Oh my Mighty Lord !!! First time I hear it like THIS !! I just can't get enough of !! Love it, love the choir ! love the conductor !! Love the church audience !! Glory to God !!!
Are you fascinated by the way it sounds or the words. Too many in the Body fall in love with the sound and not what the words are saying. Everything is a show (not saying this is). We didn’t have church unless someone shouted or the music drowned out the words or someone screamed through the song. Can we worship without the extra? Don’t get me wrong, it sounds great for emotions but the words are what I’m after not a show!
Wonderful ...The words were written in 1834 by Edward Mote . He was pastor of Rehoboth Baptist chapel, Horsham England . The chapel is still there preaching Jesus Christ is Lord
I never heard this version til around a month ago when someone sang it in a concert. I had to come and find it on here. I sing this every single day. The power of words, the power of hope, the power of GOD. WOW.
I am an ELCA Lutheran from South Carolina. I play the piano and organ. Today (August 31), I attended worship at a local Presbyterian Church. We sang this as the Hymn of Reflection. However, it was to the tune, THE SOLID ROCK, composed by William Batchelder Bradbury.
sanctuary chior at QCUMC sang this rendition this past Sunday at our 10:30 service. Everyone was blessed. This nothing but the good LORD'S work!!!!!!!!!!
This was a necessary viewing this morning. I searched You Tube for this hymn and to hear your anointed rendition of it simply blessed my soul. I only wish I could have seen the entire footage of this rendering. Thank you so much.
This is at the Mt. Zion Fellowship of the Bretheren, in Cleveland, OH. Pastor Ron Williams is on the piano narrating. A great legacy of church music, worship, and the word of God have gone forth there for over 25 years.
Emotions are not true worship, just a performance and that’s NOT what the Lord wants. He wants a pure worship not who can shout the best or scream the loudest, PURE WORSHIP! This is a major problem in our black churches. We allow to much of the world on display and not enough of the word and deliverance going forth. No time to play church it’s time for God to deliver the church so we can get His work completed!
@arlishaedwards4850 ma'am I don't know if you are willing ie able to respond to a 2 year old comment on a 13 year old video. But the words of this song as well as many other versions of the same song have brought conviction to my spirit. I have allowed myself to become ensnared in pornography again while currently deployed to Iraq and I even prayed for forgiveness sincerely prior to the act just to Go right on doing it. I had no idea how even after I could create every scenario in my mind or how I could allow Satan to make me think that I was too far from Jesus redemption and forgiveness, but somehow instead of the despair and separation he lead me straight to this song From your experience, how has putting faith in Christian helped you along your journey against temptation? Am I trying to hard to do things on my own?
For they being ignorant of God's righteousness, and going about to establish their own righteousness, have not submitted themselves unto the righteousness of God. But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness. For Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to every one that believeth. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures: For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God: Not of works, lest any man should boast.
❤Timeless!!!! A strong foundation You are my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ!!!🙏🏽Amen!!!

This Dr. Prof. Charles Minor Sr. I am the composer of-My hope is built. I Thankyou so much and I am so encourage. Thankyou Jesus!
This is the epitome of what a church choir should sound like. I wish these new age choirs would take it back to this
What is a new age choir? As long s worship goes forth and not a “performance” God will be pleased!
They don't do it like this anymore! I love it!
