go away Just discovered this song on a flashdrive of mp3's that my dad gave me. Pretty song that flows smooth. Why can't we make music like this any more?
Poppy is another name for The Amapola plant, from which Morphine, and Heroine is made. Found in great numbers in the Golden Triangle, Afganistan, Tailand and Myanmar(?) a place where the three nations meet.
Back when great music was written and people could actually sing!

From a time when lyrics were poetry and art. And not to mention when singers sounded like angels. Thank you for posting the words.
Big on 1510 WMEX Boston in 1970. Made the top hundred for an incredulous year in music.

Probably go to the haight or the nam. I was just a kid when I first heard this.
A forgotten classic in some ways, but wasn't music in general really top drawer in the 60,s and 70,s. Just saying.
Went with the hippies or the country. Is that what she meant?
I think she stalked Billy...
할렐루야
What year did this come out?
1969. Charted in US 1970
