This game is hard! I bought a boat too soon and immediately shipwrecked and died! Haha. Moral of the story don't buy a boat at level 1! Lol

I second this. And you have the advantage of being able to marathon the seasons.
Though i am interested in this book series now.

I find fabled lands confusing. I play destiny quest. Which is like playing a video game, the problem I find with fabled lands is there's no explanation to your choices, from paragraph 1 I ended up going along a coast, then asked if I want to be afraid apprentice. After this point restricted. Maybe another play through. I found it confusing.. Destiny Quest is fun, screaming at your dice and hoping that necklace of charm can save you. Big vibrant characters memorable NPCs. I will give this another try but when you have just one book, it's restricted because you can't sandbox unless you have all books.Destiny Quest doesn't play like this, it is very restrictive but does hold secrets. Just a thought.

Reminds me of the Fighting Fantasy game books I played as a kid.

Definitely, though I would equate it more to the Lone Wolf series, since your character builds up in power as you go from book to book. I always loved these books (and Choose Your Own Adventure in general) growing up. They even had series of Tolkien, Nintendo, Sonic, Narnia, Marvel, Star Wars, Sherlock Holmes, Carmen Sandiego, and the list goes on. A few series, two of which were Crossroads and Combat Command, had single adventure books each set in the world of a different fantasy/sci-fi series (Pern, Xanth, Amber, Bio of a Space Tyrant, Starship Troopers, and others).
So many choices, so little time...😁
